Pros:

helped clear redness

Cons:

makes my skin really itchy.

I've only been using it for a couple of weeks so i'm not sure if it is going to dramaticly reduce acne, but it has made my skin so itchy. I feel like I'm going to cause more problems by scratching. doesn't seem to work any better than other topicals i've tried and didn't need perscibed. It was afforable, it cost me nothing, because it was covered by insurance.

Pros:

Easy to use, not many side effects

Cons:

Pretty ineffective on its own, makes skin oilier

I was prescribed this as the first course of action against a bad breakout, and after the first four weeks I noticed absolutely no difference in the level of acne on my face. I found that it made my skin even oilier when applied in the daytime so I stopped using it entirely. Stick with the over the counter Benzoyl Peroxide.

Pros:

It will work miracles for awhile, for about a year or so.

Cons:

Eventually your skin gets use to the cream because there is a antibiotic in it, and the cream will not have the effect it did at first .

The good news is that there is a BP 5% lotion in it as well and that will continue to work. However the fact is you will be dissapointed because the amazing results you see at first will not last. In the long run it is just another BP topical lotion that will work average. If you want a year of no worries with perfect skin give it some time when you first get on it and that is what you will get. Trust me I know I have tried everything out there (Expensive brands..Zirh, Biotherm, Vichy, Clairns, Clinique, Avene etc..) Ive tried the typical brands (Oxy, Neutrogena, Nivea, Cetaphil, Spectro Jel, Dove, all different soaps). The best thing you can do is find a non-irritating cleanser (the only one that works for me is Spectro Purple bottle..it is the best) wash morning and night and if you need to use a BP lotion at night until you grow out of acne. Take a step back, relax, go out and have fun and dont worry about. You one life to live make it count

Pros:

My acne seemed to be clearing up initially, probably within the first couple weeks, my skin was very dry but I didn't mind because the pimples were clearing up.

Cons:

During the second week I started to get large bumbs under the skin that hurt and turned red but never came to the surface. Im waiting to see if they will subside or not.

I would recommend this product because I have heard from friends it works, but i have yet to see the results.

Pros:

Um well it kinnda helps and i dont have bad acne so i dont know why it cant clear it up but yea.

Cons:

nothing it does not dry my skin out and it does not do much

Um well i have been using this stuff for like two years for the first year it worked BUT for the last year it has not worked as well SO I AM MAD!

Pros:

It worked really, really well for the first year or so.

Cons:

After the first year, I've began struggling again with acne. I find Clindoxyl doesn't let the acne come to the surface, so I always had permanent white bumps under my skin - they weren't especially visible, but I could see them.

When you first use it, it will turn your entire face red. I found this out the hard way - ended up going to school looking like I had the weirdest sunburn ever (and people noticed)! But once your skin gets used to it, it goes away. I found that due to using this, my skin was never smooth, there were always bumps and it always felt 'rough'. I have been using this for almost two years and felt that it just wasn't helping that much anymore. It did work REALLY well for the first while and I do recommend it. Just be careful to hide out for the first few days if you don't want people to ask why you look like someone poured tomato soup on your face (true story!)

Pros:

i used Clindoxyl on it's own. i used Differin (another gel) on it's own. neither worked. my doctor put the two together and it's fabulous. i naturally have really bad skin but now it's clear.

Cons:

i'm not suggesting you use Clindoxyl, i'm suggesting you use Clindoxyl and Differin together. the combination dries out your skin REALLY BAD. find a good moisturiser, i'm still looking. also, very expensive. for me the two togerther was about 120$

-good for acne -dries out skin -very expensive for combination -prescriptions for both of them

Pros:

I've noticed that the acne has started to fade quite quickly.

Cons:

My face has gone as red as a tomato and my eyes are swollen.

This product does help, but if you have an important event to go to sometime right after you started using it and you have sensitive skin, you may want to re-schedule your important event.
