Pros:

Excellent for exfoliating.
Skin looks radiant afterwards!
Smells nice.
Reduces skin inflammation and reduces appearance of post-acne marks.

Cons:

Didn't heal my existing acne or prevent breakouts.
Burns your fingers a little bit.

I enjoyed using lemon juice because it's natural and it smells great, and I noticed my skin seemed softer and less irritated. It didn't get rid of my pimples, but the skin around the pimples looked radiant! lol I say give it a try and see what happens. Just squeeze juice from half a lemon, and dilute it with a tiny bit of water. Dip a cotton ball or pad into is and gently wipe your skin. I had to rinse it off my hands because it was stinging, but surprisingly it didn't sting or burn my face or shoulders (I have extremely sensitive skin, so I was worried about it burning).

Pros:

helps clear acne
helps fade marks

Cons:

stings like crazy, even when dilluted with water
Doesn't clear everything
gave me a rash

I had high hopes for this due to the reviews. I used it for about a week, and it was really starting to help clear my acne. However, I noticed that the skin on my chin had become extremely discolored and blotchy. I guess I'm just sensitive to citrus or something. It might work for you, so try it anyway.

Pros:

Reduced red-ness
Doesn't dry out skin
Makes skin feel soft

Cons:

Smelly strongly of, well, lemons
Doesn't actually clean up acne, just reduces the appearance
STINGS LIKE HELL if you don't dilute or use a lot.

I used fresh lemon juice from organic lemons on my skin a few times every night before starting the regimen, and it reduced the redness of my acne but didn't actually cure it/get rid of it, if you apply a lot of it without diluting it, it stings like HELL! Sometimes I got away without diluting it but using less of it. I juiced half a lemon into a bowl and used cotton pads to apply, dabbing it over my skin, I wouldn't really recommend this other other things although it's worth a try if your not interested in doing the regimen.

Pros:

reduces redness
leaves skin feeling soft
makes your face glow
inexpensive

Cons:

burns for a little while
can dry out sensitive skin

I can't afford expensive creams and whiteners, so I thought I'd give this a try. I squeezed a lemon into a container, kept it in the fridge, and applied at night with a cotton ball. Within a few days, I noticed that my scars were lighter. I'm not sure if I used it long enough or if I did something wrong, but this technique seemed to stop working after awhile. Nonetheless, I will keep trying it. It's definitely worth a shot. Just remember to use a moisturizer while doing this!

Pros:

gets rid of hyperpigmentation
drys up spots
refreshes skin tone
(if used regularly)

Cons:

doesn't prevent future acne

i had a major breakout just before i went on holiday for six weeks. whilst i was away i used lemon all over my face day and night for like 4-6 weeks. most definately it helped to speed up the process of getting rid of those spots, the redness and the god awful hyperpigmentation that followed. but in no way did it stop new spots from forming, nor did it get rid of those pesky under the skin flesh coloured bumps i have which seem to be the bain of my existence....

Pros:

- reduced some pimples size
- smells good
- natural
- leaves skin feeling fresh
- cheap
-tastes good

Cons:

-stings (not that bad though)
-areas that had a lot of acne became worse
- dries parts of your skin

it worked for part of my face and made others worse.I recommend trying it for a few days and seeing where it helps. I now use it on areas that have 1 or 2 pimples but not all over my face... bottom line is i found it works for light acne but nothing more... hope it helps :)

Pros:

Clears the hell out of black heads
Fades dark spots, and scars
Makes face super soft
Leaves skin glowing
Clears up mild acne
Clears redness

Cons:

Burns and itched my skin (you get used to it)

When I woke up after leaving it on my face all night, I noticed a difference immediately. My face was very soft, the redness was gone, and some of my acne was drying out. On the other hand I have mixed acne, white heads, blackheads, cysts, the list goes on. I have been using it for about a month now and it has made my skin look fresh, but has not done much for the more severe acne on the sides of my face. I cut the lemons into fours and put them in a container in the fridge, I rub a slice all over my face after I cleanse my skin. I leave it on all night, but wash it off in the am after 5-10 minutes. Does not dry skin, but hydrates it.

Pros:

Cheap, lightened scars, full-of-hope

Cons:

Burns (obviously), caused some serious breakouts

So, I was completely hopeful when trying this highly rated "product." I used it for a little over a month. After reading many of the reviews, I expected it to sting, so when it did just that, I wasn't surprised. It stung all over, but especially along my jawline (I had never broken out there before). There are some definite pros to using lemon juice, however I was still breaking out, in fact, I was breaking out like crazy along my jawline. I have since stopped using lemon juice and have switched to Dan's products. My face is pretty clear, but the jawline aftereffects are still there (they are weird ones too... they line up and form patterns, basically little jerks). My best guess is that my jawline breakout is due to the lemon juice... too strong of a product for such a sensitive area. Who knows though.

Pros:

reduces the size of pimples

Cons:

stings a lot
can be very harsh

I decided to try lemon as my first attempt at a natural remedy, and found it to be very harsh. I woke up and the pimples were much better, but my skin began to flake even though I diluted the lemon and moisturized after. For me, I found a mask of baking soda and lemon to be a better combination for my skin (which is oily and prone to white heads). After reading a lot of reviews on here, I was actually afraid to try it but I'm so glad I did! I have periods where my acne can get really bad and this cleared it right up. I've been using a mask for about a week now and I am very happy with the results. I put olive oil on my scars to soften them for about 5 minutes. Then, I take a wet wash cloth and heat it up as hot as I can stand it (for me, about 45 secs in the microwave) and put it on my face until it becomes cool to open my pores. I like to put baking soda in a small bowl, add a few drops of fresh lemon juice (note, if your skin is very sensitive you may want to forego the lemon) and then add water until it's a little softer than a toothpaste consistency. I put it on my face for a minimum of 10 minutes and then wash it off. The hardened baking soda exfoliates your skin as you wash it off. Make sure you moisturize a lot afterwards and that's it. Note: when the mask hardens it can begin to flake so be aware of your facial expressions! Worked much better for me.
