Pros:

-moisturizes somewhat

Cons:

-thick
-awful yellow tint
-doesn't absorb as well as the previous formula
-really does encourage new acne and doesn't help existing pimples

I didn't even notice I had this until I used it and it had a yellow tint. Pretty thick and gross, it's hard to spread and it doesn't absorb as well as the other formula. This legit causes new acne and there's no way I'm going to let that happen. The last one was awesome and light and perfect, and I'm currently using the remainder of it, but I don't know what I will use after that. I'll probably quit buying moisturizer from acne.org altogether. There was nothing wrong with the other moisturizer and everyone mostly seemed to like it and liked it. Really disappointed in it.

Pros:

makes skin FEEL wonderful

doesn't cause breakouts and even has a calming effect on skin and acne

more lightweight than cetaphil

Cons:

does not take care of flakiness and flakes are dyed a yellowish color which makes face slightly yellowish all around

this seems to be the only flaw is the system he should just bring back the old one "if it aint broke, don't try and fix it"

Pros:

Won’t clog pores

Cons:

1) Can make face shiny for up to 2 hours after applying.

2) Doesn’t moisturize nearly as well as the old formula. My face is dry again after a few hours, even with jojoba oil.

3) Doesn’t absorb nearly as quickly as the old moisturizer.

I had been on Dan's regimen for a few months and was 90 % clear. Like many of you I got really excited about the new moisturizer and decided to check it out. After about a week my face became very dry and sensitive to bp. The next week I had to start lessening the dosage of bp because my face was starting to burn. Eventually I had to stop the regimen all together because my face just could not handle it without the help of a good moisturizer. I have started the regimen again, just using pb over night, and my face is still extremely dry and flakey. I loved the old moisturizer. Please bring it back so I can go back to when my skin was first clear with the regimen.

Pros:

-does not make skin burn/sting
-helps keep flakiness away

Cons:

-made my skin feel rough and dry
-with time it would creep toward the skin around my eyes even if I stayed away from the area when moisturizing

When I first started using the moisturizer, I liked it. It didn't burn like the original acne.org moisturizer did and it seemed to help control flakiness. However, it made my skin start to feel rough and dry. This moisturizer did not allow my skin to clear up and it actually started making me break out. My theory is that my skin does not like jojoba oil. So, I decided to switch to a different moisturizer after using this one for 4 weeks. After making the switch, after only two applications, my skin felt soft and it got dramatically clearer. This is my second time starting the acne.org regimen. I used it for about a year and a half before and my skin was near perfect. I decided to stop to see if my skin would stay clear on its own...it did NOT. The first time around my skin stopped breaking out within a month, this time my skin kept breaking out after at least four weeks on the regimen. Since switching to a different moisturizer I believe this acne.org moisturizer was hindering my skin's progress and making it worse. I love the treatment, though =) P.S. The price paid includes shipping and handling.

Pros:

-Almost no shine after applying
-Less stinging than old formula

Cons:

-Doesn't moisturize very well
-Doesn't help with flakiness AT ALL
-Leaves a thicker feel on the skin than old formula
-More expensive than old formula
-Stinks a bit

I absolutely loved the old formula, so I had high hopes for this new one. I figured it could only get better, but boy was I wrong. I don't care for this much at all. I have a lot of trouble with flakiness, and the old formula almost completely controlled my flakes, but this new formula does almost nothing for them. I can only hope that Dan brings back the old moisturizer in a less expensive form than the 2oz bottles.

Pros:

light on the skin and moisturized a bit

Cons:

-leaves yellow tint on skin
-burning/tingling sensation after applying it
-left my skin a bit red
-too much for skin to handle

It's a creamy moisturizer, great if it were more sensitive but in combination with an already oily face it made my acne flare up at times. It leaves your face with a yellow tint and burns when you apply it. I recommend if your face is extremely dry, other than that get a better moisturizer.

Pros:

Does not leave skin shiny.
Leaves most of my face silky.

Cons:

Does not work on all areas of my face.

I have to say I prefer the old moisturizer. The old one tended to leave the skin shiny and the new one doesn't, but the new one just doesn't work as well. I have had to switch to Cetaphil for my forehead and neck because those areas were much too dry with the new moisturizer.

Pros:

Contains licorice root extract for soothing
Yellow tint can help hide acne in some skin tones

Cons:

Does not fully counteract the drying properties of benzoyl peroxide in my case

My background: Naturally (when not on the Regimen) my skin is neither oily nor dry, it takes care of itself in that aspect; also my skin is not particularly sensitive, just acne prone. When using the BP, it is perfectly normal for it to dry your skin out. The moisturizer is supposed to combat that, and it doesn't. I have to add jojoba oil to get it to even remotely work, which leaves my face very shiny and oily, not soft. The AHA+ is a much better moisturizer once you're a few weeks along in the Regimen, but should only be used sparingly. I think I will go hunting for a new moisturizer because this one isn't cutting it for me.

Pros:

VERY lightweight - like liquid silk
Absorbs Quickly
Doesn't cause breakouts
It has regulatory ingredients which have helped curve my oil production.

Cons:

NO SPF(remember skin needs sun protection throughout ALL seasons)
Gives moisture but KEEPING that moisture throughout the day is an issue
A bit of a greasy look in the daytime

The bottom line is that is the lotion for those that are seeking: a NIGHT lotion( it doesn't contain ANY sun protection) that doesn't feel heavy on the skin, is gentle, and provides moderate moisture. Best for 3 out of 4 seasons. In winter it is wise to move on to a petrolatum based product.
