Pros:

Doesn't make your face oily
Goes on easy

Cons:

Leaves a noticeable yellow tint
Does not take care of flakes
Does not take care of dryness

Worst moisturizer I've ever used. My face was very dry but I kept on using it, applied more and more to take care of the dryness but just ended up looking like a lemon. If you accidentally rub your face on your clothes or anything, it will turn yellow. Did not hydrate one bit, dries yellow. If you have any flakes, it will dye them yellow. Bottom line, does nothing for your skin besides, once again, making it yellow. Bring back the old moisturizer pleeeease!

Pros:

None

Cons:

Leaves skin red and dry. Been using all of Dan's products for many years with great success. This new moisturizer felt good going on but did not moisturizer at all. In fact it broke me out horribly and I have had to find a new moisturizer to replace it and get my skin back to normal.

Not moisturizing and leaves skin dry and flaky. Please bring back the old one!

Pros:

None

Cons:

Colors your skin, stings after application of BP, Doesn't moisturize, leaves skin greasy.

I really did try to like this product but the reality is that this moisturizer just doesn't work at all. I made the mistake of applying it to my neck and it just made it horribly dry, itchy, and I broke out in a rash. Save your money.

Cons:

This crap does not moisturize.

The old stuff worked sooooo well for me Dan. Why did u take it away. I thought you wanted to help people. My acne is worse then it has ever been. I wish I could buy the old stuff.

Pros:

No Sheen

Cons:

Not moisturizing
Leaves flakiness

I was very excited to try Dan's new moisturizer. However I was disappointed for the first time with one of Dan's products. The first day I used it I got really flaky and had very tight skin. I kept an open mind and continued to use it in hopes that my skin would get used to it. I read in Dan's blog about using 3 pumps and I believed that would fix the issue as I was only using 1 or 2. After about 2 weeks of using 3+ pumps I am still very dry and have decided to switch back to the old moisturizer. Maybe I could use more and be okay but there comes a point where one must balance time and benefit. I already spend 10-15minutes for the regimen and it works great. However, there comes a limit to how much time is practical and adding in the 'soaking in' time for 3+ pumps of moisturizer is pushing the line for me Dan seem's very open minded to suggestions so I'm sure it won't be long before we see an update to the new moisturizer. Until then I hope my old formula will last!

Pros:

Sadly, none

Cons:

Doesn't get rid of flakes
Stings face after BP
Just doesn't moisturize in general

It worked at first and I got my hopes up believing it would work, but after about a week it just stopped working even when I used a huge amount of the product with jojoba. I decided I would still give it a chance and kept using it for about 3 months (plus I didn't trust any products but Dan's, until now) but it still wouldn't solve the dryness and flaking. Eventually I gave up on it and starting using Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultrahydrating Lotion, which did solve the flakes, but makes my face red and kind of greasy. It's a shame, because all of Dan's other products are marvelous, but the moisturizer just ruins it. We need the old one.

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Smells weird.
Don't like the weird yellow color, dries yellow.
Sits on top of my skin instead of absorbing into it.
Stings my face, like bad.
Doesn't take care of flakiness.
Doesn't make my face soft.
Greasy.

When I applied it to my face it just stings a lot. So when I read that Dan said it should for awhile, and then goes away doesn't make sense to me. Why should a lotion sting my face? I have BP for that; I am looking for something that makes my face feel BETTER and not worse like it has been. When I applied it (while barely touching skin like advised) it wouldn't rub in, instead just spreads around, so I would let it air dry. And then my face is still dry, so I apply more, still dry. I would have to apply it several times before it would even just cover up the flakiness. I've been on the DKR for 3 weeks now and yes while I understand my face needs to get used to the BP and I will see dryness and flakiness for awhile, I want a lotion that makes my face feel better and not worse. That hydrates my face, instead it just sits on top and smells funny. While I do love the cleanser and the BP and it works like magic, I'm gonna look for a new moisturizer because this stuff isn't cutting it.

Which moisturizer u using now?
January 14, 2011

Pros:

Can't find any.

Cons:

Does not moisturize my skin at all. Skin feels very tight and dry an hour after I apply 4 pumps... Did not help at all with flaking. Even after applying 4 pumps, my face was dry and tight and shiny at the same time. Switched to Cetaphil and never looked back.

Pass on this moisturizer, especially if you are early on the regimen. Cetaphil worked wonders for me.

Pros:

helps reduce redness

Cons:

does not moisturize
leaves many flakes

not effective at all at moisturizing. I use the entire 2 pumps like recommended, but using 2 entire pumps doesnt even really absorb into the skin. Works fine for about an hour or 2 then face becomes extremely dry/flaky

What a shame....

Pros:

NOEN

Cons:

EVERYTHING

I loved the old formula. As soon as i started using this one, i noticed my face was more flaky and greasy. The old formula was absolutely phenomenal. Then he comes up with this new one and tells people to add in jojoba oil to make it moisturizing... Dan, there is no need to "add" other stuff to a moisturizer if it was designed correctly to begin with. You obviously don't really care about us, just became greedy... what a shame. So many people have asked to produce the old formula as well as an option, but its disappointing.
