Pros:

Smooth/Soft Skin
Glowing Skin
Heals Blemishes
Lightens Scars (slowly)
*Use with Honey

Cons:

Makes a mess in the bathroom
Must use consistently (EVERY NIGHT) to see results

Cut the lemon, add a drop of honey, and rub it directly on your clean face in a circular motion. Leave on as long as possible. Honey helps lessen the stinging, and I think it works better this way. I have severe cystic acne, and this has taken the "topical" stuff away. This was the only treatment my skin had responded well to since antibiotics (which I refused to keep taking). I was still getting some cysts, but my skin had not felt this smooth in seven years. I won't say it's a cure, but I have been on "The Whole 30" for 13 days now, which seems to be curing the cystic stuff. I've found changing my diet to be the best choice I've made in curing my acne. I will continue to use this mask and hope it lightens the scars, which are now my biggest problem. (It has lightened them some, but it's a slow process). My routine, if you're curious: -Eat a Whole 30 diet -Wash my face gently with warm water, a wash cloth, and organic soap nightly(something natural with the fewest ingredients possible) -lemon&honey mask nightly -moisturize with pure aloe vera (from the plant) daily

Pros:

-Cheap
-Brightens skin
-Leaves face feeling soft
-Easy to use

Cons:

None!

Yes, it will sting. But who doesn't love the satisfaction of knowing that stinging is killing all that bacteria and making your skin better?? I've only been using it for 2 days but it has rocked my world!! Large pimples were dried up and tightened the night after I first started. It makes me start the day feeling clean. Just remember to use a moisturizer after, especially if you'll be getting some sun.

Pros:

Works quickly to lighten and brighten your skin, and help fade the spots! You will notice results within two short weeks.

Cons:

NONE!

Make sure that you are consistent and use it every night and if you can use it every day as well. The more it is used the quicker you will see results! And you do not have to rinse it off your face, you can simply wear it under your moisturizer and also under your makeup if you are a girl that is.

Pros:

-clears up existing and forming acne
-reduced redness after first application
-looks like it's helping heal scars faster too

Cons:

-dries sticky so I wash it off before going out

I've been applying lemon juice on the most acne-prone spots on my face for the past 3 weeks and it has made a world of difference! This has worked better than every other acne medication I've tried (except Accutane, which eventually cleared up my entire face, but then my acne came back 3 years later). Since I don't want to deal with the side effects of Accutane again, I've been trying everything and am so happy I decided to try this. My face isn't 100% clear (although it keeps getting better, so maybe it will be eventually) but is much, much better than it was before I started using lemon juice. I usually apply it in the morning after washing my face, leave it on for about an hour, then rinse it off and apply moisturizer. I'm very happy with the results so far.

Pros:

Visibly reduced acne with each use
smaller pores
evened skin tone
reduced blackheads

Cons:

Burns like crazy!
Takes time

This is a very cheap and very effective way to help eliminate acne. I usually slice the lemon and rub it on my face for 30 minutes before rinsing it off and applying a moisturizer. This is less irritating for me than apple cider vinegar, but burns much more. If you can put up with the burn it will help a lot. It burns less with subsequent use if you use it regularly. I do not use it as much as I should only because I do not always have time to let it sit on my face for 30 minutes, seeing as I work and go to school full time.

Pros:

Whitening skin
smaller pores
gives glow

Cons:

stings a bit

I'm 23 years old girl, I'm asian and have white skin I've started retin-a about 9 months ago, and after 6 months, i cleared up my dace. But the thing with retin-a is it does not give my face the glow that i really want. so i decided to try lemon juice. Here's my routine, after shower, i usually put aloe vera gel ( fresh from plants) and let it dry, and then i put the mixture of lemon juice with aloe vera gel (again just a little bit) as a toner. Lately i've been drinking lemon juice in the morning Lemon juice overall gives whitening effext to my skin, and my skin has this nice glow. I eally like lemon juice, because it's natural and cheap, and has the same effect as whitening cosmetics, if not more effective. I recomend try using lemon juice, topically and as a drink, (drinking it will gave you glow and stamina boost), there's no harm in trying anyway

Pros:

Cheap and easy remedy

Cons:

Sticky on skin if left overnight
Stings a little

Hey All, I felt the need to share my acne story with everyone and the remedies I used. I am Asian, of Indian descent, brown skin. 27yrs old. I was on accutane from May 2011 to March 2012 (20mg/day, 10 months) for facial and body acne (whole back, butt & thighs), but my face was relatively ok, though it did have scarring. I stopped Accutane completely mid April. Come June, I started noticing little pimple like bumps. They werent filled with pus or anything, just bumps especially on my forehead line. So.. these are the home made remedies I have been using since June, and it has definitely helped get rid of the scarring and acne marks, any recurring acne and has kept my skin smooth. Main ingredients: 1) Lemon juice from- Half a lemon 2) Tumeric powder - half table spoon 3) Aloe Vera gel (I have aloe plants at home and normally cut them out and squeeze out only the gel and not the pulp. Time consuming but I dont mind) I alternate between: 1) just mixing the ingredients above and applying it on my skin 2) mixing the main ingredients with sugar for a smoothing body scrub 3) Honey 4) Yogurt (cuts down the staining of tumeric) Results: -smoother, lighter skin, noticed that my tan lines have reduced -pinker lips (i apply whatever i do above on my lips too) - acne scars have reduced and not so visible - keeps any recurring acne at bay. -skin has a more healthier glow. Because I am brown, the lightening has given my skin sort of a honey glow. Bottom line: I decided to go for home made remedies as a post accutane treatment. You have to do it continuously for good results, though you would immediately notice smoothness of skin and your face a little lighter. I do the above at least 3 to 4 times a week. I love the fact that all the stuff I use is cheap and can be found in my kitchen and I don't have to worry so much about side effects on my skin. I ap
