Pros:

-Just started and skin appears clearer
-Doesnt make face too dry
-Doesnt make skin ultra sensitive to the point of breaking and extreme sensitivity

Cons:

-Not seeing a huge difference like I had hoped but I guess I have to wait more

I wish that this would work faster! But I do see a difference and people have been commenting that I have clearer skin, but they also know I am on a regemin so I am not sure!

Pros:

I have only been using this for a month so far, but it is easy to apply, dries clear, has no distinct smell, dries fast, is only used once at night.

Cons:

So far, dries my skin, causing irritation, slight itching and burning, purging period is lasting a while!!

I went to the dermatologist on October 4th, 2012. She prescribed me ziana gel, which I am still using the samples since she gave me about 7 of them along with cerave lotion. I have been using this product religiously to this day, so for 27 days or so now. I am getting pretty frustrated and losing hope because my " purging period" seems to be never ending! Although I can say my fine lines have smoothed out. I know I must give this more time but I expected to at least see SOME improvement acne wise by now, but it just seems to be getting worse :/ is this normal? It's been a month already! Anyone have similar problems with good results ? Ha

Pros:

Brings everything out to surface.

Cons:

Brings everything out to surface.
Extreme purging.
Dries out skin
Makes skin itchy

My daughter has been using this product for over a month now. At first her skin went through extreme purging! Everything was brought up to surface. It seems as though her skin is no longer purging, like it was but it is not cleared up. We are going to give it one more month and then try something else.

Pros:

havent seen much improvement yet

Cons:

Sticky skin, makes my skin VERY oily, blackheads more noticeable.

I started this a week ago, and i havent seen any results except an oily skin. It makes my blackheads stick out even more. Hopefully waiting it out will work, i dont have patience and i hate acne! Im going to give it a try.

Pros:

the gel form is very mild and washes off easily. works slightly better than differin. i have been on 1 month so i can't really give a complete rating until around 3 months.

Cons:

So far the gel hasn't realy helped my acne, i have mild to moderate acne that just wont go away. Ziana so far has not made a major difference.

this may be good for mild acne sufferers and those how have had success on differin. I feel this does give faster results than differin. one noticable difference i did find was no initial break out, maybe this i because i have been on 3 different retinol gels in the last 1.5 years and my face finally got used to them. i would only recommend this for those who have mild to moderate acne.

Pros:

Makes my skin very smooth, with very little peeling. One tube will last a long time.

Cons:

My skin has gotten very oily from using this product. Takes a long time to clear the skin completely. It is pretty expensive too. I have good insurance, but I know not everyone does.

I have been using three weeks and my skin is starting to shape up. When I was using OTC products my skin looked dead and dry. I am 31, and OTC products made my fine lines look very exagerated. Now my skin has a very lovely glow and tone to it, and my fine lines are reduced. I look much younger in just a matter of weeks. The number of new breakouts is reduced; my old breakouts are still healing though. I am sticking with this and hopefully this will get my skin clear. I have been washing with Cetaphil liquid, using Ziana at night, and in the morning using a product prescibed to me called Inova, which are BP and SA pads. I am also on an oral antibiotic. I think the most important thing to remember is to only use a pea sized amount of Ziana. I bet some of the harsh peeling some people have encountered is due to putting too much on the face at one time. I have had very minimal peeling. I think this product is great for people in their 30s.

Pros:

Goes on easily
No odor
Didn't dry out my skin
Comes in a large tube that lasts a long time
Got rid of large cysts

Cons:

Significantly increased the oiliness of my skin
Takes a long time to work
Still get some pimples

I didn't get the dry, red, flaky skin that others have been talking about when using this product. I didn't get that at all actually. What Ziana did was greatly increase the oiliness of my skin overall - yuck! I had oily skin to begin with and now when I wear make-up I have to blot every hour. I have been using Ziana for about 12 weeks and haven't had any large cysts during that time, but still get random pimples that don't come to a head. They annoy me. Oh well.

Pros:

Inexpensive with rebate card, tube lasts a long time, non-drying, doesnt stain clothes. Helps speed up the fading of red marks.

Cons:

Isn't a quick fix but nothing is. Expensive after rebate card.

I have been using Ziana at night for 7 weeks. I also use Klaron in the morning and am taking 115mg Solodyn and 100mg Spironolactone. I had the Ziana in my cabinet for 2 months before actually using it because I was terrified of the horrible purging many experienced. I have a lot of hyperpigmetation and some scarring from cystic acne after my pregnancy. The regimen overall seems to be getting me under control. I have noticed my red marks fading much faster since I started using Ziana. I did not have a purging period but it didn't really clear up the acne I had either. Overall, I would recommend this product in combination with other oral medication and a morning topical for acne. Main highlight for me is that it helps fade red marks. Good luck!

Pros:

Somewhat controlled my breakouts.

Cons:

While I have always been on the somewhat oily side, Ziana made me excessively oily. So much so, that I could barely control it with powder or the blotting tissues. My husband kept stressing that I looked like a french fry. Very sad.

Hated it. Also, very expensive -- thank God I had a coupon otherwise it would have been too much even with insurance.
