Pros:

Radiant skin
Smoother skin
Shortens healing time of scabs/areas picked
clears blackheads

Cons:

Stings a little bit at first

Lemon juice is amazing! I really can't believe I haven't tried it sooner. I've had minimal breakouts since high school. Senior year of college, I started breaking out horribly. I ended up trying a lot of stuff that got my acne under control (from peels to accutane). After accutane, I still have breakouts here and there (doesn't help that I pick...), but since trying the lemon juice, I've noticed my skin is looking more radiant and smoother. I put it on before applying lotion at night.

Pros:

- Clears acne
- Cheap
- Clears scars
- Cheap

Cons:

- Don't go out in the sun with it on
- Don't go nuts with it - wean off usage after a week or so and use it only when necessary (2-3 times a week)

I have light olive complexion (my background is South Asian). Lemons do wonders for my skin because it enhances a natural glow. I've used it on and off for a number of years now whenever I need acne/scars cleared up and it does the job usually within a week or so. I only stop using it if its really sunny outside as I am paranoid about getting my skin burnt (it leaves a black spot if you leave lemon on your face and go out). However, if you simply put it on your face once a day and wash it off in the morning, you're good to go. Recommended Steps: 1) Use lemon instead of lime. 2) See how strong/resilient your skin is. Mine is quite resilient to lemon, so I leave it on over night, if not the entire day when I'm just at home. 3) Usually, I put it on whenever I know I don't have to go out and am staying home. For example, I'll put it on my face at 7 pm and wash it out before bed with just warm water (no cleanser), and then put it on before bed and leave it over night. Wash it out with cleanser in the morning. Done. Highly reccomend it, but don't go crazy with it. Contrary to popular belief, it will heal your skin if you continue its usage, though you can safely dial back after your active acne/scars clear. Once every other day is probably all you need, or 2-3 times a week. Use in moderation after you clear up, till then once a day is fine. Its really about trial and error. Either way, it works great on olive skin so anyone reading this with olive skin, give it a shot following my method. Give it a week or two and you will see guaranteed results...maybe even in 2-3 days. Just be wary of going out in the sun with the lemon on, and don't go nuts with it - apply it with a Q-Tip, and put in a decent (re: no to the point where the juice is dripping all over) amount on your face. I don't put it on my whole face because I only get pimples/scars in specific "zones" (cheeks) but the whole face should be okay too. You know your own

Pros:

-cheap
-doesn't dry out skin
-fades scars
-less oil
-kills acne
-natural!!!!

Cons:

-stings a little bit

bottom line, it works. Better then all of that store brand name crap to. No hurt in trying it, it will only cost you a dollar. Only thing annoying about it is the lady at the grocery store asking what I'm planning to do with 5 lemons.

Pros:

- Seriously works to reduce acne and scars
- Lowers oil production
- Drastically lowers chance of breakouts
- Feels clean and gives skin a natural glow
- Reduces redness and inflammation of acne.

Cons:

Itches and burns a little but nothing compared to chemical cleansers.

I had acne for so long, I tried a lot of things for it and nothing seemed to work. I came across lemon juice and it worked from the first week! My skin feels so soft, and has a glow. I now only have mild oily skin compared to the damp, thick and dirty oil I previously had before I found out about lemon juice. I've heard that it burns peoples faces and leaves redness so they stop applying it. If this happens to you, you can delude it with a little water and you should be fine. Bottom line, It seriously works even though it sounds stupid.

Pros:

-Cheap
-Easy to apply
- Easy to wash off

Cons:

-Stings quite a lot, but in about 2 or 3 minutes the pain vanishes.
- Slightly sticky

I have only used this once and it works really well. I used lemon to cure my pimples and i can see a slight improvement. Most of my pimples are all around my forehead (they are pretty much scattered everywhere) and after using this product i am starting to see that the pimples are decreasing. All the big pimples are becoming smaller and smaller! YAY! All you have to do is cut the lemon in to eighths, (i realised that all u really need is one eighth of a lemon to cover your face) squeeze ALL the juices out of it. Then apply to affected areas or you can put it all over your face if you want. Put it on before you go to bed, and leave it on over night. Then wash it off in the shower. Then in a couples of hours you will see some improvement. ABRACADBRA!

Pros:

-fades acne marks
-treats existing acne
-HELPS PREVENT REGULAR AND CYSTIC ACNE
-improves all around look and feel of skin

Cons:

-stings a bit at first

When I first started using lemon juice three weeks ago I bought the bottled kind made from concentrate, I got ok results but nothing drastic like I was expecting. A few days ago I decided to try fresh lemons instead by cutting it in half and rubbing it on my face, wow what a difference it made! My skin isn't sensitive at all so I do this twice a day. I start my day by washing with clear pore by neutrogena I immediately rub half a lemon on my face, let it sit for about an hour, then I rinse it off with cold water. In the evening I wash with clear pore and follow with the other half of the lemon and leave it on overnight. I've been doing this for 4 days and my acne is 90% gone. YAY!

-Totally cleared current acne.
Significantly reducing previous acne scarring
Face is much more even and bright
So cheap its unreal

Cons:

None

After having my baby boy 3 months ago i have bren really suffering with my skin. Ive never had totally clear skin but now i was having breakouts reguarly. After trying several things both available over the counter to no avail i made an appointment with a dermetologist. It was confirmed i was suffering with post pregnancy acne most likely due to the hormones associated with pregnancy etc. unfortunately as i am currently breastfeeding i was unable to have any treatments nor was it possible for me to use any of the acne products that would be prescribed otherwise. Anyway my appointment was just last week id just about given up hope and resigned myself to the fact that i would just have to wait it out for a few more months when i could go back and begin treatment( a chemical peel was suggested once id stopped nursing). Then i remembered that id seen somewhere that lemon juice could help with acne and scarring. I washed my face with aloe vera wash and swiped diluted fresh lemon juice over my whole face. After about five minutes i rinsed it off with luke warm water and then rubbed pure shea butter on my face thats it! It does tingle a bit but nothing that i couldnt handle. I did this every night and after the third night i woke up to find that my face looked remarkably better already, the acne seemed to have dried out and the dark marks were looking lighter too. Excited i carried on and began leaving the lemon juice on for 10/15 mins. Its been just over a week and honestly i wish i had done this sooner because my skin looks so much better than i ever expected,it has a sort of glow now and i think with more time it can only get better. I reccommend everyone try this before forking out on expensive treatments and products. The best thing about it is its totally natural so i can have nice skin and know that im causing no harm to my baby.

Pros:

Smells delish ;)
Lick your lips and it's sour! I like it
Helps with acne
Reduces red marks
Doesn't sting my face at all
Inexpensive

Cons:

Can make your skin peel, but it's nothing too serious. Just put some lotion on and you should be set.

I use 100% pure lemon juice that I bought from my local grocery store. It's super cheap and works wonderfully so far! My red marks are fading quite quickly, which is awesome! & it keeps my face soft, and smooth.

Pros:

-Smells Yummy
-Reduces acne
-Feels smooth after awhile
-Gives face a natural glow
-Healthy for skin
-Inexpensive

Cons:

-It stings(You will get use to it), but it's worth it.

Well i had light moderate acne, and some brown spots from acne picking, and i thought i should use this remedy. I got a wedge of lemon squeezed it and dipped my cotton ball into it and applied it all around my face, But its a good thing to apply more directly on your unwanted acne and scars. I don't wash it off at night, i think it works better that way for me, but i sometimes wash it off in the morning. So after i did it, i woke up in the morning and my acne has reduced by alot. The brown scars or something(i dont know wbhat theyre called) faded away dramaticlly and I was most pleased by that, cause im more irratated by those brown things than my acne, Seems like this is good, so i'm going to keep this up:) AND YES Dont think twice about doing it, you should really try it.
