Pros:

It really works!

Cons:

It is sticky on the face. Stings. You need to use sunblock/moisturizer.

It really works. Actually, acne is very hard to treat. I have used a lot of topical medicines like proactiv, tretinoin, clindamycin, even feminine wash but to no avail. Sometimes these medicines work but after a few weeks, acne starts to go back. So its really is frustrating. I tried ACV but somehow its not consistent so I tried to use lemons on my face. Although it stings specially after you shave, it is very easy to use and is available at a local market/grocery. It is very consistent, although I do get a few pimples now and then but really I love this fruit. It also improved my skin tone and my friends do recognize the difference. I just wash my face with water then topically apply the lemons and rinse after an hour. Sometimes I just leave it on my face until morning. I recommend this. There are no quick remedies, you just have to stick with something that works and voila you'll have a clear skin you've been dreaming of!

Pros:

Lightens Dark Spots/scars
minimizes acne
kills bacteria
inexpensive

Cons:

Stings
dries out skin (so use with moisturizer)

It's cheap, and it works! I just cut a lemon in half and squeeze/rub it on my face. Sounds nuts, but it gets the job done. I leave it on for a while (at least until dry) and wash it off with Oxy face wash. I'd recommend using a face moisturizer if you have dry skin already, but for me I have super oily skin so it's not needed. I've also read where you can use a mixture of it and water as well. I used to get complemented on how beautiful my skin was, because of this, even though I thought I'd never have pretty skin since I've been suffering from acne since I was thirteen. I've tried almost everything. If anything its worth a try! Its a common kitchen item.

Pros:

kills acne
leaves skin soft
fades scares

Cons:

can't keep on face!!!

This stuff is great, but there is one major problem. You have to wash it off! I kept it on my face over night and all my acne was shrinking and dying. Then when I tried to reapply it it stung like hell. You can't keep this stuff on your face, and if you can't keep it on your face then you have to wash it off. If you have to wash it off you WILL get acne. If you can somehow manage to keep it on your face all the time you will never have acne :)

Pros:

100% natural, simple, fast, inexpensive and effective!

Cons:

Burning and stinging sensation. A lot.

I have been trying this treatment for about three days and it really does work! I used to have this huge pimple on my cheek and a few hours after I applied lemon juice on it, the redness and swelling went down considerably! I still have the blemish on my face but the juice really speeds up the healing process. I have a lot of blackheads near my chin and on my cheeks and I can already feel them going away. As for the scars, I haven't seen a huge improvement as others claimed. But it's only been a few days so I'm not going to give up just yet! To balance out the dryness, I use Vitamin E oil. I have really oily skin and applying the oil topically actually made my skin break out so I decided to take them orally instead. Vitamin E can actually help with your scars so that's the other main reason why I'm using it. Another thing- lemon juice is extremely acidic so it WILL sensitize your skin. Don't forget to wear sunscreen! I hope this helps :D

Lemon Juice

Pros:

clears acne
reduces scars

Cons:

stings a bit when put on

This product (in combination with drinking lemon juice) has really helped with my acne. I know that it does not work for everyone but if you are like me (a teenager who had acne that was first very light just on the forehead and then increased in severity over time) then definitely give this a go. I apply the lemon juice straight to the affected areas at night and leave it on over night and i ask drink a cup of water with about a tablespoon of lemon juice in it. If you have sensitive skin maybe dilute the lemon juice you put on your face or do not leave it on for so long. Hope this helped

Pros:

Smells nice
Easy
Cheap

Cons:

Stings a little
Sticky on face

I've only been usuing lemon juice for 2 days and there has been an improvment on my face, th spots arent as red. and my skin is smooth.. i have sensitive skin and it hasnt irratated it yet, (not saying it wont for anyone else with sensitive skin).. I leave it on over night & all fay if i am not going out and re-apply throughout the day.. it smells good and does work, I reccomend people to give it a go! Although dont put it on open popped spots as that would probably sting unbelivably .. and if you become irritated wash off immediately, could make skin worse.. or mix with some sugar to create a sugar scrub exfoliator, natural remedys are the best!

Pros:

-When a unexpected pimple pops up, i just apply a bit of lemon juice to that area and by the time i wake up the next morning, the redness is gone and the pimple is tiny (allowing me to cover it up with mineral makeup)
- Perfect if you wake up with a pimple day before big event

Cons:

- Did not do much for the scarring or exsisting redness on my face
- Can sting a little for about 2 minutes after application
- Drys out Skin (Just need a decent moisturiser to apply after)

Gets rid of new pimples as soon as they arrive, like a spot cream or treatment only its natural and cheap. I've used a whole bunch of well known brand products on my face to get rid of pimples but lemon juice is the only one that actually gets rid of the pimple in 24 hours. Not good to use on sensitive skin.

Pros:

Cheap, easy to apply & seems to work quickly!

Cons:

Not sure yet

I actually just tried this last night for the first time after coming across this site yesterday. The stinging is minimal, and only where I had a couple "raw" spots from recent blemishes. My biggest reason for trying this was 2 DEEP blemishes that were very big and painful. I had the lemon "mask" on for about 15-20 minutes, then cleansed, toned & moisturized before bed. When I woke up this morning those 2 blemishes are incredibly diminished! I'm blown away & will be putting this into my routine skin care to see how it will improve my skin in the long run!

Pros:

Tightens the skin
Makes skin look brighter
Pores look cleaner
Acne seems to be drying

Cons:

Stings a lot

I have just tried this treatment a few times but every time I try it my face instantly looks brighter. It stings a lot so I haven't mustered the courage to use it on a regular basis but I will try to use it twice a week and post back with details.
