Pros:

- Helps alot with pimples
- lightens my acne marks(been using for about 2 weeks)

Cons:

- none really.

I'm one of those people who keep changing their regimen a lot, but i'm really trying to stick with this. I used to have moderately severe acne and yogurt(plain, mask everyday) got rid of that, but I still had marks and I would always get random pimple breakouts, and yogurt wasn't helping anymore (overused it). Anyways... here's is my new regimen and it's working really well:) - I mix in the baking soda in my cleanser(organic black african soap from ghana/cheap on e b a y) about 2-3 days out of a week (for morning and night/ sometimes only morning or only night. - I mix it in by getting a really good lather out of my face bar, then put some baking soda in my hands (about 2 quarters sized) and then scrub my hands together for a bit and then clean my face with that. - At night I put on lemon juice (from the bottles, I don't dilute it, but if you have sensitive skin it's 50/50 with water) - After the lemon juice dries I put on a homemade vitamin C lotion/serum(google it, it's just crushed vit c's with moisturizer) the best way would be to get L-ascorbin acid powder and mix it w/ water but till I get that i'll use vitamin c pills. Put only a THIN layer, this will burn a lot(the more you use it the less it burns) I DON'T recommend for sensitive skin unless you buy the powder and go slowly. - After the serum dries I put on emu oil THIN layer. REMEMBER : the less of things you put on your skin the better. Less will always be more. Good luck :)

Not bad at all :-P
I'm making cream like consistency out of soda and fresh orange juice and tap taping it into my T zone with contour brush (if I go outside T zone, my skin around is burned). I'm very satisfied by seeing 50% improvement of presence of my nasty pores just in couple of minutes :-)

i really notice a difference

Pros:

softer skin
reduces pimple rednesd and swelling
lighter skin

Cons:

haven't found any yet

I used it only once overnight. And I noticed a dramatic difference in pimple swelling and redness. I used a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda because I learned that the acidity in lemons help fight Bacteria and also help lighten the skin. So I applied the baking soda lemon juice mixture as a mask overnight and my skin is alot smoother and more radiant. And the pimple size went down. I'm definitely using this again ^_^

This is the best acne medication I have ever used. Previously I did Dan Kern's Regimen for 4 years and, even though it decreased breakouts, I still had a few. I have a hormone imbalance and it recently just stopped working altogether. I was getting frustrated and decided to try different methods. Last summer I tried baking soda which I left on overnight as a paste. My face started breaking out even worse so I went back to the regimen. When I started working in lab my acne got really bad and my skin was very oily. I don't know if it was because I was working with bacteria or if it was stress working with my crazy PI. Anyway, I decided to give Baking Soda a try again. At first I just used my finger to apply it, and I saw a reduction in acne. I then decided to apply using a cotton ball. Bad idea, I think it exfoliated my skin too much and my acne got worse. So I went back to just pouring about a teaspoon in my hand, wetting it a little, and then slapping it on my face. This is what I do 1. Wet face 2. Pour some in my hand and wet with a little water. I make it a little watery. 3. Apply to face. I only let it sit for about 30 seconds before I wash it off and I don't rub it in too much. I read somewhere that if you let it dry it exfoliates the skin. 4. Apply copious moisturizer. I do this in the morning and even and my face just feels cleaner all day long. If you gave up on it, try different methods because everyone's skin is different and the time and amount used might vary. Unlike BP, it doesn't bleach clothing. The Regimen ruined a lot of my nice dress shirts and bleach almost every towel and pillow case I own. I love baking soda. Now I can wear colored dress shirts again!

Pros:

Skin looks and feels brand new
Redness and scarring significantly reduced even after only one use
Gentle, natural exfoliation
Minimizes pores
Helps control oil production

Cons:

Somewhat drying

I was shocked by how beautiful, glowing, and brand new my skin felt and looked after using this. I have been dealing with flakiness, oiliness, and small blemishes all over my face. The texture of my skin is now night and day different. Flakes are virtually gone. My pores are noticeably smaller and oil production has calmed down. I can't comment on whether it heals acne, but it has calmed current blemishes significantly. I mixed a couple pinches of baking soda with my facial cleanser (CeraVe), gently massaged, and rinsed to find that my skin had dramatically improved. Definitely do moisturize as my skin did feel a little tight afterward. I plan to use this a couple times a week at most for exfoliation. Give it a try!

Pros:

After just two uses my skin feels incredibly smooth and my blackheads are truly fading. Dead skin is peeling off easily. This is amazing. I'm so happy! :-) Lol, I've tried just about everything. My acne days may finally be over. Please try it.

Cons:

It stings/burns in the beginning. You may feel like you're making matters worse but within about 5 minutes the stinging will go away.

Bottom line is I beg of you to try it, lol. I know first hand how frustrating acne can be. I've tried one product after another and I've never gotten such quick or satisfactory results. I'm going to continue drinking plenty water and eating right to prevent breakouts but I officially swear to the use of Baking Soda to clear it up if any do occur. I'm 19, african-american, and have medium skin. If it can work for me it can work for you. I recommend this product to everyone. Don't over-do it, use it sparingly and you will see results. I recommend once a day or once every other day depending on the severity. My acne is moderate, with more blackheads than anything. But soon I'll be acne and blackhead free. Do yourself a favor, if you've tried everything there is out there, give this a shot. You will see a difference. Arm & Hammer would be the best brand to purchase.

Be careful please! :)
Baking soda has two main uses: house cleaning and baking.. and it does these two things absolutely wonderfully. However, skin is a very delicate thing. Baking soda may be (and I assure you, most definitely is) too harsh for acne prone skin, and skin in general (especially your face). Less irritation is the key to clear, healthy skin. Please, please be gentle with yourself. I remember talking with an acquaintance of mine one day (I had been helping her with her acne problem and providing advice -- she asked this of me) about her skincare and what she was doing. Her poor face was awfully red and dry and she told me that she had been using a baking soda mask for about 15 minutes 4-5 times a week. It was a horrid experience for her so I advise that anyone who is thinking of trying this method, proceeds with the utmost care. Best of luck to each of you!

There's been nothing like it for me
So I have oily skin and a bad habit of touching my face. I'm 17 and I've had acne for years now. I remember using baking soda at 14 I wanna say, off and on. Ive tried a bunch of different skin cleansers, washes, whatever you want to call them. Gentle, foaming, exfoliating. But these past few months I've been using it a lot more. I decided this past month and a half to really give it a shot. Since baking soda is abrasive and impossible to use on its on, i mixed it with a gentle face cleaner that only really got to the surface. The cleanser I chose still got kind of foamy and had a whipped consistency. I rinse my face off in the morning, then when I get home from school, I use it. I use it once again before bed, especially if I went out again. I don't get big pimples anymore, if i do they're tiny and pretty flat. They only show up where I touch my face. I also use Clindamycin Phosphate, a topical solution that my doctor prescribed to me. I've been using that for about two weeks. It's an anti-bacterial that has also helped a lot. Before that I used an astringent with 2% salicylic acid in it. I wouldn't recommend that because it was too harsh, I feel. Some tips id recommend is using warm water when washing your face and to not touch your face. I wouldn't recommend baking soda if you have dry or combination skin. Maybe in certain areas or once a week to every few days. Any scaring I had is fading away and my skin looks crazy glowy. It's clear and you can't even notice acne unless you look for it. Baking soda is incredible and Ive never had anything that's taken care of my acne better.
