Every time i try to switch cleansers i end up back at Cetaphil gentle, I use atralin and finacea and this is the only thing i can use that helps my sensitivities, Thank God for this!!

Pros:

- Cleanses well
- Fragrance free
- Non-irritating
- Cheap and easy to find, can buy in larger quantities
- Leaves skin feeling smooth

Cons:

- Kind of unsettling consistency

This is my favorite cleanser EVER. I have been using it for several years now, and every time I try some new product, I always come back to Cetaphil. Why spend more when you don't have to? This is not a medicated cleanser, so no, it will not clear your skin on it's own. But as a cleanser to use before medication, such as BP, this is great. No, it doesn't foam. That means it is soap free. Cleansers don't need to foam to work. People tend to associate skin that's totally stripped of all oil with "clean". This leaves what is supposed to be left on your face, while getting rid of the stuff that isn't.

Great
I've been using this for a few days. At first I was surprised by the texture, it's quite watery and doesn't foam up. My skin is acne prone and combination, it's quite moisturising, no dryness, no oiliness. Leaves the skin feeling clean. After a couple of days using this, my skin started feeling VERY SOFT. I haven't broken out so far. I would recommend this for all skin types!

what your skin type?

Pros:

Price for amount
Can get it just about anywhere
It actually works for my issues which is redness!

I dont ever post reviews unless i am very impressed with something. I have very sensitive skin and always have issues with redness. Not really acne but redness. I am at the point that i have scheduled an appointment with a dermatogist to see if i have rosacea or somthing. I decided to try Cetaphil and all i can say is WOW! What a difference after just the first use. I can finally wash my face and it not look like i have a severe sunburn or windburn. It feels soothed. Still a little dry but about 80% of the redness gone! I am really glad i tried it hope that this is not temporary results. If you have issues with redness i would definetly recommend trying this.

Pros:

Gentle, no noticeable scent, leaves skin feeling smooth and clean, inexpensive.

Cons:

Doesn't lather- some people prefer this, although it doesn't bother me.

A few months ago I decided to give this product a try after seeing so many positive reviews. My skin is sensitive, and usually pretty dry in most places, but also very prone to break outs. This cleanser leaves my face feeling moisturized, and has helped keep breakouts to a minimum. Everyone's skin is different, so what works for me may not work for you- but I would definitely recommend anyone to give this a try!

Pros:

- Affordable
- Light, smells decent
- Does a decent job of stopping acne
- Truly is for sensitive skin, moisturizes nicely
- Controls oil

Cons:

None

I love this mostly because it doesn't leave your face burning or red, it just cleanses lightly and washes off. I can't believe so many people are having problems with acne because of this product, its worked perfect for me. There is also a clear difference between the harshness of this compared to the regular cleanser by Cetaphil. This is lighter and definitely made for sensitive skin. It appears to control oil well, unless you're like me and super super oily just hours after. A nice product, much better than Neutrogena for me.

Pros:

Helps with dry skin caused by acne treatment, i.e. redness and flaking
Gentle
Leaves skin feeling soft
Inexpensive
Excellent for sensitive skin

Cons:

Doesn't leave that satisfying "clean" feel
Doesn't actively clear acne

I've used this for years, and I love it, although it took me a while to come around. I used to use the formula for oily skin, because I assumed that would be best for acne. However, I now use the regular formula with excellent results. Many people become disheartened because they expect it to clear acne, but that is not its purpose. It creates clean, soft skin and helps eliminate much of the redness and flaking caused by BP. I hated it for the first month because it didn't feel like the cleansers I was accustomed to. It feels like washing your face with lotion, which made me afraid it would cause more breakouts. Overall, don't be turned off because it feels different than you expect. It is an excellent cleanser, particularly for those pursing active acne treatment, as it repairs damage caused by the treatment process.

Great cleanser
I was fooling around with a lot of facial cleansers and I couldn't find one that would get rid of my acne. I started to use cetaphil because so many people recommended it online so I gave it a try. It felt weird a first, almost like my face wasn't clean, usually it would feel a little squeekey and I hated that feeling because I felt like all my good oils were being stripped away but I guess it was cleaning my face because even though it felt weird I was super moisturized after and my acne slowly started to go away. Along with starting to drink more water and sleeping more my acne was minimized by 90% and now I don't think I will ever change my cleanser because it is so gentle and reduces my acne.

Pros:

Relatively cheap
Is gentle on skin
Doesnt sting
Doesnt leave skin tight or feeling dry
REALLY WORKS!

Cons:

Can feel a little like it leaves a residue, but only because I think I am used to such harsh/stripping cleansers.

I have always had relatively problem skin, its not very oily but has large patches around my chin/cheeks which get very deep and painful pimples, and I also get several blackheads. I have tried most products; Clean and Clear, Clearasil, and I used Proactiv for quite a while. Nothing has worked like this Cetaphil has. Originally I purchased the Cetaphil for Oily skin, and was disapointed as I found it very harsh on my skin and my skin always felt tight. So I decided to give it one more go, and purchased this one Cetaphil gentle cleanser for all skin types. It really works. It really REALLY does. It took me a while to get used to it, as it seemed creamier than other cleansers I had previously been using, but straight away my skin felt calmer, it wasnt so inflamed and my pimples werent so tender and sore. After a few weeks, I stopped getting the large cystic acne pimples, and lots of my blackheads had disappeared. I have been using this for 3 months and absolutley love it, I will never try anything else! My skin care regime now consists of Cetaphil cleanser, then BP 5% cream, and then Neturogena Sensitive Skin Moisturiser . My skin has never felt better, or been less troublesome! I used this forum a lot when trying to decide which products to use, and I hope this post helps someone!
