Love the smell and it's very effective!

Pros:

Very effective for candia infections
Easy to find
All natural

Cons:

Some people break out from it

It's smells wonderful it's like being on the beach. Completely cleared up my skin yeast infection. Also works as a good moisturizer and a good spot treatment for acne. Also good internal eating too!

Pros:

• Reduces acne size/speeds up healing process
• Pushes up black heads
• Leaves skin moisturized
• Smells awesome
• Doesn't cause new breakouts
• You only need a little so it lasts awhile
• Has so many other uses. Look it up.

Cons:

•A bit greasy

1) The most important thing you need to know before you try it is to buy the right kind. Only 100% virgin coconut oil. 2) The consistency of the product depends on the temperature. I find that when I store it in a cool place it is white and semi-solid but melts easily. When it is hot or left in the sun it is a clear liquid. 3) It comes in a jar which isn't very sanitary, and even though it is an antibacterial, as soon as I buy it I transfer it to a squeeze bottle I bought from Walmart. 4) The only time I apply it to my face is after a shower when my skin is stil wet, otherwise it doesn't get absorbed and just sits there. 5) I also use it in my hair as a substitute for conditioner, so when I have my bangs down I don't get acne on my forehead. 6) It does remove makeup and is a little greasy so I only use it at night. 7) Might stain bedding. 8) Good substitute for tanning lotion 9) Off topic a bit but it does help you lose weight when ingested internally. So guys, just try it. Everybody is different and you won't know until you do it yourself.

Pros:

Fades hyper pigmentation
Evens skin tone and texture
Prevents acne
Speeds up healing process
Smells awesome
Great hair/lip/hand treatment

Cons:

A tad greasy

I use this every time wash my face as a moisturizer and it works great! It is a little greasy at first, but is definitely less greasy later on in the day than my Aveeno moisturizer I used to use. I noticed after about a week that my skin tone evened out, my pores and blackheads shrank, I had less acne, and they healed faster than usual. I had a big hyper pigmentation scar on my leg from a fall, and after applying a bit of coconut oil to it, it faded too! I heard that for some people, they get a break out the first time they used it for a while. It didn't happen to my face, but when I applied it to my bacne, I did notice a breakout so I just stuck to sesame oil for my back scars.. I want to see if it goes away after a while, but prom is coming up and I didn't want to risk it. Bottom line, it's cheap (at trader joe's at least), it works, and it smells like almond joys! I really love it!!

Pros:

great moisturizer for my face, makes skin soft and smoooth

Cons:

little whiteheads that form, but they go away as fast as they came, its part of the process to clean out the bacteria underneath the skin

I LOVE IT!! has helped me so much with the redness on my cheeks and nose. mixed with some lavender oil great stuff...a lot of people give up on coconut oil because of the whiteheads, but give it some time maybe a week or two and my skin looks and feel like is healing..heaven sent...get Organic raw unrefined coconut oil..massage it onto the face don't just leave it on..make sure it absorbs in your skin..believe me i am in shock right now

Pros:

makes skin very soft. was most helpful for me with cystic acne. when used on cysts it made them smaller until they disappeared... they never had to come to a head.

Cons:

causes problems when left on face for too long.
"gets worse before it gets better," and in my case, leaving it on my face overnight or during the day only caused it to get worse.

I'd been hearing a lot about the odd benefits of using coconut oil for acne and decided to give it a try. I used the organic extra virgin kind... anything else shouldn't go near your face. My problem was that I took advice that it should be left on your face. I would advise only leaving it directly on the cyst overnight/daily, and if you put it all over your face, to wash it off after 10-15 minutes... otherwise it just clogs the pores and causes more problems. This is the kind I used: [link removed]

Pros:

*Reduces acne
*Helps balance hormones
*Kills candida
*Tastes amazing

Cons:

*Have to start slow

I eat extra virgin coconut oil daily. And it has worked wonders. I melt 2 teaspoons and mix into my daily green smoothie. I went from having breakout all over my face to have three small pimples in 4 days. However, make sure to start with 1 teaspoon then every 4-5 days increase by 1/4 teaspoon. If you jump in and start taking 1 tablespoon it can break you out. This stuff is amazing, give it a try! Just be cautious before putting it on your face, it can be pore-clogging.

Pros:

Smooth, soft, glowing skin
Clears up acne
Makes you smell awesome(if you like coconut)
Can be used for so many things

Cons:

None so far

This stuff is amazing! It was only about 7.00$ and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to use it for at least a year. I've been using it for a couple weeks now, the first day I started it I had a blemish coming on and it was really sore. The next morning I couldn't even feel it. What pimples I already had looked smaller and my skin tone was more even. Of course, it made me break out, my forehead was a disaster area and I got zits in places I'd never had them before. HOWEVER, I expected that, and I kept using it. Now my face is clearing up and my skin has never been better. Blackheads have always been my major issue and they're disappearing rapidly. I don't get as many pimples and they go away much faster. Not to mention my skin is ridiculously soft and my skintone is even. And this is all just from using it as a moisturizer. The only problem I could have is that at first it seems greasy, but it soaks in eventually. And I think the more I use it the faster my skin absorbs it.

Pros:

uv protection, moisturizer, antibacterial, smells great, cheap skin care.

Cons:

none that i know of.

i have acne and eczema together on my face. great combo...one dry one oily and they irritate each other it seems. i started using the virgin coconut oil to clear up my acne...and as a bi-product it cleared up my eczema as well. i put a thin layer, massaged in, several times a day. i do not wash it off, except to wipe my face at the end of the day with a warm cloth before i re-apply. at first you may/will? break out, up to a week of pimples for me...i stuck to it, and now rarely break out. if a lump/pimple does start to form under the skin, i leave it alone and it is usually gone by the next day! without coming to a head, i might add. almost invisible. as a bonus, coconut oil (virgin) is a natural sunblock..spf 2-4. the only natural oil with a higher spf is sesame oil, also good for the skin, but i don't like the smell. also, one should eat several Tbsp of virgin coconut oil each day...it does wonders for your insides too....!

Pros:

Coconut oil is probably the best thing for your skin. I recommend it highly!

Cons:

Makes the skin look oily, but that is the least of my concerns.

Antifungal, antibacterial, antiparasitic properties. You can cook with it. You can eat it by the spoonfuls. You can use it on the skin. What more can you ask for?

Pros:

Cheap, seems to already be working after just a few days, smells nice

Cons:

none, really

I have suffered with severe cystic acne on my back and shoulders for 25 years. Nothing helped, and believe me, I tried everything. The jury is still out, but after only 5 days, the coconut oil is already improving the existing nodules, and no new ones are emerging. Keeping my fingers crossed. I love it so far, and the price cannot be beat!
