Pros:

+the first product that works for me
+a complete line of products (makeup, scalp shampoos, skin lightening product, sunscreen, moisturizer, body wash)
+diferent formulas of product, gentle formula, regular formula or extra strength)

Cons:

+expensivee
+dry skin

I think proactiv it`s a good product, the first that really work for me... I saw a very noticiable improvement in my skin after 3 weeks, but with first weeks you will see an improvement. After 2 months my skin its really clear, i was only the marks.. I used this product for a year and the only problem I had was dry skin, but nothing a good moisturizer can fix... Proactiv works for me, i can ´t said the same for the additional products, because I live in mexico, and they are only sending the principal product, but would not hesitate to try them

Pros:

-Cleared most of my acne after a while
-Made my skin look and feel better in general
- Not much drying at all

Cons:

-First month acne actually got worse
-Took a long time to clear up most of my acne (4 months or so)
- Can burn a bit
- Will discolor towels

I hear a lot of people rip on Proactiv for being overpriced or not working. I also hear people say it actually may make acne worse. This is partially true- my acne got worse for the first month or so. Then it soon started to clear up pretty well. You also have to really keep up with it. I found that if I missed just one or two applications I'd break out within a few days. If you can handle the slightly high cost and make sure to keep up with it, it works. At least it worked well for me. I also had no issues with flaking or drying- my skin is actually smoother and looks overall much better (even my girlfriend has noticed this). I imagine it just comes down to how your skin reacts, as we all have different skin. It worked well for me and I will keep up with it as long as I can afford it. Don't be discouraged by all the whining and negative reviews. Give it a try for a few months and it just might work!

Pros:

gives skin a glow
pimples much smaller
skin is softer

Cons:

Causes eye sensitivity (area around the eyes got very dry and woke up with puffy eyes for the first week)
expensive
Not enough lotion

Takes a while to work. I hate to break it to ya, but there is no miracle cure that's gunna make your acne go away after 1-3 days. You have to give it time. This product irritated my skin for the first week and then I started getting used to it. Those in which this product haven't worked for, probably aren't doing something right. First of all, try to avoid foundation in general. Even non-comedogenic. I know it's humiliating for everyone to see your acne but give it a few weeks and you'll clear up. Second, use a natural shampoo and condtioner. Oily ones with silicones and what not will make you break out. Thirdly, try and eat right and exercise. No need to be anal about it but just try and improve your diet and exercise.

Pros:

- Makes my face feel good
- makes the acne less noticeable
- seems to get rid of acne

Cons:

- Time consuming but most products are
- Runs out quickly

I have been using this for about 2 maybe three weeks. I noticed at first it took away the minor or just starting to appear acne. Then over the past few weeks I've noticed I've started getting less and less. Theres just a few bad ones now. I also recomend using the rare minerals with it as a coverup in the morning. It seems to really help with more problematic zits. My acne is on my chin (gone), little bit on my nose (gone) and a lot of my forehead (nearly gone) I have used Acne Free (generic kind) and the creams my doctor perscribed with no success. They only dried out my skin and irrated it. The proactiv (using it 2 times a day) has kept it pretty moist. I'm pretty happy with it so far but am still a little bit skeptical. I'm hoping it will work like the commercials say :)

Pros:

I can feel it working, and when I break out every day I can feel the breakouts shrinking and drying up.

Cons:

I've been using it for about 3-4 weeks now and recently I just broke out like crazy, so idk.

The first 2 weeks I started using it I didn't have any breakouts and it kept my skin feeling clean and acne-free, but out of no where I broke out so badly in about 4 different places on my face, and if I've been doing a 5-step treatment every morning and every night, I dont understand why that would happen, and I feel like I'm the only one who's had that problem. I'm just hoping if I continue to use it it will hopeully stop the chances of me breaking out again.

Pros:

It really does work, and you get perfect skin. It takes a while to start clearing up the acne, but after you pass that phase you don't break out anymore at all (not even during that time of the month).

Cons:

You can't stop using it. If you stop, you're skin is worse than it was before you used it. I used it for about three years, then when I stopped, my skin broke out worse than it ever did. My skin became very rough and I ended up going to a dermtlgst

Use it if you're desperate, because it DOES work, but just be prepared to use it for the rest of your life. Otherwise, there are probably less "addictive" measures to take to clear up the acne.

Pros:

Smell is fine. Left my skin super smooth and moisturized. No burning, flaking, or itching whatsoever.

Cons:

None that i can think of.

I'm a 15 year old female. I've used Benzaclin before. It was only a one step kind of thing and it did make my skin dry. I tried Proactiv and right away my skin was smooth, clean, and moisturized. Everybody's skin is different and it'll effect everyones differently. For me I had zero burning, itching, or flaking. As I said before, I've used a similar product so that may be why I haven't experienced that with Proactiv. I only just started this, but so far it's amazing. My parents noticed a drastic difference in my skin in just a couple of days. I only have mild acne; I broke out on my chin and a little on the sides of my face. So far, for me, this product is amazing and I absolutely love it. Some say that it was horrible; they broke out more than they did before using it and they had unbearable burning. They may be allergic to it or they may have very sensative skin, both of which I do not have. You have to take everything into consideration. You won't know until you try. Give it a shot.

Pros:

Worked Really well to clear my acne, made skin look and feel alot better.

Cons:

Acne returns after a short while if you stop using product.

The products worked really well for me, I found them kind of expensive, but am willing to pay the price because they work so well. Unfortunately they are not a permanent cure, and you need to continue usage or else pimples return

Pros:

I really like this product. I have mild acne with occasional breakouts. With this product I have had fewer breakouts and they clear up much faster. Also, I have serious blackheads around my nose are almost completely gone.

Cons:

This product is slightly expensive and it does take time for it to work. You don't see instant results. I didn't at least. It took about a week to notice a difference in my complexion.

If you can afford the product and have the patience to give it time to work, it is definitely a great product. I would recommend it to anyone. It has worked great for me.
