Pros:

-it actually works
-smells delicious (compared to things like Apple Cider Vinegar, tea tree oil, and benzoyl peroxide)
-super cheap
-completely natural

Cons:

-i suppose it stings a little bit for all of 2 seconds

This stuff is a miracle. I've had super persistent mild acne for ten years now!! I've used Baking Soda masks -- but these dry out my skin too much, Apple Cider Vinegar -- it made me break out horribly!, tea tree oil -- gave me the worst break out of my life; it was so bad I didn't want to leave the house, benzoyl peroxide -- I used it a la "the regimen" for about 6 months. My skin did not change at all, except to become more sensitive. Finally, this summer, I decided to try this: I wash my face gently with either Cetaphil antibacterial soap or St. Ive's scrub and follow up with some fresh lemon squeezed onto a WET cotton ball (I'm too lazy to actually dilute the lemon juice). I've been doing this for a week and my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. It's astounding. I'm absolutely thrilled. Just remember to be gentle -- you MUST dilute the lemon juice. Try mixing 1 tbsp of fresh squeezed lemon with anywhere from 4-8 tbsp of water, depending on your skin sensitivity. But believe me, for persistent whiteheads, lemon juice is a miracle!

Pros:

Cheap
Easy
Natural
Effective
Prevents Acne
Fades Scars
Smells Great!

Cons:

Burns a little sometimes, but it goes away

Why didn't I try lemon juice earlier?? I'm a 23 year old female who has suffered from acne since I was 12. I've tried BP, SA, tea tree, antibiotics, finacea, differin, birth control, Nucelle, Mychelle Dermaceuticals, and the list goes on. My body is very sensitive. One day at the supermarket I saw the lemons and decided, "It's only a dollar. Why not try it?" After i wash my face with Kiss My Face olive oil bar soap, I slice the lemon, squeeze juice out, and soak it up into a cotton ball. Then I apply it to all my acne prone areas and hyper pigmentation/scars (I do not rinse). I then use Yes to Tomatoes facial moisturizer. In the morning I wash and moisturize. My skin has been clearer than it has in a looooong time. I hope it works long term. I just wish I had tried it sooner!!!

Pros:

I have been using this for four months now. I have very sensitive skin so I have only been applying it once a week for 15 mins then rinsing like 20 times. I rinse for a long time to get rid of residue that causes dry skin. If you guys are looking for a remedy for acne PITS this is it!!! My acne pits are not gone, but they are no longer pits. I am very confident that if I continue to use this and keep up the sun exposure, my pits will be gone by the end of the summer. It cleared up my acne!!

Cons:

DO NOT LEAVE THIS ON IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN. I think a lot of people who had bad reactions with this left it on for too long or left it on over night. Lemon juice is an alpha acid that will EAT your skin. Rinse this off very well (like twenty times) and you will not get dry skin or a breakout from irritation.

I have also been drinking lemon juice every morning along with putting it on my face. Look up drinking lemon juice on here and my post is the one with the long bottom point and a really good review. I really want you guys to read it because I am so glad I have found a cure for my acne INSIDE and OUT. I don't want anyone to have to go through this stuff! Oh yeah, I put the price as $3.50, meaning a whole bag of lemons. So incredibly cheap!!!

Pros:

-super cheap
-it totally clear out my face
-all organic,so no worries that everything is just temporary
-i dont have to wear any other cleanser
-left my face with radiant glow
-i have different people calling my skin 'beautiful' and asking me what doctor did i went to (just to point out how ugly my skin was before i started using this)
-if you have a fresh acne, you'll see the difference like 15 minutes after applying it.
-can wear as often as you want, with noticeable res

Cons:

-it takes like 3 month for my face to clear out of acne scars. but it was worth it.
--hurts like hell on a fresh, ripe acne
-needed to be applied consistently for cases like mine

For my face to be clear of acne scars (and acne, for that matter) like i have right now, i had to dump all my cleansers (from high-end to drugstore, and of japanese-korean variant) and focused on wearing the lemon juice (and make-up remover) alone on my face. I have hormonal acne,so accutane wont cure that (besides,i dont need the extra calory they come with). Im starting to have this extreme breakouts (puss-filled that left my face looking swollen and blotchy) when im hitting 20. I thought acne is supposed to stop when you've come to such age,but for me,it's getting worse. I even hit a period when i have this friends withdrawal because i know i look pathetic with countless acne scars (and fresh acne) on my face. Accutane wont work, and other trusted names were only worth using for 1 month, after that my face will revert to its old state (and worse). So i decided to ditch all the chemicals and to use fresh lemon juice as my mask and cleanser to see how it goes. It works, and i've been using it for 6 months straight right now. I still have heavy breakouts every now and then, but it's barely noticeable, because the lemon juice seems to put a stop to it. Just be sure to put it as soon as you noticed there's a lurker, and wear some fresh pulp on the spot and let it dry like a mask. I have gone 5 days without using any lemon on my face, and boy,i regrets it. Like i said,it's hormonal problem - something i cant help but to deal with it,that's why now i never go through a day without the juice. 2 days tops.

Pros:

Prevents acne, lightens scars, reduces oil on face and kills off bacteria.

Cons:

A little weird putting lemon juice on your face?

Since I was about 13 I started getting acne, it was horrible. I it got to the point where I wouldn't turn on the lights in the bathroom so I didn't have to look at myself. I had suicidal thoughts all the time and was afraid of people looking at my face. At the start of this year, 2011, I was looking on the Internet for cures and stuff. I came across this site and thought it may work. It's now mid October of this year and I'm so happy, most of the time I have clear skin though I do break out sometimes, it's only one or two pimples that the lemon juice kills anyway. It doesn't seem real.. Though it is and I'm so glad I saw this site. I thank god for lemons haha. This is what I do ; Wake up in the morning and splash my face with warm water about twice then once with cold. I go to school and enjoy my day now then arrive home at about 4 when I wash my face again. I only use water, it's enough to unblock my pores from the oil without drying it. Then on a cold I would splash my face every 3 and a half hours. On a hot day every 3 hours. It's not good to keep to oil just sitting there clogging. Around 10.30 I Have a shower then straight away apply lemon juice with a cotton ball to my whole face. It can sting at times but it's nothing to worry about. This is the weird bit, I don't wake up with new pimples at all it's so weird. There's hardly any oil on my face and it's so good! I repeat the process for almost a year now and it's amazing. Of you're reading this right now and feel hopeless, try it out.. It may work for you but an attempt is worth it. I'm writting this with no regrets in life except for not doing this sooner.

Pros:

An amazing acne cleanser. It also reduces and lightens acne scars, severe or not. Works very fast.

Cons:

It itches and stings for about a minute or two. But totally worth it.

I recommend lemons for any women or men out there who are suffering from acne/pimples/zits or acne scars. This stuff is a miracle and does wonders for your face. I started having acne in the beginning of my freshman year. It was one of my biggest insecurities. I always let people keep their distance from me and never let people stare at my face. It was just too humiliating. I didn't date or have any relationships because of this and it just irritates me to have bumps and holes all over your face. Whenever a guy asks me out I would reject him right away and I would always feel bad about it since they look so sad. I looked up online for any treatments or products and I have tried EVERYTHING. None seems to work or just makes my face break out even more. I'm a senior this year and my beloved grandparents came to visit for my graduation next summer. My grandma was asking me if I had a boyfriend or if I was planning to get married and I told her I've never had a relationship in high school. She was really surprised and I told her about my acne problem. Since she was wise and had beautiful skin she told me the secret about lemons. I started right away and I was so amazed at the results. In three days half of my acne and scars have either reduced or vanished. I was so thankful to my grandma. It was one of the most happiest moments of my life and I never knew I would come to love my skin. And they costs from $0.75 - 3.00. Very cheap. Before you start, wash your face with cleanser first. Cut apart a lemon and squeeze the juice out and into a small container. Dip a cotton in the juice (and put a little water in to dilute the lemon juice if you have sensitive skin) and dab it onto your face on the area that have acne and scars. Leave it on for about 10-15 minutes and rinse it off with luke warm water. Do this two times a day and you'll see the results. Love it.

Amazing
I bought lemon juice from the store and put some on toilet paper and put it all over my face and I put a lot and I left it on over night and when I woke up the next morning I noticed a change in my facial appearance it was so much better my pimples had become less big and less red and my black heads were fading and my skin had a shine to it and wasn't oily after using for a week straight I have improved my skins appearance greatly so I would definitely recommend using lemon juice to get rid of acne also make sure you use a good amount for each area of your face thanks for reading and I hope it works for you.☺️

Miracle Cure.

Pros:

Got rid of my acne completly!
Redness began fading within days!
Cheap!

I have been on Accutane which cleared me completely, but then after they came back I tried everything (like before) to no avail. Although, during the summer, 2 weeks before sixth form, with a face full of red acne, I started to use lemon as often as I could (usually all day - apart from if I was going out). 2 weeks later, when I went back to school I was acne free. I still use it now and completely love it! I also drink water and lemon as often as I can. Also, if you buy a lemon and only use a slice a day, it'll last ages! Try it, but give it a little time!
