Pros:

- Skin feels nourished and refreshed
-Tones skin

Cons:

- Gives a slight tightening feel but it's not too much of a problem

I use this as a toner everyday. I was banned from using facial products (because I'm allergic to some) and this is a great way for me to have an everyday toner. It's extremely inexpensive and tones my skin just great :)

Pros:

Great for skin

Cons:

Perhaps the taste

I would recommend using regular green tea because when it becomes non-caffeinated you lose alot of the antioxidants (which is what helps your skin). Also be sure to drink it hot. Green tea contains catechins (location of the antioxidants) and theanine (provides sweetness and freshness) that reduce caffeine activity. Brewing green tea allows these molecules to combine with caffeine in hot water, rendering the caffeine less effective. If you let it cool off too much after brewing, the catechins break down and more caffeine is released.

Pros:

Cheap
felt good after drinking it
I didn't have a recent pimple since I started drinking green tea

Cons:

still need to mix it with honey so I won't taste its bitterness

I have already fought my battle against acne by using cetaphil antibacterial soap for my facial wash and for some time I also drank glutathione just for about a month. I also use tea tree oil as a toner but it was drying yet with it I seldom have breakouts. I started drinking green tea because it had a high rating here @ acne.org and truly I didn't have a single breakout when I started drinking it. I drink it only twice a day mixed with honey. I love it so much!!!! Although I still get lots of oil on my face whenever the weather is so hot, still the important thing is, no more breakouts, tiny pimples that will lessen your confidence.

Pros:

-natural
-reduces acne
-antioxidants are good for skin
-extremely cheap

Cons:

NONE

I suffered from acne since junior high. I have tried every products out there, but none works for me until i went to vietnam for a vacation and stayed with my aunt, who loves green tea very much. Even though i'm not a big fan of green tea, I drank it for 1 month to replaced water and other soft drink. I noticed the big difference after 1 week, but I didn't think that green tea was the key that lighten up my acne instead I thought maybe it's the weather and climate over in Asia that caused my skin to react differently. When I came back to the state, I stopped drinking green tea and started to break out again. I thought to myself is it really the climate or it something I ate or drink? Green tea was the first thing in my head. I went to walmart and bought a pack of lipon greentea. After drinking it for a week, I can see the difference in my skin. It got better. I also used green tea as a mask and toner as well. I finally found something like works for me! hopefully it will stay that way!! :D

Spearmint Tea for Hormonal Imbalance
I'm not really a fan of writing review since I'm actually a reader. I've been searching and reading a lot of websites about reducing acne/pimples. Whatever you call it. I've bought a lot of expensive products then in the end it doesn't help me, rather it worsen my face. Until I've come across this article that says drinking spearmint tea helps hormonal imbalance leading to reduce oil production leading to less clogging of pores leading to less pimples. I'm not a fan of tea but why not try? It's easier than applying tones of things in the face right? So I went to look for just the spearmint tea flavor in a tea shop. And tried it once a day in the morning. And that day I started taking zinc as well. In addition, I started before taking omega 3 supplement. After 2 days, I can see the difference. No more breakouts in the morning. I have little one or two, but they are so tiny unlike before that it's big, noticeable cyst. I'm trying now to search what can I use to reduce blemishes, while continuously drinking tea.

Nothing to lose
Having suffered a sudden breakout and wanting to clear up my skin I did some extensive research that led me to discover the benefits of green tea. Green tea had been mentioned in a number of studies known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties so I decided to give it a shot. Green tea helps reduce insulin levels and contains catechins that have potent antioxidant properties. The antioxidant levels are greater in green tea powders and tea leaves than tea bags, and make sure the tea you buy is fresh! Most recommended drinking 4-6 cups a day. I started drinking a few cups throughout the day, once in the morning, in the afternoon and the evening and boy did it really change my skin. I have no new acne and my skin is a lot brighter/less oily. Of course you shouldn't rely on it to get rid of acne forever, it is a supplement that should go along with having a well-balanced diet, adequate sleep and exercise. On a side note, I also limited my intake of gluten and dairy which also helped clear up my skin. I definitely recommend green tea to everyone! It's amazing!!

Pros:

-Helps PREVENT breakouts
-Reduces redness
-Works surprisingly fast
-Other health benefits (weight loss?)
-No side effects, no hormones, no dryness
-Cheap

Cons:

No comparison to other items I've tried.

And to those who complain about taste, it comes in flavors!

I am a 40-something woman with hormonal acne. I stumbled onto these remarks about green tea. I have been unhappy about being prescribed hormonal medication with definite side effects and stopped taking it. All these reviews are NOT wrong! The tea does work! I was really quite surprised. I drank a lot of coffee. After reading about all the benefits of green tea (including the weight loss and the comment on Oprah that you could lose ten pounds in six weeks if you replace morning coffees with green tea), I decided to cut the coffee, too. As far as taste, green tea comes in many different varieties that are good! I bought a lot of the regular and will get some more flavors. In ONE DAY, I noticed a difference. I don't mean peaches and cream in ten seconds, but redness is definitely noticeably reduced. I have had a couple breakouts since I started this regime, but nothing compared to what I used to deal with. I'd probably have had about 8 explosions by now; instead I have had 2 small ones. I am drinking about 3 cups a day right now, more if I can. I use the tea bags a little bit on my face but have not really tried that much. I use caffeinated at work and decaf at home. I don't think you need the organic but some people prefer. I have bought the bottled tea that contains honey, too. Honestly, I'd start with the cheaper stuff before going for the expensive organics. It's been a week now. I had a few breakouts but nothing compared to what I used to deal with. The redness is majorly reduced. I'll have to see if I make it through a cycle and that dreaded PMS time looking this good. Remains to be seen if I will lose weight ,but I do notice a change in appetite. My diet isn't that bad so I am not changing it that much. This tea is my new medication. I am hoping to permanently ditch the medicine from the derm. And it's given me pause to think more about the wisdoms of herbal medicines.

Pros:

Effectively reduces acne and redness,
Evens out your skin tone,
Makes skin look healthier,
Flushes "bad stuff" out of your system.

Cons:

You'll have to go to the bathroom very often.

Just started drinking this last night. I drank an entire pot - yes, a pot. Like a cooking pot. I filled it up with water, boiled it, and then added four tea bags which I let steep for at least one hour. As a result, the tea is extremely strong. I drank an entire pot last night before bed. I have three cystic acne pimples that were very red, huge, scaly and painful. Inflammation is extremely reduced and redness is gone. No more pain, just a pleasant buzzing sensation. My face is much less red and now my unaffected skin resembles porcelain. I'm unsure how I benefited from this tea so quickly, but I certainly did. I drank the pot directly before bed. Maybe that's why.

Pros:

Clears acne
Prevents future break outs
Makes skin soft
Natural
Does not irritate skin
Reduces redness

Cons:

May have a peculiar taste but after awhile you grow accustom to it other than that, none at all.

Green tea is the all time super drink. Not only has it been keeping my skin clear with the occasional pimple and breakout, but it is also has many other health benefits. I try to drink it at least once a day and I also take the tea bag and apply it to my face while also pressing it under my eyes to wake them up. I think green tea is amazing, it makes my skin glow, it's gentle and non-irritating and I do not get big pimples that often when drinking this. I highly recommend this, please try it out.
