Pros:

it seems to refine at the beginning. I felt like my face was sooo clean.

Cons:

It doesnt last long. I have been on it for almost a month and havent really seen a change. I have blackheads and whiteheads that I cannot seem to get ride of. I dont know if i will continue.

Products do not work as well as the people say that it does. I dont think it works any better than over the counter clearasil or nutregena products!

Cons:

none

I ordered this product about a year ago, but was afraid to use it because of all the negative reviews. So instead I've spend about $1500.00 on expensive products at a skin care center. Well about a month ago I just could not afford to buy from the skin care center, so I said what the heck I have the proative in my cabinet, I'll just try it. I wish I had done this a year ago my skin has never been so clear. This product dis work for me and I love it. My skin is clear and soft. But I also do use a good mositurizer. I highly recomment it.

Pros:

Keeps skin clear, Works fast, Doesn't dry out skin, Quick and easy to use

Cons:

None!

I've been using Mary Kay before, and that cleared my acne, but it dries out my skin and doesn't clean thoroughly. I always go back to Proactiv because not only does it clean thoroughly and get rid of every trace of dead skin cell there is, but it doesn't dry out my skin at all. Plus, it's a 3-step process that doesn't take more than 3-5 minutes, so that's a plus for me in a busy school morning.

Pros:

Worked well for 5 years on my mild acne. When it stopped working for me proactive refunded all of my money.

Cons:

Didn't help when I developed severe acne and actually made it much worse.

I used proactive since I was 16. Until 21 this product appeared to help keep my mild acne at bay. My skin wasn't perfect 100% of the time, a blemish here and there but nothing too bad. Then 1 week before school started my face exploded. I kept using proactive, thinking that it had to help, it had in the past. But my skin continued to get worse. After washing, my face felt raw and I dreaded the burning that came with applying the toner. My skin began to flake and at one point cracked and bled. That's when I went to a dermatologist. She diagnosed me with severe cystic acne, after my life of pretty clear skin. She gave me moisturizer and a gel that has 5% dapsome as the active ingredient, along with a prescription for antibiotics. Bottom Line: Proactive works well for some and not for others and that can even change for a person from year to year. Proactive is worth a try because of the 60 day money back guarantee. However, I would not recommend it for people with severe acne.

Pros:

Works well for me, it kept the acne away quite nicely.

Cons:

Skin is very dry. The more moisturizer I use, the dryer it gets. My skin is dull, sensitive, and I just look at a light bulb and get freckles. It is also a longer regime before bedtime than I like.Started using twice a day, then once, still dry.

I am switching back to my previous skin care. I had occasional breakouts on it, but the rest of the time, my skin felt and looked great. I have found that you have to find what works for you. Try it, other products, and pick the one that works best for you. This one worked for me as far as losing the acne, but the other effects just aren't worth it.

Pros:

It made my pores smaller and softened skin. They have good advertising because it's the only thing off the TV I have ever been sucker enough to buy!

Cons:

Still had the same amount of breakouts. Time consuming. Expensive (small bottles).

I've been using the stuff for about 3.5 weeks and I haven't really noticed a difference. It seems that the breakouts moved from my jawline to my cheeks and they seem to be redder and more obvious. I don't want to say this product doesn't work, but it hasn't worked for ME. I haven't used it long, but I don't know that I want to risk being able to return it. It's very time consuming and pretty expensive considering it hasn't shown me much of a difference from Clean 'N Clear...lol! Good Luck!!!

Try taking a handful of pantothenic acid every day before you do anything else. A researcher discovered that megadoses of this B vitamin can cure acne. It's cheap and readily available without prescription. You have little to lose but your acne.

I started this product around 6 months ago for mild acne. It took a couple of months to work, but I had clear skin for a while. Then, all of the sudden, my skin got REALLY dry, and I got red bumps on my forehead. I tried some other things, but eventually started using proactiv again...big mistake. I woke up the next morning with swollen eyes and itchy dry lips. Even though the product worked at first, I still developed an allergy. Use with caution!
