Pros:

The cleanser exfoliates my dry skin-

Cons:

seriously..the stuff burns my skin- does not help prevent breakouts

I would recommend this if you need a good sink cleaner or something. It burns my face so badly, bleached the towels I wiped my hands on, and the hoodie I wore. Wonder what it does to your skin!!

Pros:

The product helped my skin for about 3 years. i would only get one or two pimples on my face that was easily controlled.

Cons:

But.. after 3 years proactiv ruined my skin.. i had uncontrollable breakouts all over my face and the medicine at the dermatologist barely help out.. it's been about 2 years since i last used proactiv. and my skin still does not look good.

If you want something that does the job temporarily then you can use it but I don't think the side affects to the product is worth is since I'm still dealing with it. I think proactiv makes your skin a bit immune to a lot of topical acne solutions.. I think I'll end up with the last resort and getting prescribed accutane

Pros:

*gets rid of acne COMPLETELY if used for at least 3 months.

Cons:

*smells *make skin feel itchy *makes skin VERY dry *takes a LONG time to get rid of acne *if you forget to use it for just one day, you'll breakout like CRAZY *makes face look red *expensive as hell

NOT WORTH TRYING ! i have VERY bad acne on my face, and it didn't do much. just made my skin flaky, itchy, and red. My mommy still uses it, and it works GREAT on her; but she BARELY have any acne on her face. I guess it depends on your skin type and how sever your acne are. Works better on people with less acne.

Pros:

For someone who feels they have to scrub the crap out of their skin to get to clean, then it's good, but that's the only good thing about it.

Cons:

It worked for like the first three months I used it, then it just seems to stop working. Even sticking with the system it tells you to use doesn't seem to do anything. Can't believe I've wasted my money on this for so long.

Sucks.

Pros:

There was a little improvement for a few months...Then it went to hell. The refining mask is all that worked for me if I left it on for 10 minutes, not the entire night.

Cons:

Once you stop using it you get HUGE pimples that stay under the skin and hurt, it dried out my skin even with the moisturizer, it made my face very red and very sensitive.

It's up to you, I mean it worked great at first but then it didn't. My fiance uses it but only when he has a breakout and it works for him (but he also uses clearasil for men) so I don't know which product it is. But...Yeah, this is entirely up to you if you can afford it, but BEWARE - I canceled my order and they KEPT SENDING ME IT AND BILLING ME.

Pros:

none, (except i got it for christmas so i didn't have to pay for it.)

Cons:

Pain, Redness, Dryness, and Worse acne.

It made my face BRIGHT RED, and it burned for over an hour. I ended up crying the whole time. I had an ice pack on my face and I layed in the dark. Also, after all the pain, my face only dried out and I got more acne that i started with. P.s. i only used a small amount. (aka. reccoment dosage.)

Pros:

worked quickly on my oily skin- left it clean, smooth, and clear.

Cons:

After nearly 2 years I realized that the wash was bad for my skin because it made my blackheads worse-and my skin around my nose was rough. One day i woke up and had huge, red scars on my face-it left my skin WORSE in the long run.

Do not use this product. It gives quick results but does years of damage to your skin in the long run. I'm in college now and have to deal with acne and scarring which has lowered my self-esteem. Proactive is not worth it.

Pros:

Easy to Use
Did clear up acne

Cons:

Dried out my skin
Made my face burn and sensitive
I have wrinkles that I never had before

I do not have very oily skin, but had very mild acne. After using it for 6 weeks, my skin is extremely dry, flaky and burns. Around my eyes I now look like I am 50, instead of 30. And the area looks like snake skin. I have never had very sensitive skin, however now, anything (including makeup) I put on my face burns. If you are young and have oily skin, I can see where this product would work. However, if you are older, have normal to dry skin, please beware that your skin could dry out even more and cause wrinkles to look worse.
