Pros:

-Clears up acne
-Tones
-Smells nice compared to other natural remedies.
-Easy to make and use
-Cheap!

Cons:

-Itches!!
-It burns like crazy
-A lil sticky

I used this last night and I am very satisfied with my results. I found that limes work just as well as lemons but limes have less acid. Which can be a good thing if you dont want your face to sting too much. Right now Im trying some freshly squeezed lemon juice with some olive oil. I put it on my face and it does not itch at all, and the burning isnt very bothersome. I have tried so many natural remedies including urine therapy... Which I stopped using after I found this. My skin is getting VERY clear after this regimen: *Night* -Cleanse with clean and clear 3 in 1 foaming face wash and Clean and clear advantage clenaser (10% BP) -Scrub cleanser on with an eletric toothbrush (Try an eletric toothbrush for your skin it does wonders) -Put on lemon and olive oil mixture *Morning* -Cleanse with Clean and clear 3 in 1 foaming face wash and clean and clear morning burst. -Leave lemon juice on for 15 mins then wash off -Moisturize with clean and clear morning glow. (As you can see I love Clean and Clear products :P) Try this!!! You dont have to spend tons of money on a bunch of chemical products that dont even work!!

Okay, so I first heard about using lemon juice on your skin last summer when i had an ugly tan line i wanted to try to even out. When researching more about it I found that it could help with acne and acne scarring too. So i started using it for a few months and my skin tone was completely even and soo smoothh.. I stopped using it for a few months and just recently started to again because after using proactiv for a couple months my face has A LOT of scarring and dark spots from the BP. So this is what I do: In the morning i wash my face with Clean & Clean Advantage Blackhead Eraser Scrub then i cut maybe a third of a lemon and squeeze it directly onto a cotton round and rub it onto my face, i leave the lemon on my face for about 10-15 minutes and then i wash it off, pat dry, and apply my clean and clear moisturizer. At night i wash my face like in the morning and thenn i apply the lemon and just keep it on my face all night. When i wake up my face feels smooth and soft! I would definitely recommend lemon juice. Its ridiculously cheap and it works great to get rid of acne bacteria and fade acne scars. My face is completely clear of acne and my scarring and dark spots are slowly disappearing.

"we all have different skin types"
so i started getting acne when i had my first period so around 11 and half years old, i tried: Proactiv ,St ives ,charcoal ,Clearasli ,Neutroena and mutiple diy natural masks and nothing seem to give me the effect i wanted. Now i am 13 and currently in highschool. The things that really made a difference was Crystaderm and of course lemon juice , Both of these made a great impact on me and although i've only been using lemon juice for a couple of weeks i definitely see a difference with how my acne magically disapeared. One downside of both treatments is the short painful sting you can get if its an open wound but it just shows that when the sting stops the germs may have been cleaned out.

Pros:

Refreshing
Smells good
Fades scars
Doesn't dry out skin

Cons:

So far none...

For the last year I have been battling with moderate to severe acne. It honestly got to the point to where I was not wanting to leave the house. What 24 year old wants to go out with pimples and disgusting scars on your face? I tried lots of things over the counter: Bio-Oil Vitamin E Almond Oil and various face washes About 3 months ago I finally got the breakouts under control! I still have a few breakouts each month but its a lot better than having a face full. I started using lemon juice about a week ago. I read about it many times but I was afraid to use it because I tend to itch when I eat fruit so I was afraid it would irritate my skin. Luckily, it has worked wonders so far and I am loving the way my skin feels! So I thought I would share my regimen with you! I do this twice a day. I was my face, I have been using just a simple face wash by Garnier After I rinse my face I place a warm wash cloth on my face to open my pores a bit. While my face is air drying I grab the lemons that i have pre-sliced in the fridge. (You don't have to do this but it speeds up the process and I love the coolness on my skin) I then take the lemon slices and rub it directly on my skin, I prefer going in a circular motion. I leave it on for about 15 minutes I then rinse it off- I prefer using cold water to do this close my pores and seal in the goodies! While my skin is still a little damp I dab on a bit of almond oil. I just love how it makes my skin feel! That's all there is to it, so far I have seen the scars lighten a bit. I've had some of the scars for a while so am not rushing the fading process! I also drink only water and I even add lemon to that! Plus I take vitamins everyday that help with my skin. However, I am a lot more confident and I barely wear make up now.

Pros:

lemon juice is a miracle cure. it works fast, and it keeps working. it cleared up my persistent, severe cystic acne within a week and i have stayed clear on it for a year now. NOTHING else has worked this well or this consistently.

Cons:

it stings quite a bit, especially the first few days. oh well. you'll get over it when you find you have the clearest skin you've had since pre-puberty!

buy some fresh lemons. cut one in half, squeeze the juice from one half onto a cotton ball and throw the rest away, or eat it, whatever. put the other half in a ziplock bag in the fridge for tomorrow. rub the juice all over your face before bed and leave it there, even though it will burn!! the next morning, wash with johnson's head to toe baby wash. repeat every day. that's it. only those 2, simple, cheap products, and i'm clearer than any acne product, otc or prescription, ever made me. do not try to add in any other acne products. they will just make you dry and flaky and not improve anything. the lemon juice is all you need! you can start out just doing it every other day or every third day, but once your skin is used to it, be sure to be consistent and do it every day! if your skin gets irritated or dry at first, try some aveeno baby lotion, aloe vera gel, or a little bit of cortisone cream on top of the lemon juice.

Been using it off and on again throughout the months
Worked great just have to stop being lazy and put it on my skin. I have light African American skin, it works perfectly for me it cleans my skin and when it's on it makes me feel so refresh, I take it off after 30 min (I used to wear it all night but it's pretty uncomfortable.) I had a zit on my face just this week I mixed the lemons and milk put inside the microwave (just like 5 to 10 seconds make it warm.) Kept it on for 30 min washed it and that zit washed right off (I know gross right lol.) but it's gone completely clear it's amazing what a little lemon and milk can do. It worked for me but reading some of these comments it seems not to work for everyone maybe they didn't use it long enough. I don't have much breakout to begin with though just a few dark marks that aren't too noticeable just mainly doing this to lighten my skin a bit. I also put coco butter on my face afterwards feels great really does.

Pros:

Fades acne marks
Kills bacteria on the surface of your skin

Cons:

Burns

I've been using this for almost a month now.. Pure fresh lemon juice and it has worked wonders for me. For the first week, The burning was almost unbearable but after about two weeks, The burning isn't half as bad and ive definitely noticed that my acne marks are fading.. and quickly. Now im about at a month and I don't feel any burn at all and use it on my face twice a day. It hasn't dried out my skin or irritated it. I'd recommend this to anyone. You just have to deal with the stinging for the first two weeks. It's worth it in the end though. How quickly my marks faded.. it amazed me. They are almost completely gone. My skin was pretty bad, I only broke out on my cheeks and this has helped a lot with preventing marks and drying out my breakouts. They would be gone within 3 or 4 days.

Pros:

IT WORKS & ITS CHEAP!!!
seriously your skin feels brighter and tighter and really clean.

Cons:

it can sting a little.
have to give it minute to work its magic.

try it. its like $0.38 so its not as though your wasting your money!!! I do my normal routine wash my face with a cleanser then cut a small piece of a fresh lemon and squeeze a little on a cotton ball and gently rub it on my face. I usually let it stay on my face for 5-10 minutes. its gonna feel a little sticky, but once you rinse it off with cool water all you end up feeling is refreshed. Its important to put a moisturizer on afterward. im someone who has sensitive skin and is allergic to a lot, but the lemon did nothing but help me.

Pros:

Brightens Complexion
Reduces Redness
Reduces Acne and Bumps
Feels Good
Natural!!!!!!!

Cons:

Itches at first

Try this!!!!!! I was skeptical but my dad urged me to try it before I visited the Dr. who would most likely prescribe antibiotics or some dreadful chemicals. It itched sooooo much the first time i tried it and i was desperate to wash it off but i kept going and now i hardly notice the itchiness. Just cut a thin slice of lemon and rub it onto your face and leave it on for around 10 minutes and you'll notice the difference to your skin in days. I feel so much more confident now and don't feel the need to cake my face with makeup!
