Pros:

Works the first couple of weeks. Doesn't dry out skin much. Lasts for months.

Cons:

Expires too quickly. You can only get it with a prescription. Leaves white stuff on your face. Only works for the first couple of weeks.

I hate this stuff. I used it and loved it at first, but then it just suddenly stopped working, but I tried to put up a fight anyway and continued to use it until I finally gave up. What I also hate is that when you use it, you'll wake up the next morning and the cream will be dried onto your face. Although it's been years since I last used it, and it might've improved, I still don't want to give it a second chance.

Pros:

Reduces acne inflammation and works well if you have oily skin as the "dry skin" or "tightening" of the skin side effect is not as apparent.
It also helps dry up skin surface oil which can be a catalyst for more acne.

Cons:

It does not address the real root cause of acne.

Address the problem inside out. I am 100% convinced that acne is caused by a hormonal imbalance which causes an excess increase in oil production which gets clogged in the hair follicle, which is where the infection starts. You can tell by the appearance of the pimple whether it is hormonal or not ie. when the pimple hurts and looks like a red inflamed pastule/nodule it is hormonal. So treating this in conjunction with prescribed topical treaments is critical. Go to your doctor, do blood tests at the right time of the month to check your hormone balance. Spend the money and get expert advice. Consider the impact to your life - it is a small price to pay. It is a clinical problem unique to you. Don't get fooled by all the marketing product hype on which products are best. Your biology is unique to you and there is no "one size fits all" to this problem. DO NOT SQUEEZE - SQUEEZING PUSHES THE INFECTION DEEPER INTO THE SKIN, CAUSING MORE PIMPLES AND SCARS DUE TO BREAKING THE SKIN

Pros:

clears skin pretty well,

Cons:

makes skin dry,
takes awhile to clear existing acne,
gives you the runs, ew I know gross!

I've only been using this product for about a month until I ran out, I am going to be getting more soon... After I used it for a couple weeks my skin got pretty clear, but not completely yet. I guess maybe with time. The downfall is that once I ran out and stopped using it it gave me a bit of gross acne by my eyebrows and face and though I am a teenager I usually don't have acne like that in the first place. So that could be a problem. I'm going to continue using it and hope for the best. We'll see how it goes. I'm going to get a good moisturizer until then...

Pros:

It takes awhile to work (about 2 weeks until you see full results) but once it does it works very well.

Cons:

Dry skin

I've been using it for a few years and it's been doing a great job. The doctor said i would probably grow out of it and just these last couple months I have noticed it's not working as well as before, so i think my skin has finallky worked up an immunity to it. It worked great though for the past 5 yrs.

Pros:

The product works really well if used consistantly.

Cons:

It dried out my skin like no other! And after using it for 3 months my skin started to peel ALL over and there was no moisturiser or anything that would help it, so I stopped using it and ALL my acne came back worse that before, like 10 times worse.

It's a great medicine, I just hate the fact that because I stopped using it, my face, back and shoulders broke out 100000 times worse than my acne was before, I regret ever using the medicine and stopping using it. I would rather have the acne I had before Duac than the acne I have now. I'm trying to use it again, hopefully my face won't peel as bad.

Pros:

Clears up all acne, bumps, pimples and prevents problem areas from breaking out.

Cons:

Bleaches my skin... I have acne/pimple free skin, but now have white spots all over my skin, especially around my jaw line, where I had applied the cream.

I love it, although I do recommend using it in moderation.

Cons:

acne comes back after couple of weeks and I also suffer with psoriasis which broke out all over my face and on hands where I applied the cream,up until this point my psoriasis was very minimal.

would recommend using it for spots but be careful if you have any skin problems such as psoriasis or eczema.

Pros:

I'm in my 40's and still had reoccurring acne. I'm on a combined treatment - spironolactone, solodyne, topical glymed wash and BenzaClin. Use this once a day, and it keeps the spots away. My skin has a new texture and NO MORE BREAKOUTS!

Cons:

Very drying - but I use only once a day and right afterwards put Neutrogena oil-free-fragrance free lotion on. So, drying isn't an issue. Occassionally add a second treatment if I see a bump emerging. It is expensive!

GREAT IN COMBINATION w/ antibiotics, spironolactone and a glymed wash!
