Pros:

Works for me!

Cons:

Takes time.

Like the doctor will likely say, this takes time to work. I've been on practically every treatment but roaccutane, then I found this, and I've been *spotless* 99% of the time since. It's not infallible. I still get the occasional blemish, but I apply extra Duac throughout the day and it clears quickly. I've not noticed any bleaching, either. But I have bleached hair anyway, so I suppose I wouldn't! One tip for users... I keep mine refridgerated at all times.. it seems to work best straight out of the fridge. My acne was very inconsistent before I used this product, which was the main problem, it still is inconsistent in that my skin condition changes day to day, and spots seem to come from nowhere, but they go pretty quick, and I don't put this inconsistency down to the product but to my skin type. It took a few weeks to work. But for anyone at the end of their tether, not yet wanting to take the roaccutane plunge like I wasn't, this is very much worth a try!

Pros:

It works really fast, and i don't have to use it a much as prescribed.

Cons:

It does dry my skin out a bit but oly if I use it twice a day everyday out of the week. I usually use it once a day and maybe every other day depending on how my face is looking.

This stuff works, i used proactiv first and it was ok but when my doctor prescribed this to me it worked immediately. Makes my skin really clear and the dark spots that blemishes leave behind fades really fast after using it.

Pros:

I've only been on the med with my sis for 4 days and my face is much clearer. No redness or itching or any side effects but I am using a non-oil based sunscreen (Eucerin) for moistrue and protection.

Cons:

NONE

It's the only medication thats worked for me in years. I've tried every over the counter product for a prolonged time. I've tried oral antibiotics ,Tretinoin cream and even Proactive to no avail. I am very thankful my doctor prescribed this to me and my sister and we are both just amazed as to how well its been working. I've had acne for four years now and in four days my face has been seemingly revitalized. I recommend this to anyone with stubborn acne, it may be a tad expensive but it will save you face value in the long run ;p

Pros:

Works wonders for mild-moderate acne. Cleared my face up entirely in a few weeks. After a couple months you can cut application down to once a day and your acne will stay gone.

Cons:

None. Use a moisturizer with it and you are fine. Absolutely NO other problems with this product.

Go to the doctor and TELL, dont ask, TELL them to write you a script for Benzaclin. =)

Pros:

Works within days

Cons:

The possible side effects, but I haven't had them.

I love it, I've been using it for almost two weeks and the results in my opion somewhat dramatic. I suffered from acne for years and this stuff is really helping at clearing it up. My doc has me using this along with an antibiotic twice a day and so far the results are miraculous. I'm using the antibiotic to help kill the bacteria from the inside out (my doc's recommendation), and I wash with the neutrogena acne cleansing bar twice a day before applying the benzaclin. If you have acne you should definitely give this a try. Honest Results/Recommendation, Tee

Pros:

It works like a charm!

Cons:

If you miss a dose, you may break out.

I tried Proactive and Differin. Both didn't work!! Benzaclin worked extremely well...however, one month ago my doctor had me switch to Differin. My face is breaking out like crazy without Benzaclin. I'm going to call him tomorrow to switch back to Benzaclin.

Pros:

Worked like a charm!

Cons:

A little expensive without insurance, but it's not too expensive for me. And also may dry your skin TOO much if it is sensitive or not oily at all in the first place.

I started using benzaclin about 2 1/2 years ago. It did dry up my skin a little, and it was especially bad because I'm a swimmer and the chlorine takes its toll too, and also during the winter when it's especially dry, sweating, like from running may burn your skin a little. It has been nice not to have any oil on my skin at all though. And i noticed immediate improvements with my acne. I had moderate acne, but I wanted flawless skin, of course, and with the exeption of a few blemishes around my period. Beware though because a friend of mine tried my benzaclin once and broke out in this weird rash and had small, non-zit bumps all over her face. It lasted about a week too. So my recommendation is talk to your doctor and go for it, especially if you're looking to get dryer, less oily skin. Oh, but don't put your clothes on immediatly after putting on benzaclin, it WILL bleach clothes, oh and your carpet, don't spill it on your carpet.

Pros:

Clears up acne fast
Gets rid of big pimples
Works quick

Cons:

Sometimes drys white
May dry skin
Skin may feel tight for an hour or two

This product is the bread and butter of what I use on my face. It clears up acne and it stays clear. I have been off and on with this product so I could try out others but i always fall back on this one. Your skin takes about two weeks to get used to the drying that it does (after that your skin won't dry up much) but that's ok. So I recommend you use this stuff and get rid of your acne!

Pros:

Clears up acne

Cons:

None

I have used everything on the market and nothing has worked except for this. I have been using this product for over a year now and I have no problems with acne, except occasional (like when I go to sleep in my makeup which is entirely my fault). I constantly receive compliments on how pretty my skin is. I wash my face with a gentle cleanser like Noxema or a Microbead cleaser. I use Cetaphil as a moisturizer. You should definitely try this product. It is great!

Pros:

it clears my skin very quickly and prevents new acne from forming

Cons:

it has to be refrigerated, and it makes my chin a little itchy, but i think i just put too much there

this is the first thing ive used that works really quickly and doesnt irritate my skin, and i hope it stays that way considering ive only been using it a few days. i used differin and proactive before, differin worked at first but started irritating my skin, and proactive dries out my skin too much (even when usuing a moisturizer) and only improved my skin a little. i also used a neutrogena wave, which seemed to help, at the moment im out of the cleanser pads, but ill probably try using it with the duac. but continuing, with duac, there was a clear improvement after only one use. i use the cleanser and gel at night before going to bed, and that seems to be working, so i hope it continues to work well! and a lot of other people said it dries out their skin, but for me, my skin is only slightly dry, it was much drier before i started using duac. i really like this product and it seems to work well so far, its a big releif to see my skin clearing up!
