Pros:

-Cost nothing unless you dont already have baking soda at home
-Makes ur face feel oil free, clean and soft
- Very easy to make and use
- Dries out your pimples and cleans our your pores

Cons:

- Messy but worth it
- When you get some in your mouth when washing it off your face its very nasty!

I have moderate to severe acne, along with sensitive skin. I do this mask once a week or so I mix it with water and put a good amount all over my face for a minimun of 10 mins sometimes up to 20 mins. I'd recommend you do it before your shower because it does get into your hair but its super easy to rinse out. It makes my face so smooth and clean feeling, I love it especially if your like me and wear makeup daily. Your makeup applycation will go on smoother after this facial. My face feels just as soft and clean as a $30+ facial that i've tried before... So I totally recommend trying it at lest once.

Pros:

It doesn't sting, it doesn't smell bad or leaving a burning feeling like most acne medications

Cons:

It's a little itchy on me

I sorta gave up on acne meds cause some of the scrubs, cleansers, toners, and even moisturizers use chemicals that recently became too harsh for my skin. So after accutane, proactive, murad, clean & clear, neutrogena, clearasil, differin, clinique, and many others, I decided to go natural. See how that works. So, I've been using this product for about a week. It really does help out with scarring and dries up the pimples. I mean REALLY dries them. But sometimes I wanna see my skin clear so badly I believe it's working when it might not be, so I get my little sister to be the judge on that.

Pros:

Makes skin feel fresh, gets rid of oil on face, makes pores feel tighter, makes acne scars less-noticable.

Cons:

Stings/burns face the first couple times, may irritate face the first time you use it, bad taste.

Mix it with water to make a scrub and wet your face first, then scrub your face with the baking soda mixture. Wait until it dries on your face[you will feel your pores tighter and your face will probably be tingly/stinging], rinse it off with warm water, pat dry with a towel, then splash cold water on your face to close your pores a bit more. That's what I do and I saw results the first few days. Do not expect to see results after the first day if your acne is more severe, but your face will feel a lot better, trust me.

Pros:

- shrinks blemishes over night
- great exfoliator
- great mask
- tightens pores
- makes skin very smooth
- lightens acne scaring

Cons:

- can be drying

My skin is normal/dry and can become flaky if I don't exfoliate or moisturize well enough. My favorite ways to use this is as a spot treatment or for exfoliating. For spot treatment, just make a paste out of it with water and apply to your blemish. It will literally shrink your zit to nothing over night (even for the big painful nodules)! I usually don't rinse the paste off, I just leave it on till it dries up and crumbles away. If you use it as an exfoliator, make sure you do it very GENTLY! Otherwise, it'll make your skin pink/red and irritated. It makes your skin look glowy and smoooooth! This product has helped my moderate acne become almost non-existent. I don't give it all the props for my acne clearing up, but it has really helped.

Pros:

Soft skin
Clears skin
Great cheap exfoliator
Brightens skin
Dries out acne fast
Fades hyperpigmentation

Cons:

Can be a little messy when it dries and flakes.

I have been using Baking Soda (known as Bicarb Soda here in Oz) off and on for a few months but recently I had a massive cystic breakout on my chin and jawline and this week I started using it daily in an attempt to get rid of this painful and disgusting breakout. I forgot how amazing Baking Soda is. In a few days my large cystic lumps are getting smaller and smaller and are less red and aggravated. I use it two different ways: First way is to make a paste by putting a teaspoon of BS in my palm and then adding a few drops of water and then I smear it all over the acne or whole face depending on what needs to be done. I leave the mask on as long as I can before it starts flaking everywhere. I then usually jump in the shower and wash it off. Sometimes when I wash it off I gently rub it in to give a good exfoliate. If I do that the skin can tingle or sting a bit but the result is baby soft bright skin. The other way is I mix a small amount of Bicarb Soda in a cup of hot water and let it dissolve. Then I put it in a spritz bottle and keep it in the shower. When showering I will give the face a good spritz and leave it for a few minutes and then I wash it off. I highly recommend you giving it a try, just don't rub too hard when exfoliating at first as you might be surprised how effective this fine white power can be; eg too much pressure and it can feel like you're using steel wool ;) .

Pros:

reduces acne scars
tightens pores
smooths skin
eliminates cysts over time

Cons:

over drying

i used to have extremely bad persistent acne on my jawline which resulted in many acne scars.the cause of this was a combination of milk and fish products so when i cut those out all i had to do was eliminate the scarring which was not a pretty sight. i started washing with baking soda twice a day mainly focusing on the two areas and my cheeks which were covered in blackheads.A month later i have two very slight hyperpigmented spots where before it was about 20 noticeable ones on each side of my jawline! Not only did it eliminate my scarring but it helped with future break outs as well! I dont really recomend using it around your mouth though for it made two dry spots on either side of my mouth which are pretty irritating but other than that it works wonders for acne scars!!!

Pros:

smooth skin
pores smaller
brighter and even skin

Cons:

stings for a while
leaves skin dry

started using baking soda about a week and a half ago, morning and night. it has helped with the redness and made my skin soft. it has also made my some of my acne marks less visable.it does sting but just for a while and the warm water helps sooth it. though it gave me great results it is not for people who have dry skin or senstive skin. if you wanna try it but have your skin is dry or senstive try in a small area, and have a good mositerizers.

Pros:

•Makes skin smooth
•Starts working immediately
•Cheap & easy to apply

Cons:

•Dries out skin

About a week ago, I had been over the top stressed. I started breaking out pretty bad and finally bought a box of baking soda. Ever since then, my skin has improved very much so! :D In the morning I wash my face with baking soda (with warm water to open the pores), and then I close my pores using lemon juice & a cottonball. If my skin is kind of dry, I put on a little moisturizer afterwards. Works like a charm! I recommend this to anyone who has pretty bad breakouts. I also use the baking soda on my body. Not really the lemon juice. Works just as well. Remember: you must be consistent! Good luck :)
