Pros:

Calms inflammation
Smooths skin
Prevents new acne

Cons:

if used too often, will stop working

I used to crush up aspirin and mix it with a tiny bit of water and spread on my face, and it worked pretty well. I started doing it around 4 times and week, but soon it stopped working. I would recommended, but dont do this very often at all.

Pros:

Redness reduced 80%
No new cysts
No large whiteheads
Puffiness reduced 80%

Cons:

None

Holy Cow, can't believe it. My son's poor red bumpy face is now smooth and calm. He stopped using the outrageously expensive Rodan and Fields regime after one day of using nothing but aspirin crushed up in water twice a day. It was like he had a raging fever on his face and all he needed was to bring down the inflammation. The puffiness I thought was part of his baby face is now greatly reduced. Thank you to everyone who recommended this.

Pros:

-Easy to make
-Inexpensive
-Makes skin smooth as a baby's bottom
-Dries out exisiting eruptions quickly

Cons:

-Tad bit messy

I dissolve four aspirin in a tablespoon, then add a few drops of honey. I gently rub the paste onto entire face - leave on for 20 minutes. As I remove, I gently exfoliate. I've been doing this daily for roughly 2 weeks now and my skin is smoother, brighter, and 'clean' looking. I'll continue with the daily use until I feel mild breakouts are under control - then I'll decrease usage to 3 or 4 times/week. Great mask!

Pros:

•The mask makes skin smooth and even looking for the day
•kicks pimples OUT of sight
•Exfoliates very well
•Very cheap

Cons:

•Overuse can cause real skin problems
•Tends to be inconsistant in results
•Overuse can make the mask lose efficacy
•Some are allergic to aspirin applied topically but won't know it til they try the mask, and then they are sorry
•If not mixed with something else besides water it will make you sneeze your butt off!!

I really like the aspirin mask, I just wish I could use it more often. When I do use it, my complexion looks smooth and even and it rids the redness of any pimples I might have at that time. An excellent mask for those who "pick" for it heals pimples fast and can lessen the redness of acne scabs (sorry to be gross) BEWARE tho'. Overuse will irritate skin in a weird way.

Pros:

soothes the skin and brings down redness and inflammation, esp. when you use it with some aloe instead of water!

Cons:

none!

I've heard so many wonderful things about the aspirin mask, so today I went to the drugstore to buy some. Ever since I moved to Cali my acne got worse...the dry atmosphere and smog do NOT help :( I've tried sooo many different acne products and have probably wasted 100's of dollars. WOW! After 1 use the redness from my acne went down a ton and every blemish was smaller in size. I have super dry skin (fair, blue eyes, red head) so I made sure I moisturized plenty afterwards. I'm doing a 2nd one right now before bed...can't wait to see if I have more results in the morning :) I still follow a regular skin care routine, now using non-comedogenic, natural skin care products, even honey for my face! This will be a great mask for those pesky random flare ups. You've got nothing to lose, open your medicine cabinet and give it a try!

I don't use it all over my face, just as a spot treatment. If you get the aspirin wet and put about a quarter of it onto a zit and then put a band-aid over it and leave it on overnight, it draws out the zit and dries it out, leaving a dry little red spot that is easily covered and goes away in a day or two. This way, you don't have to pick or pop your zits so you won't have scarring! It's literally an overnight remedy. And, my mom buys aspirin so it's always in the house and accessible.

awesomeeee... fastest method... everyone must try
I have been applying aspirin mask just from last 5 days... and not even a single popup is there.... i have never reviewed anything on internet... but when anything helps you this way... its a sin not to appreciate it... Go ahead frndz... mix 6-7 aspirin tablets (disprin in india..just rs5 for 10 tablets) with one tablespoon of water and apply the paste(some may call it a peel) on your face evenly..let it dry for 10 mins... then wash it off... You can see the results even in 12 hours off application.... Thanks everyone....have a try..

GREAT
I have been using an aspirin mask for the past 5 days and the results are truly wonderful. I have tried every product under the sun for my oily/acne prone skin and this is far and away the very best investment , not only is it dirt cheap-it works! I think the reason the previous reviewers didn't like it was because they used it with vinegar, which I think is way too harsh to mix with aspirin. After a bit of experimentation I've found that yoghurt is the best base, (vinegar, too drying) aloe vera is ok, but yoghurt (has lactic acid) counterbalances the slight astringent effect of the aspirin and is nicely moisturising. More importantly it is hard to make a decent "mask" with water and vinegar, you need something gloopy that will stay on the skin, water based aspirin masks flake off rather messily. instead crush 5 or so tablets into a powder with the back of a spoon or dissolve them in a few drops of water, and then add a little natural yoghurt,(maximises the efficacy of the mask) massage on in circular movements (it feels grainy, like a scrub) and leave on for 15 mins . When you have rinsed it off you should have really soft & smooth,fresh-looking skin. It also calms redness & heals acne scars ,and overall balances tone.
