Pros:

Acne is reduced significantly
Prevents future breakouts b/c of its acidic
helps exfoliates
inexpensive

Cons:

stings ALOT

My skin was at its worse and my self esteem was plunging with it. I tried to avoid looking in the mirror at all times b/c it was a constant reminder of acne on my face. I always felt that people were looking at my acne and not at me when i was talking to them. I was desperate to find ways of reducing and hopefully finally stopping the acne from appearing on my face. I read online about lemons that helps reduce acne and the scarring that follows with it. Although, I also read that drinking water with some lemon juice is good for acne and helps kick up your metabolism in the morning haha. I just used it topically and I have to say it really does the trick, but like it said it WILL sting while u leave it to sit on your face. It just takes a few weeks for it to stop stinging. My face was slowly getting better, but the scars from previous acne breakouts were still there. I like to call them battle scars since it sounds cooler LOL anyways. Lemons also help your skin to exfoliate from what i read so as i kept using it every night. My scars were slowly going away too. I know that this description is pretty long and it isnt enough to justify how well lemons do the trick since i avoided taking pictures also.... So please give lemons a try and see if it does anything for your acne! :D

i found this little remedy for my acne on yahoo answers, someone referenced me [link removed] with a bunch of resourceful information on that site using lemon juice for acne. have been trying for the past week and seeing results. i read a lot about it before trying it because i wanted to make sure it wont encourage more problems since i have light acne. so far so good.

Pros:

work very well
fades ance scars
prevents new breakouts

Cons:

stings a bit

Before I go to bed every night i cut open a fresh lemon and juice it, then wash my face, apply the lemon juice, and wait 30 minutes to wash. I also drink the remaining lemon juice and use Dan regimen. it works very well, however right now i unfortunately have a big, red pimple on my cheek. i have very minor break outs now and before i would get a new breakout practially every night. definitely try it!

Pros:

Fades acne marks
Kills bacteria on the surface of your skin

Cons:

Burns

I've been using this for almost a month now.. Pure fresh lemon juice and it has worked wonders for me. For the first week, The burning was almost unbearable but after about two weeks, The burning isn't half as bad and ive definitely noticed that my acne marks are fading.. and quickly. Now im about at a month and I don't feel any burn at all and use it on my face twice a day. It hasn't dried out my skin or irritated it. I'd recommend this to anyone. You just have to deal with the stinging for the first two weeks. It's worth it in the end though. How quickly my marks faded.. it amazed me. They are almost completely gone. My skin was pretty bad, I only broke out on my cheeks and this has helped a lot with preventing marks and drying out my breakouts. They would be gone within 3 or 4 days.

Pros:

Redness fades
Pimples smaller
Feels like its working
Smells nice
Easy and cheap
Fast working

Cons:

A tad itchy, but easy to deal with
Slicing can result in finger injuries

I just tried it for the first time and redness on my arms had decreased. I haven't looked at my face yet but it feels cleaner. Definitely an easy option, especially for those that have to get rid of acne fast or have arm/back acne issues. As a teenager here, my mom isn't crazy about buying me face products, and I don't like using what I have on my arms or back. But she didn't mind buying me a few lemons. I'm trying to be able to look good in something sleeveless for a dance, but I'm scared of my arms and back. And yes, I managed to cut my finger on the knife while slicing.

Pros:

-Cheap
-Effective
-Nice smell

Cons:

-Bleaching effect on clothes

I have only been using lemon on my body acne for a few days, but already in less than a week I can definitely see a change. I have had a small patch of a half dozen red bumps on my middle chest for years now, and after applying lemon juice from fresh lemons, once in the morning and once before bed, the redness has reduced a lot, and the bumps have gotten much smaller. The same can be said for my annoying shoulder acne. It's been a problem for many years, and just after this short time, a lot of it has started clearing, or at least reduced in size and redness. I would imagine with further use, it will only get better. I have also used it on my face with pretty good results, but my face is mostly clear from the regimen, so it's not really needed. When used on my face, I still use the regimen, and still use a lot of AHA for moisturizing. When used on the body, I use no moisturizer and it seems to still do fine without making my skill flaky. I'm guessing the natural citrus oils might help with that. Overall, it's for sure worth a try to others with moderate acne. I gave it a 5/5 simply because it's such a cheap product, and if they don't get used for this, you can make lemonade.
