Ziana!!!!!

Pros:

easy to use
covered by my insurance

Cons:

super expensive w/o insurance
drys skin

I've been battling mild/moderate acne now for about two years, it started my junior year of high school & after using proactiv & not seeing any improvement - all i did was turn my skin a weird leather texture and dry it out SOOOOO bad, while still not fixing the problem I felt hopeless and made an appointment with a dermotologist. He prescribed me ziana, & a prescription lotion to use only in the morning along with washing my face morning and night with cetaphil bar soap. Now it's only been about a week but i think ziana may be working already!! :) it does dry your skin out though in the areas applied so i am experiencing some peeling on my cheeks where i rub it on every night but other than that no other side effects have occured yet. i've seen so many mixed reviews about it online, i hope it really does do wonders for me! although, it hasn't been long enough to really tell.all i know is that it is drying out the current pimples i have now & slowly getting rid of them!!

Pros:

Not irritating
Easy to use
Effective at treating both mild and cystic acne
Even skin ton

Cons:

VERY Drying initially
Takes time to work
Terrible initial breakout

Some background: I have very temperamental skin that is prone to normal, mild acne in some spots and massive cystic acne in others. Topical treatments have never worked for me. After a horrible breakout a few months ago, I was put on Ziana. Initially, I had horrible dry skin, peeling and a terrible phase of constant purging. I have been using this product consistently for about 7 weeks and I can honestly say it has made a huge difference. The areas that had mild acne are completely clear, and the last of my cysts are healing. Give this product time to work and it will. Now I just have to deal with some mild scaring and I will be good to go!

Pros:

Seems to clear my skin up for the most part. Not as harsh as other products

Cons:

Tends to dry my skin out and give me flakes here and there. Cost is more without coupons

Im a male 21 who lives in New York. I typically hav clear skin in the summer and spring but in the fall and winter i tend to break out. I used proactiv my whole life until 18 when i broke out VERY bad. I then went to my derm and he gave me Benza cyclin cream for the morning and tretinoin cream at night. I would only wash my face in the mornings with neut. oil free acne wash(orange gel). i would just apply the tret before bed. This cleared up my skin completely with the occasional break out, but made my face RED with morning flakes. It was too harsh. I used this combo till 21 and used proactive again that summer only for the fall to come now and start to break out again. I have been using Ziana for about 2 weeks now every night and have really not had any bad break outs, but all the discolorations on my chin will not go away. and i feel like im starting to get things there. Its easier on the skin then what i was doing and all-in-all not a bad product. I think i must give it more time

Pros:

bottle lasts a long time, like that its a combo therapy... didnt dry me out too terribly

Cons:

sticky, could only wear at night.... made me a bit oily when i put on in the morning

I used it at night in conjunction with aczone and antibiotics. My cystic acne cleared about 70% but something in my regimen left me with hyperpigmentation (im white). ziana definitely made my skin softer and i do believed it helped to some degree... starting accutane in 4 weeks because acne is mild but persistant. reccommend for those who have mild non-cystic acne

Pros:

Only have to use a tiny amount and only at night. Works quickly.

Cons:

I am a week into it and it is making me peel like a lizzard so my Derm has me use it every other day.

Its a really wonderful product although its A. Probably going to get worse before it gets better drawing out all the stuff under the skin and well the redness and flaking are annoying at first it goes away. Do wear sunscreen with this product! The peeling can make your face extra sensitive to the sun and make the redness worst or burn.

Pros:

Seems to be working so far, my skin is clearer that it has been in 8 months or more.

Cons:

At first my skin got worse, much worse. I went back to the derm because it got so bad. They told me to continue that the product was clearing out the bacteria in my skin. I have notice oily skin by the middle of the day.

Although I am now battling red acne spots on my face I don't seem to be breaking out nearly as much as I was. I do get a few small zits now and then. Before I would wake up every day with 2 or 3 new ones. Ziana hasn't helped any with the redness from the acne which I really didn't expect it too. Overall I am happy with this product.

Pros:

Has made my pores very small. Keeps me from getting any kind of breakout.

Cons:

only use it at night. Sunlight makes skin sensitive. My doctore told me that before i began taking the product. Great advice.

Since using this product i no longer wear any type of foundation or make up cover up, and ive worn make up since i was 16. I get compliments on my skin all of the time.

Pros:

minimizes pores and heals breakouts fast without over drying like OTC products can.

Cons:

kind of sticky, DO NOT GET ANYWHERE NEAR EYES...will completely dry out the skin there! some dryness.

start out small and work your way up. if your skin starts to dry out, go back one step. I started with every other night then went to every night, then used as a spot treatment in the morning. i've been noticing excessive drying and MORE breakouts but i believe that is because of the stickiness of the product added to increasing humidity, and the dryness due to over use. all things considered, i love it! it minimized the pores and redness on my cheeks DRAMATICALLY and for the first time in YEARS i go out with out makeup thanks to this product! i also love it because it heals the breakouts faster than ANY product i have EVER used (usually with just one or two applications). definitely worth a try if you can get your hands on the discount card for it!

Pros:

Evens out old hyperpigmentation scars and retexturizes skin. I love this because now I don't need to hide my face with makeup!

Cons:

Very pricey! I do not have a good insurance so my deductible is so high I'm paying retail price !

Clears up skin fast and makes skin smooth and even. I get great results .. I use it every night and also take spirolactone daily 25mg

Pros:

I'm not really getting a new ance.

Cons:

My face is a little red (not bad though). A little expensive.

I was so scared to try Ziana the first night because of some of the stuff I read on the computer..It's only been about 2 weeks of using it so far, but I think it is slowly starting to work. Hopefully I wont break out anymore!
