Love this!!
I have struggled with acne forever. Plus the combination of dry, oily, and sensitive skin, I could never win. After doing some research and advice from a friend I started doing honey and cinnamon masks every night and threw away my old face wash and I couldn't be happier with my results. Now in the mornings I just rinse my face with warm water and use a dab of coconut oil as my moisturizer (I also use the coconut oil after the masks). I have not had one breakout since I started this, "non-chemical" regime, which has been about 3 weeks. I would recommend this to everyone, to at least try for a week.

Amazing result
Hi,
I have been suffering from acne since November 2014, I did not want to use any chemicals on my skin which put me on the hunt for natural remedies. Here's my experience with different home remedies over a period of 5 months.
I used Shea butter for 2 months, it left my skin too oily and had no effect on acne. This was followed by a month and a half of milk cleansing and application of olive oil which again did not have the desired effect. Desperately, I was looking for solutions online and stumbled across acne.org and all the wonderful reviews on the benefits of honey. As I already had raw and unfiltered honey in my kitchen, I thought let me give it a shot before I fall back on chemical based solutions. From the reviews I understood that this could take time and therefore required a lot of patience which I was already in short supply of. But it was worth it!
When i started applying honey , I didn't see any changes for the first couple of days but i could see the glow on my skin. When I washed it off i could see redness and tiny new bumps form on the both cheeks. I was worried but after reading some more reviews that mentioned it could get worse (because honey pulls out toxins from the skin) before it gets better i thought of hanging in there. This redness persisted for 3 more days. Now I was at the one week mark. I could slowly see my acne vanishing into thin air. Now its been more than a month and my skin has improved by leaps and bounds. I rarely get 1 or 2 pimples these days and If I do, I promptly apply honey which zaps them within a day or two. My acne scars have all but gone. I recommend this for everyone as there are absolutely no side effects apart from the stickiness of honey :). Hope it works for you all!
Method: I wash my face with an organic face wash, wipe with facial tissue as cloth towels could contain dust particles which could seep into the skin, apply honey all over the face (for an even glow), keep it on for at least 7-8 hours and wash it off with cold water. Since my skin is a little dry, I apply Aloe Vera afterwards which soothes my skin.

Honey for facial wash improves skin immensely
Cons:
doesn't remove makeup
I have tried so many different brand name products for acne/facial washes plus bar soaps and all organic soaps. Nothing helped much, most things made my skin worse(i am convinced it was the harsh chemicals).
I've been Washing my face with honey 1-2 times a day for about a month and my skin has improved IMMENSELY. I have sensitive, combination skin- but my skin used to get very oily in certain areas throughout the day, honey has lessened the oil my skin produces VASTLY~ I also use honey-cinnamon face masks once or twice a week after exfoliating with sugar.
HOW TO USE HONEY WASH: I open pores before honey wash with warm water(not hot!) to face or steam, always rinse well after with warm water, use lemon juice as a toner afterwards, and rinse again with cold water or an icecube and moisturize. My skin only has a few dots left now.
OTHER TIPS:
- A healthy diet over the past many months was my main cure i believe (no sugar, dairy, wheat, oils, alcohol- Eat small portions, fast for 1-2 day periods once every 1-2 weeks- tons of veggis, some salmon/meat(boiled), and barely any fruit or nuts), plus 2+ cups green tea a day (after steeping most of the caffeine out for 40 seconds), 8 glasses of water, and exercise for 20mins-1hr after meals and to reduce stress. Sleep for 8 to 10 hours.
It's hard work but it totally paid off. Good luck!!

Pros:
natural, no side effects, quick results
Cons:
sticky
This stuff is borderline miraculous. I have never had results like this. I put the honey/cinnamon mixture on at bedtime, cover the area with a sheet of toilet paper to prevent it from getting on my pillows. Each morning, I am more and more amazed at how much better my skin looks on a daily basis. My scars are fading. Any new pimples stay tiny and disappear within days, and old pimples heal within days too. BUT, you MUST use raw honey (not just the organic kind) and your MUST add cinnamon (which somehow has a synergistic effect). Raw honey is a miracle worker: builds collagen, fights free radicals, draws in moisture. Its been my lifesaver with acne, but it supposedly fights wrinkles too (especially good for those of us suffering from adult acne).

My holy grail
I use local pure, unfiltered honey that crystallizes at room temp. If you need to warm it up to use just use your body heat to do so as heating in microwave can denature it too much. I put it on my dry face and leave it on for about an hr (can go longer if you want). when I'm ready to take it off I rub my skin in circular motions then I add Luke warm water to take it off. It comes off super easy. Make sure you wash it all off bc if you have some left on skin it can clog your pores (some people use a gentle cleanser afterwards but I don't think it's necessary). I air dry my face and then put on moisturizer (this is a MUST). My skin feels so soft and glowing afterwards. My acne pimples and scars are smaller and fade over time. AND my makeup goes on a lot smoother. I do this once a week. Pure local, unfiltered honey or Manaka honey is the key to seeing results with this.

Honey wonder mask
Acne and that too huge cystic ones can wreak an havoc on your confidence. I have done a lot of research on alternate therapies and with many trial and errors discovered this mask. I used it regularly AM and PM for 30 min each. Start with 5 min and gradually increase the duration to avoid burning of skin. Sharing this with a hope that others benefit 1 tsp -Cinnamon powder ( organic)
1 tsp- Nutmeg (organic)
2 tsp- Honey
5-10 drops- Tea tree/lavender ( which ever suits your skin)
1/2 tsp- Turmeric
1/2 tsp aloe vera ( subsitute with youghurt sometimes) This can be stored upto a week . Try it out as a patch first. Go ahead and let me know if it works.

Great Mask.
Love the honey, nutmeg, cinnamon mask. Great for my aging skin (I'm creeping up on 51) & combined with my DIY baking soda mask (I also use this as my cleanser both morning & evening) has created a softer, smoother complexion. (For the baking soda mask/scrub, simply add together baking soda & water to make a paste. Scrub gently then rinse. It is really that simple! Just be sure to use baking soda not baking powder)
For those of you with ultra sensitive skin beware of adding lemon to the mix. Lemon is obviously acidic & can potentially cause redness or other undesired results.
I have also decided to cut out using cleansing wipes as this adds unwanted and un-needed chemicals to my face. I traditional use a fair amount of makeup daily and have heard grape seed oil is a good alternative so I will try this next. Also Witch hazel is excellent to use as a toner and isn't too drying to the skin.

Pros:
-reduces scars!!
-reduces redness!
-tastes good lol :)
-skin is smooth
-skin is soft! :)
Cons:
messy if you sleep with it on your pillows!
Everyone! use honey! get the raw unpasteurized one! I bought one from my local farmer's market. I am a guy and i'm 17. i have finally cured my acne but i have lots of red marks left from it! Each time I use my honey mask the scars lessen and my skin is starting to look beautiful again!! hahaha. its like when i was little and looked in the mirror at that beautiful flawless skin! It's especially good with brown and red spots! These will fade overtime but the honey really speeds it up! it might also help some for their actual acne because honey has antibacterial properties but that will probably take a long time. i use it every day for one hour before bed. the longer you use it the more effective it is. i heard about someone who slept with it on and it was amazing for them! i just use it for my scars and it works wonderful! good luck to everyone curing their acne! :)
