Pros:

-Moisturizing properties
-Reduces redness
-Softens skin
-Enhances skin tone
-Suppresses breakouts

Cons:

(Very minute)
-Sticky on face
-Messy to a minor degree

My skin was subdued to excessive and compulsive washing which in turn caused redness, irritation, and dryness. After reading about honey, I decided to give it a go because it was so simple and I just happened to have a jar of honey at home. After the 1st use of honey, my face was unbelievably hydrated, soft, and not flaky. It's been 3 days now I believe and the pigmentation left by my acne is starting to subside slowly. I highly recommend this to anyone with acne as it is natural and possesses highly nutritional factors that apparently aids the skin in terms of health and impurities. I plan to share my continued experiences with honey once I hit the 1-3 week point where I can see more significantly positive results.

Pros:

Really Works, makes pores smaller, signifcantly reduces inflammed acne, makes less red, and seems to help with post acne marks

Cons:

should use raw organic honey, or even manuka honey which can be very expensive

Sticky and messy

I really cant believe something that has been in my cabinet all along could be this good for acne and red marks I have only written one view before on ZInc, and have tried so many products to help heal my acne, most with little success. I have moderate to light acne mostly forehead and some small ones on cheeks, but my problem is when i get a pimple it usually stays red for awhile and takes foreverrr to go away. For the past couple months my acne has pretty much cleared, with the help of zinc and just eating healthier (lots of fruits, vegetables and fish oils) but i still ocassionally get a pimple. I had heard about honey before and tried some on some pimples i got that were pretty inflammed. All i have to say is wow. this stuff really works. I'm the first one to doubt things but i left it on overnight and i woke up and it had significantly reduced and my skin looked more even. Been using it for couple weeks and it is still working well. I even sometimes add turmeric to it because that is suppose to be good for fading post acne marks. Trust me and try it, honey is very antibacterial and will not clog pores. But definitely get the expensive raw honey, it can be pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. I hope this works for others because for me it really does work wen other products don't do as much and work as fast. Its not a miracle cure but it def works very well. Hope this helped!

Pros:

Cleared all my 30 year acne, and craters, soft skin, amazing complexion, Saw results after 1 8 hour use , now i leave it on all the time.

Cons:

sticky, i dilute it with a little bit of cold water

You have to user RAW organic unfiltered honey for best results, do not heat it up. It will cure exczema and acne. RAW unfiltered Honey will cure anything and everything. It anti biotic, anti fungal, it has zero water in it so it will last for hunderes of years. It cured my acid reflux and bladder control I used this to cure my atheletes foot too.

this regimen cured my hormonal acne

Pros:

works
easy
cheap

Cons:

sticky
patience is key for flawless skin
test skin for allergy

So, I never had acne growing up, but after my first child I tried the oil cleansing method, I can't say for sure if it was breastfeeding or the ocm but I got huge angry cystic acne that lasted for over 6 months (only stopped because of the following) it was awful, painful and I have huge issues with picking anyway so you know that makes it ten-fold worse. I tried a lot of natural things, even the cave man method which worked until some extremely stressful things came up and brought on a new wave. Then I started using acv as a toner, it seemed to control it, but my picking was worse than ever from the stress. I remembered how I stopped myself from picking my lips with beeswax, so I thought, honey! I started using it, was too sticky, didnt give up though and I am pimple free for three days now and my skin is radiant, scars are healing it looks like I'm wearing shimmer.powder and blush but I makeup free its crazy. Here is what worked for me. A: wet face with warm water, spray any (braggs is best) acv into your palms and massage into face (walk around a lot if the smell makes your eyes water) B: before the acv/water dries, get out your honey, I keep mine in a small pot heres why, wet your fingers under the tap then gently graze the honeys surface, spot treat or swipe over a big area. C: leave let dry and keep on overnight. The reason I apply in such a strange way is taking globs of honey and applying to your face = runny honey sticky uncomfortable unable to sleep nightmare. By cutting the honey with water and acv it dries (only a tiny bit sticky comparatively) and then can be kept on overnight for maximum healing. People wash it off after a bit, that didn't work for me, it wasn't moisturizing enough. This method is like putting a scab over an open wound, you won't want to pick because its sticky enough to deter you, your skin is being cleansed (do NOT use anything but the acv and honey this is a healing process anything else will interfere) your skin is being moisturized. I have done this morning and night every day for 25 days now. I went from having I kid you not, a face full of every type of acne there is (white heads black heads cystic the stage inbetween black head and white where your bodies trying to kick the black head out) concentrated on my jawline and temples to a face that has not one pimple. I am soooo happy and I would be even happier if this helps just one person. Don't give up, give it at least three weeks to see improvement, remember the biggest mistake people make with their skin is trying too many things at once, if you've switched products in a matter of weeks expect your skin to riot.

Pros:

-Soft skin
-Reduce redness
-Clear acne
-Even out skin tone

Cons:

none for me :)

I never wrote review before but I really want people to know about power of honey. I'm 19 years old and for about 4 years i had acne and oily skin. I was always using drying creams and cleansers and I've never moisturized skin after. So my face got red, itchy, irritated, more oily and acne even worse. Now I'm using honey for about 3 weeks in the morning and evening after wasing my face and leave it on for about 40minutes wash it of and then apply moisteruiser. It really works. My skin is almost acne-free. For a fist time as i can remember i have really soft and smooth skin and even skin tone and nice feeling. Not thight or irritated like it used to be.

What moisturizer works well with this honey mask?
July 27, 2011

Pros:

softer and glow skin
lighten spots dan scars
reduce redness
moisture skin
reduce existing acne size
prevent acne
smells sweet

Cons:

sticky and drippy

Before honey mask, i used egg whites + apple cider vinegar mask and baking soda spot treatment too.. egg whites works fine on me and makes my pore tightens but doesn't do anything much for my acne... baking soda makes my acne just even more reddish and stingy too.. then i try the honey mask + cinnamon powder, i mix it all together then just spread it evenly all over my face, wait for an hour, then rinse with cold water.. and the results were AMAZING ! definitely will do it everyday now, to get rid of my old scars and acnes.. totally recomended !!!

I've never really dealt with major acne on my face, if any, minor blemishes; I've just found honey to be one way to keep my skin healthy. Honey is an amazing almost endless remedy for many problems body related. But here's the thing, just because you see a bottle at the supermarket that says honey on it, doesn't mean it's real honey, infact many are referred to as honey "sauce". My dad is a beekeeper so we have our own local pure honey company which means I know a lot about how the honey business works. The only way you know your honey is all natural and raw (which means it is also organic) is if you directly buy it from a local honey farm/beekeeper, or farmer's market. What's the difference? Honey from a beekeeper is directly jared after extraction from the hive. Honey that is sold to honey companies that sell their honey in supermarkets, is processed with preservatives and has corn syrup added to it to maintain its liquid state and shelf life. Pure honey crystalizes (hardens to become crystal-like); this doesn't mean the honey has gone bad which many people think. All you have to do is put the jar/container in a bowl of warm water, or leave it out in the sun for a little bit and it will turn liquid once again. Processed honey will never crystalize because of the preservatives. The reason honey is so good for the skin and illnesses, is because of all the vitamins and nutrients it contains. When honey companies process their honey at extremely high temperatures, pretty much all the nutrients and vitamins are killed off. So you really want to make sure you're using pure honey on your face, otherwise you're basically just using sugar.

Pros:

The best and its natural

Cons:

None that I can think of. Mix it with 1 tsp of cinnamon and it wont be as messy.

Use manuka honey about 5x more expensive then regular honey but works 20x better.

Pros:

Tastes good!

Cons:

messy to deal with if you are not using in the shower. You have to be careful not to get it in your hair or on clothes.... or the bathroom counter.

After 3 days of washing my face with this stuff 2x a day and using it as a mask 1x a day I had no more whiteheads and all my acne was drying up and much less red. However I have been using it for a week now and have not noticed any improvement with blackheads, but I definately do not have anymore zits or pimples.
