Pros:

Clears scars
Prevents breakouts and treats current pimples
Softens and brightens skin
Easy to use

Cons:

Stings upon first few uses (Personally, I found my skin had developed a 'resistance' to it, and I can now apply even more)
Takes time

I have been applying store-bought pure lemon juice to my face every night after I shower for around three weeks, and I am beginning to notice the results. Method: Before starting, ensure the pores on your face are open. This is done by either having a warm shower or applying warm water to your face. Make sure you pat dry your wet face. 1. Put 10 - 20 drops of lemon juice in to a small bowl, depending on how much of the stinging sensation your skin can handle. (Your skin may be able to develop a resistance as you consistently apply lemon juice, which will allow you to use even more.) 2. Absorb the lemon juice with a cotton ball, and gently rub on ONE side of your face. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other side of your face (don't use the same cotton ball). Let it dry and leave it overnight. 4. Wash it off with cool water in the morning. While it works instantly for some people, I did have to wait a short while for my skin to finally show the results of applying lemon juice to my face. My skin is clearer, the acne scars are beginning to fade, my skin has a faint glow and feels tighter.

Pros:

reduces redness
softens skin
fades acne scars
decreases sizes of pimples/red spots

Cons:

stings a litte

I have very sensitive skin and scar terribly easily. I also stress about way too many things and sweat easily in my face and probably don't get enough sleep being a college student. All these factors adding up don't make for the most beautiful skin. I am Greek and Irish so have pretty light olive colored skin naturally when I haven't gotten any sun and so any little pimple or scar is very obvious and red and leaves me not feeling comfortable going anywhere without swiping some powder on to even out my skin tone and hide the various acne scars. I was determined to take the natural route with skincare before investing into another product and wasting my time and money. I came across this page when searching for "acne scar removal" and rushed to store last night to buy a lemon. After reading all your guys' posts about different ways to go about with the lemon I decided to try using it as a toner right before bed and let it set while I slept. A feeling of excitement and hope came over me this morning when I looked in the mirror and noticed the 3 red spots i have recently acquired from irritated pimples have decreased in size and redness significantly for only one night! And oh my did my face feel baby but smooth as I used a gentle cleanser in the shower this morning! I will give more feedback after a week or two of testing this out! Does anyone have suggestions on how often I should use the lemon toner? Is once a night before bed good or should I try more often? I don't want to dry my skin out. And thank you to everyone who posted on here! You have no idea much my confidence is going up just knowing there is a good chance this will really work with a little more time! I never have had something take over my life like my skin problems I just want to be able to go to the gym, go swimming or be running late to class and not feel like I HAVE to apply foundation in order to feel comfortable in my own skin!

I looked in the mirror and wow was I surprised. The horrible acne scars on my chin had faded and it lightened the red spots on my face OVER NIGHT! I just washed my face normally Rubbed an eighth of a lemon on my face Then rinsed it off after 5 mins Moisturized IT WORKED WONDERS Lemons are my new BFFs

Pros:

-Helps acne scars fade; I've been using this for at least 2 months now, and I definitely noticed results!
- I use lemon juice that I bought from a typical grocery store since I find that it's easier to apply rather than wasting half a lemon, though I'm not sure if the lemon is actually superior to the juice from the bottle (perhaps someone can offer some insight here?)
- You wake up in the morning with fresh looking skin! (I leave it on at night and wash it off in the morning)

Cons:

- It can get a bit sticky
- It can make your skin itchy for a min or two
- It can make your skin look red for a brief period of time after having applied it

Try this if you have post-acne marks or hyper pigmentation -- it won't hurt to try something natural! Besides, it will leave your skin glowing in the morning and very smooth :)

Pros:

*COMPLETELY CLEARED ALL BLACKHEADS WITH FIRST USE!!!!
*Tasted and smelled good
*Cheap

Cons:

*Burns a bit, but who cares

I first used the lemon juice last night before i went to bed. When I woke up, all my blackheads were gone. It didn't do much for whiteheads/pimples, but I've only used it once so far. I'll post a follow up in a week or so. If you have stubborn blackheads, USE LEMONS.

Pros:

It gets rid of acne really, really quickly, and when mixed with honey, it leaves your skin feeling soft without any pain.

Cons:

no cons when mixed with honey.

Mix the lemon juice with honey and it will work for sure. Many of the most expensive creams out there include honey because it is a natural anti-biotic.

-Fades out red zones

Lemon is not a definitive solution to acne. It is going to reduce it drastically and surely will work. It burns at first but, let's face it, there are a lot of other products for skin that burn and don't feel quite good, so this shouldn't be a matter thing. I have also noticed that it burns overall in face zones where your skin is oilier or acne tends to appear more often. Lemon is ideal when you think you have tried it out everything and nothing works on you. Thanks to this acid, your sebaceous follicles are dried so sebum is going to be produced much less. To use it, just squeeze a lemon and apply the juice with a cotton ball. First time is going to burn and itch but the next applications shouldn't feel this bad. Totally recommended

Pros:

-Cheap
-Natural
-Effective

Cons:

-Can be sorta itchy if you put to much on.
-The clerk at the store asking what your going to do with 5 lemons.
-Sneaking into the bathroom with a knife and a lemon.

Its a shame that more people don't know about this method for getting rid of acne marks. I had pretty bad acne when i was a freshmen, Im now a sophomore and my acne has calmed down considerably. Not because of the lemon. i had to see a doctor for that. The lemon juice ive been putting on my face seems to be working really good. and its only been about a week and a half. so im really expecting some fantastic results over the next two months. What i do is cut a portion of the lemon off and squeeze the juice out into a small cup. then use some cotton squares, or pads with the juice. I wipe that all over my face and leave it on for 15 minutes. then wash it off. i do this morning and night. I also use the philosophy micro massage exfoliating wash (the microdelivery) I dont watch QVC i swear. /:

Friend that I always come back to😉
I used to put lemon juice on my face when I had scars, and it helped perfectly. Sometimes it also help to dry out pimples and make them go away. However, I have forgotten about it and now since I got some hormonal acne and it left me scars I start use it again before I go to the bed and in the afternoon when I do my daily routine .. and I'm really satisfied. Recommend it;)
