Saviour!
Like many people I have used so many things to get rid of my acne. I don't have severe acne, but I definitely have noticeable break outs around the time of my period and it has been very frustrating! I've tried so many chemicals and products that dry out my skin and finally I tried to find an all natural remedy and I found this Honey Cinnamon Nutmeg Mask. All of the things I already had in my kitchen. At first I was a bit skeptical since it's just been drilled into my head that "If it stings it works" because this mask is really gentle on your skin, I tend to forget it's even on my face. Until you know, it drips or I accidentally touch/taste it (tastes good btw). I've been using this for over a year now, and I really don't know what I would do without it. I use baking soda to exfoliate my skin when I can feel my face starting to break out and put on this mask right after I rinse. I often walk around my house with this stuff on my face, I feel like the longer I have it on, the more it works. It really calms the acne swelling down and works miracles. It can get sticky and messy but just be careful!

Cheap and Effective
I've been using this for about a week now, and let me just say this is FANTASTIC. Now i don't consider myself to have major acne, but I have very dry skin which breaks out occasionally. Lately, Iv'e been breaking out all over my forehead and nose. Using this method has dramatically improved my skin is already starting to clear up. one tip is ADD CINNAMON! It makes it useful in acne treatment. These are its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Honey and Baking Soda=Great Results!

Pros:

Clearer, brighter skin
Inexpensive
Multiple uses:facewash, spot treatment or a mask

Cons:

a little messy, especially if you sleep with it on

I have had acne since I was a teenager, now in my twenties and it's still a huge problem for me :( I started washing my face every night with honey and baking soda, LIGHTLY scrubbing my face with my fingertips in a circular motion, then I let my face air dry and apply an apple cider toner (just diluted apple cider, 1/2 water 1/2 apple cider). It has actually worked wonders, WAY more effective than all the drugstore facewashes I've tried over the years ...I still have a few breakouts here and there but my skin is MUCH clearer, its brighter and just looks healthier. Plus, so much cheaper! I also use honey as an overnight spot treatment, dabbing it on problem areas...a little bit messy but trust me, its worth it! Also, make sure to use only pure unpasteurized honey....the other stuff has a bunch of additives that could be comedogenic and clog your pores

Pros:

really does help with reducing pimples!!

Cons:

takes time

When I first used it, it didnt help at all, but I continued using this mask a few times and it worked! I put this on my face once or twice a week, leave it on with a bit of salt on my nose and forehead and step in the shower. The heat of the steam will help melt the salt into my skin to exfoliate and get rid of excess sebum. And the honey almost melts into my face giving me a glowy complexion. This method is super effective, I recommend!!

Pros:

-small pimples cleared away
-pimple inflammation went down
-skin looks more even toned
-softer look
-tastes yummy and is natural!

Cons:

-sticky I guess, but whatever it's a mask
-manuka honey was kinda pricey

I mixed manuka honey, which is a raw and organic honey found in health stores, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. The mixture was kinda liquidy and dripped down my face before it dried. I left the mask on for 45 minutes and then rinsed it off with warm water. I noticed my skin looks much calmer and the redness from a lot of my old acne scars went down. Also my skin looks softer. In darker lighting it looks like I have nice skin since I can't see the scars as much and less inflammation. I highly recommend this. I've been suffering from acne for 4 years now and I've tried so many different things. From antibiotics to expensive creams to natural remedies to praying. I even tried the honey and egg white masks before, but I didn't use manuka raw honey. It worked okay, but not as well as the manuka honey. I see a much bigger difference with it. Right now I am also doing Dan's Regimen and on birth control. Oh yeah and I stopped eating glutten (not an easy task but I noticed my face is clearer and I get pimples much less often. And if I do they're small and go away faster). My skin was clearing up but because of hormones I broke out a little so I used the honey mask. I'm going to start using it every other day. I'm telling you it's really nice and definitely worth a try. Good luck everyone!!

Pros:

BEST acne product i've ever used

Cons:

messy

My skin is SOOO SOFT and my acne is gone. I constantly had 10+ pimples on my forehead/cheeks.... now my skin is acne free and my scars are fading! I guess one downside is I keep touching my face because of how soft my skin is! but so far this has not lead to any further breakouts :) By the way, I got a jar of organic honey for $2.99, been using it almost a month and still have some left. How can you beat that?

Pros:

It destorys bacteria, reduces swelling, and eliminate pain of acne that's underneath the skin. I use raw-wild honey. I don't use it as a mask, but as spot treatment on bumps that are open and put honey right on top of it for 20 minutes and wash off.

Cons:

None.

I use raw-wild honey. I don't use it as a mask, but as spot treatment on bumps that are open and put the honey right on top of it and leave it on for 20 minutes and wash off. In the morning when I wake up the bump is 98% gone and after the second day it's completely gone and it doesn't leave a scar. I find that honey works wonders on open acne or sores. I've tried the mask but it just made my skin soft and thats it. I recommend this treatment to anyone who suffers with inflammatory acne that eventually become whiteheads infected with bacteria, these bumps hurt and raw-wild honey quickly gets rid of the pain, swelling, and the bump itself, completely gone with in two days of use. Try it you'll see. I've not tried the commercial honey that's bought in stores. Raw-wild honey can be purchased at a natural food organic store, make sure it says raw or wild honey, it may cost a little more but it's worth it.

Pros:

It leaves your skin really soft after using it, smells good, it works!

Cons:

Sticky, Messy, Drips.

Before aplying it i did some research, it turns out that topically, the honey has antibacterial properties due to an osmotic effect that creates a poor enviroment for microorganinsms; sounded fancy, so I gave it a try. very good overall you can see the results almost instantly left my skin incredibly smooth and soft. worked better than many artificiall products.

Pros:

make sure its Raw Honey!!! from a health shop. The supermarket honey does NOT work

Cons:

a little annoying. need time in private to apply. drips all over the place too.

In the 12 years I've been battling acne. I have NEVER seen such a vast improvement. For the first time in a long time... I don't have one single pimple on my face!! I cannot believe all the time and money I have wasted on other methods when THIS is the one that truly works.
