Pros:

WORKS! Topically and Internally, reduces acne and scarring.
Glowy skin
More energy
Weight loss
Better immune system
Tasty
Cheap

Cons:

If you don't brew it right it can go bitter, or some may dislike the taste
If I have 3 or 4 cups one after the other I get really hot (even with iced tea) and I get really low blood pressure

for those of you saying it's bitter you don't need to brew it for a long time! what I do is... - Boil some water, about 3.5 mugs full -LEAVE THE WATER to cool down a bit.. just a bit though like 30 secs. if the temperature is too hot, it makes the tea bitter -Put about 4 heaped tsp of green tea leaves in a pitcher -Pour in the still very hot but not boiling water -Leave it for ~2 MINUTES. yes, all the goodness will be in the tea, it's not necessary to brew for longer than that. It'll just make it bitter. -Strain the leaves out -Put a few tbsp of tea into a seperate container for a toner -Pour out the tea from the pitcher into a mug, and drink! (if I'm craving sugar for some reason I add about half a tsp of Agave Nectar. It is very low GI! But I normally don't add the agave) I normally have a mug before breakfast, and a mug after breakfast. Then I have another couple mugs throughout the day (I make more batches, and give it to my parents too). So I have like 4 mugs a day. See "Pros" for results!

Pros:

Cheap, convenient, I think it tastes good. Does its job.

Cons:

If I drink it on an empty stomach I get super nauseous.

I had acne in high school but not in college. I graduated college two and a half years ago and my acne has been worse than ever. I started thinking, what was different in college? I was more stressed, more tired, and ate crummier foods, so why did my skin look pretty good most of the time? I realized that in college I drank about five cups of green tea a day. I wonder why I stopped. For a few days I've been drinking it like crazy and my skin is already starting to clear up even though I have pms (a time when nothing works). Drink it! It's so good for you.

Pros:

Very affordable, healthy for skin AND body, works fast.

Cons:

Dosen't taste the best, but come on. Who cares?

It works. I've been using this for only days, and i've noticed a significant change in the redness of my face, and my acne has all but got up and walked off my face. I was a little skeptic at first, but i tried it and it changed my life. Do it. What do you have to lose?

Are there any downsides to this?
I am going to base my review off of two things: my one year long exchange in Japan experience drinking 6-10 cups of green tea a day, and my current routine which is taking green tea extract supplements. In Japan I had the clearest skin of my life. People told me that it was glowing, and it was. At the time, i was drinking so much pure, potent and natural tea every day that it just radiated on my skin. The most I was drinking was with my third host family, and it was during that period of time that I had the clearest skin. At my other families I drank a lot as well, but not nearly enough as at my third. Now, since returning, I have stopped drinking green tea and my acne is back. My host mom sent me a package filled with my favorite Japanese green teas, but I find that when I drink them I stay up allll night. I am really sensitive to caffeine, and can only drink one or two cups a day while still falling asleep at a decent time. So, I take green tea extract supplements instead. It does the trick just fine and I can start to see my skin glowing again. Make sure to use the purest form that you can, which is usually loose instead of in tea bags. Good luck!

Pros:

Helps with acne
looks younger
stop allergy
helps with constipation

Cons:

Non-Chinese green tea taste bad and not effective.

I am 46 and have been drinking green tea since I was 20's. The taste of green tea from Asian brands are much better than others. And the effectiveness of each brand is certainly different. I stick with Yamamoto or good green tea from china town. I can't live without green tea. I never have to take allergy medicine, it helps with acne and constipation. People always think that I am at least 10 years younger. The good green tea will be light green color and taste good. I drink 2-3 cups a day. Try it, it's the best.

Pros:

-very cheap and it'll last you a while
-reduces acne after a while
-great for not only body, but your skin

Cons:

No cons

I found green tea is great for your acne, and i've been using it for around 5 days. Once a week, i steam my face with green tea (put a green tea bag in a facial steamer and let it boil). But daily, i drink around 3-4 cups of green tea and in the morning and night, i rub the green tea bag on my face and let it dry after cleansing. I can see small, but getting there, improvements on my acne. I'm planning on sticking with green tea for a while :D it tastes good too!!!!

Pros:

Cleared up all of my acne and gives my skin a glow to it. When I first started drinking green tea I also had a lot of the pimples that were underneath the skin. So, I also started taking birth control due to a hormal imbalance. But I definitely notice the difference when i'm on the BC and stop drinking the green tea.

Cons:

none

Pros:

Green tea actually breaks down the fat in your food and nutralizes the oxidants in your body, so that you get less acne, it also actually makes me look more alive and younger and speeds up the rate at wich your body repairs acne scars.

Cons:

Keeps me awake because of the caffeine
makes me lose weight like crazy because I already have a fast metabolism.

Drinking grreen tea is good for you, It made me get WAY LESS acne than i used to get, and my acne was cycstic and very frequent like a new pimple everyday, and now i dont get sever acne anymore, my face looks much clearer. TIP: tomorow im actually gonna try brewing some green and putting it in a spray bottle then spraying it onto my face....I will let you guys know the benefits of doing that in a few weeks....or days lol
