Pros:

Clears up red spots within a few days of use.
Relieves a pimple after you have popped it

Cons:

Sticky. Drizzles. Gets in your hair if you use it at night

I started using honey as a spot treatment a few weeks ago on my red spots and on zits before and after I have popped them. I know popping zits is a big no no, but if you're like me and can't really resist, than applying honey on the spot afterwards helps relieve redness. I've found that when I put honey on a what looks to be an emerging pimple, it will turn into a white head. I leave the honey on my acne marks/red spots for a couple hours or almost a whole day If I don't have plans/lazy sunday/whenever I'm free. Leaving it on the spots for a couple hours relieves the redness fairly quickly-within 3-5 days for me. If you can't leave it on all day, try all night, that is helpful too!! For ladies/gents with long hair you might want to put your hair up if you're going to apply it at night though! I've woken up with a sticky mess of locks a few times :( I would definitely start using honey as a treatment for less severe cases of acne! It's extremely beneficial and not harsh on my skin like prescription brands.

Pros:

-Leaves skin soft and SO moisturized
-Lightens acne scars!
-Taste good!(:
-Tones skin
-Gives skin a healthy glow
-Heals pimples fast!

Cons:

-Sticky and messy but its worth it.

This is by far my favorite homade face mask ever! I have tried SO many and this is the only one that gave me the best results! How I use it: I use pure clover honey and apply it all over my face before I go to sleep. Just put a towell over your pillow and tie your hair back and leave it on overnight. I feel like the longer you keep it on, the better the results will be! My skin had alot of acne scars from previous blemishes and I had 4 active pimples and they have became less red and are pretty much gone!! Definently recommend this to anyone and everyone!(:

Pros:

Moisturizes.
Tones skin.
Clears skin of blemishes and acne.
Cheap.
Soothing.
Organic.

Cons:

Sticky and gets in hair.

Instead of spending a fortune on expensive products that don't do what they say will do, the answer is right in your pantry. Forget about all those pretentious brand names that give you false hopes of having clear skin, honey is nature's gift to you:)

best Mask
Honey seems to work the best on me in drying up a pimple, and by pimple, I mean fairly large. I have very oily skin, but this does not make me feel oily after I take it off. I of course only use raw honey from a health food store. Honey is so wonderful for many different things. Don't hesitate to smear this stuff all over your face, no matter what type of skin you have. I have tried the vinegar w/ the mother, but it doesn't do as much for me as the honey. Put the honey on all over your face or a spot treatment, say for about 30 minutes. Like other on the spot acne treatments, this is not going to cause the skin to peel or dry it out at all. I am allergic to almost everything I use, but this stuff is the best.

Recommend using raw, local stuff
Backstory: I used to do way too much to my face, the whole "3-step program" crap which just broke me out worse. I'd tried just about everything and finally gave up on all the "systems" and store-bought "miracles". Now, gentle cleanser at night (I use Simple because there isn't anything bad in it) to take off makeup and just a damp washcloth in the morning. I followed each with Lush's Grease Lightning as an acne fighter/moisturizer (I've been battling acne for half my life). But, once fall weather kicked in, it wasn't enough moisture. I was super dry. I'd also been using the honey cinnamon mask, which added some moisture for the rest of the night but didn't last any longer. I thought, man, is there any possible way for me to use plain, raw honey as a night moisturizer without it being so sticky? Yes. Yes there is. I mixed a pencil-eraser-sized amount of Naked Raw honey with the same amount of this 10% benzoyl peroxide cream which I got for $1.50 at Dollar General. It's a little tacky, but it's doable. It's nowhere near as bad as lipgloss. Your hair won't stick to it if the wind blows it on your face. About a week after I started this (instead of the Grease Lightning at night), I added a tiny bit of coconut oil for added moisture. It's not necessary, but it doesn't seem to hinder, either. The only thing is that you really need to rub this stuff in or else it will just sit on your face. However, my face is clearer than it has been since I was 10, and that's really saying something.

Pros:

Brightens and softens skin
Super cheap
Evens out skin tone
Removes redness

Cons:

Sticky and messy

I love using a honey mask a few times a week with the regimen. This week in particular my face was really broken out due to accidentally buying the wrong facial cleanser. (Seriously Cetaphil... all of your products have nearly identical labels!!). I had a quite a few huge, red pimples. I started using the honey mask every night before washing my face and my skin has started clearing up almost immediately. I mix honey with some (bottled) lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar (for exfoliation). My skin always looks so much brighter after using the mask. It also removes the redness and evens out skin tone. It's also super cheap!! A lot of people say that you MUST use expensive organic honey, but I have used "all natural honey" from the grocery store and have loved the results. My skin is so much softer (even the boyfriend has noticed!) The only downside is that it can be pretty messy, especially if you get it in your hair. I leave it on for five minutes or so (longer if I feel like it), then I rinse it off and follow the regimen as normal.

Pros:

Evens out skin tone
Smells/tastes great
Glowing complexion

Cons:

Sticky/messy

I've been using honey as a mask for a couple days now and could not be happier with the results! At first, I just put the honey straight out of the bottle all over my face. I did this overnight and it made my skin tone even out tremendously the next day. I also tried a mix of 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp olive oil, and 1 egg yoke (found this from another review) and this also works wonders. Not only is the mask easy to apply, but it doesn't run and it dries pretty quickly. You can wear either of these masks for 15 minutes or the entire day/overnight (which ever you have the time for or are comfortable with). I've found that including honey in my facial regiment has completely helped my skin!

Fantastic
I've been washing my face with honey every night for about 5 weeks now and it has really helped! It has really helped moisturize my face and make my skin so smooth and soft. I will say though, it took about 3 weeks before I started to see results. I won't say this cured my acne, but it really did clear it up! I do still get small pimples popping up once and awhile, but they are small and are usually gone again within a day. I use this every night, and then apply a homemade toner made up of tea tree oil and raw apple cider vinegar. If you decide to try this treatment, please give it at least 5 weeks trial. Nothing will really work within a week. I'm so glad that I stuck to this system, it has really worked for me!

Pros:

All Natural
Anti-Bacterial
Packed with nutrients & goodness
Moisturizes
Doesn't dry out the skin & leave it feeling ''tight'' after rinsing
Heals hyperpigmentation

Cons:

Nada

I'm using honey as a cleanser (yet to try it as a mask but will do so very soon) & it is just amazing. So pure and good. Smells and feels divine on the skin. Goes on smoothe and mixes well with water, no stickiness, no mess if you're careful & gentle (which is how your skin should be treated at all times). Make sure to use raw organic honey, usually creamy/white in colour. Can't understand why anyone would go back to a commercial, store bought cleanser after using this! You're doing your skin a world of goodness by using natural, medicinal products, literally feeding your skin. Ancient civilizations didn't label it ''Nectar of the Gods'' for nothing.
