Really helps bring down inflammation
Aspirin masks have treated me so well! Have done this (crushed up a few aspirin and mixed with water to apply to face) for like 3 years now. It's not some kind of cure, but it takes down inflammation quick and quite effectively, so when I get a breakout and my face is red and irritated, I love doing this mask to calm my skin down. It is drying, so afterwords use your regular toner and moisturizer or whatever you typically would do.

Pros:

exfoliates
reduces redness of pimples
heals quickly
no dry spots but i have oily skin

Cons:

Burns

Its amazing!! my acne was pretty bad. i didnt like to go out in public when i had a breakout. now when i have a breakout its just a little one. i use lemon juice instead of water it works great! BUT if you have sensitive skin i would not recommend using lemon juice with it. i also use moisturizer either lotion or olive oil. which also helps with my oily skin! i do this twice a day, morning and evening before bed. Good luck!

Pros:

Cleared my hormonal acne after only one use!

Cons:

None

I used this the night before last for the first time after reading reviews on here and it has really helped - I can't believe it! I suffer from bad cystic spots around my time of the month but they have all reduced dramatically in size and redness after just one face mask! Two days later and they have almost disappeared. I used three crushed aspirin with some water, aloe vera and honey, which I left on my face for 15 mins. I felt pretty silly at the time but when I washed it off my face was really soft and clear. I hope that this treatment continues to work! Will come back when I've been using it for longer and let you know.

Pros:

Major difference in face condition in one usage! The stubborn acle that I had decresed in size!

Cons:

Do not use everyday, I hear that it soaks into your skin and can make you sick and also, it dries out your skin.

First: You place 1-3 [NO MORE THAN THAT] in a small bowl Second: You SPRINKLE [if you add too much, it depletes the purpose of the grainy texture] water onto the pellets. and some honey for moisture <3 or aloe vera. Water works just fine by itself. Third. Smush if needed Fourth: Apply to face and avoid eye area. Fifth: Try not to get it up your nose Sixth: leave for about 15 min. Seventh: Wash off with water while slightly scrubbing for exfolition. 8th: Use toner to get excess off. [you don't want this stuff on your face all day!] 9th: USE A MOISTURIZER WITH SUNSCREEN! uva and uvb. [This stuff makes you most sensitive to the sunlight by about 50%!] 10th: Enjoy. This product is really great! just don't use it everyday

Great For Swelling
If you have cystic acne this is a great treatment as it helps to ease swollen or irritated skin. It also helps with other forms of acne, it just seems to do the most good with cystic acne. It's great if you're travelling and don't have access to other facial treatments as it's simple and easy to whip up. By the way if you don't have any aspirin I found that ibuprofen works too. For my aspirin mask I take 1-2 aspirin and dissolve them in some lemon juice then mix in a bit of tea trea oil. I apply it to my face with a cotton pad and then leave it for as long as possible (if I'm short for time 20 minutes will be sufficient). It isn't the strongest treatment in the world but it's effective enough and I like that it's all natural.

Great, but don't use too much.
I really do like this mask. It's not a miracle, but it works. However, it can be very drying to skin. I put it on after my shower and throw in some raw honey. I notice that after letting it sit for about 15-30 minutes & then rinsing it off that my skin looks better and the size of any bumps on my face are largely reduced. I follow up with a moisturizer. I have VERY sensitive skin and this didn't irritate my skin at all but I have noticed that without the honey it really dries out my face. Also, overuse can be bad because it will eventually stop working.

Spot treatment
I don't often use the aspirin as a whole face mask, but rather as a spot treatment. Shrinks spots and kills the redness like a charm. Very drying of course, so I use this method sparingly' but it's cheap and effective!
