so far so good
i have been using this for two days and it has already cleared up most pimples i have. it feels great and i love that its fragrance free as my skin is quite sensitive. (i use it twice a day, applying warm water to my face first, then massaging in the cleanser for about 2-5 minutes, and then i wash it off with cold water before patting my face dry with a towel) i will be sure to update if i see any changes!

Pros:

Doesnt strip Skin, Feels Great, One of the only cleansers that doesnt leave me RED and DRY,Non-irritating

Cons:

Wierd consistency, sometimes feels like a film maybe on the skin, but i need this film of lipids honestly

Every time i try to switch cleansers i end up back at Cetaphil gentle, I use atralin and finacea and this is the only thing i can use that helps my sensitivities, Thank God for this!!

Pros:

- Cleanses well
- Fragrance free
- Non-irritating
- Cheap and easy to find, can buy in larger quantities
- Leaves skin feeling smooth

Cons:

- Kind of unsettling consistency

This is my favorite cleanser EVER. I have been using it for several years now, and every time I try some new product, I always come back to Cetaphil. Why spend more when you don't have to? This is not a medicated cleanser, so no, it will not clear your skin on it's own. But as a cleanser to use before medication, such as BP, this is great. No, it doesn't foam. That means it is soap free. Cleansers don't need to foam to work. People tend to associate skin that's totally stripped of all oil with "clean". This leaves what is supposed to be left on your face, while getting rid of the stuff that isn't.

Great
I've been using this for a few days. At first I was surprised by the texture, it's quite watery and doesn't foam up. My skin is acne prone and combination, it's quite moisturising, no dryness, no oiliness. Leaves the skin feeling clean. After a couple of days using this, my skin started feeling VERY SOFT. I haven't broken out so far. I would recommend this for all skin types!

what your skin type?

Pros:

Price for amount
Can get it just about anywhere
It actually works for my issues which is redness!

I dont ever post reviews unless i am very impressed with something. I have very sensitive skin and always have issues with redness. Not really acne but redness. I am at the point that i have scheduled an appointment with a dermatogist to see if i have rosacea or somthing. I decided to try Cetaphil and all i can say is WOW! What a difference after just the first use. I can finally wash my face and it not look like i have a severe sunburn or windburn. It feels soothed. Still a little dry but about 80% of the redness gone! I am really glad i tried it hope that this is not temporary results. If you have issues with redness i would definetly recommend trying this.

Pros:

Gentle, no noticeable scent, leaves skin feeling smooth and clean, inexpensive.

Cons:

Doesn't lather- some people prefer this, although it doesn't bother me.

A few months ago I decided to give this product a try after seeing so many positive reviews. My skin is sensitive, and usually pretty dry in most places, but also very prone to break outs. This cleanser leaves my face feeling moisturized, and has helped keep breakouts to a minimum. Everyone's skin is different, so what works for me may not work for you- but I would definitely recommend anyone to give this a try!

DO NOT USE CONTAINS SLS WHICH CAN CAUSE ACNE
I have combination/sensitive skin and had light acne when i started using this product before i was using a salicylic acid acne treatment but i heard salicylic acid can be to irritating for sensitive skin so i switched to Cetaphil Gentle skin cleanser. After using this product for about 2 months my acne became much worse. I found out one of its main ingredient Sodium Lauryl Sulfate can dry/irritate skin and is HIGHLY Comedogenic! I now use honey to cleanse my face and my face is still healing from the breakouts caused by this product. Ever since i stopped using this product i have not seen any new breakouts. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT

Not everyone has a problem with Sulfates.
June 17, 2011

Pros:

- Affordable
- Light, smells decent
- Does a decent job of stopping acne
- Truly is for sensitive skin, moisturizes nicely
- Controls oil

Cons:

None

I love this mostly because it doesn't leave your face burning or red, it just cleanses lightly and washes off. I can't believe so many people are having problems with acne because of this product, its worked perfect for me. There is also a clear difference between the harshness of this compared to the regular cleanser by Cetaphil. This is lighter and definitely made for sensitive skin. It appears to control oil well, unless you're like me and super super oily just hours after. A nice product, much better than Neutrogena for me.
