Pros:

Money back guarantee (except for the shipping!)

Cons:

Doesn't do a damn thing.

A few years ago I'd been using a prescription benzoyl peroxide product (Duac) that had worked very well for a long time but had recently lost some of its effectiveness (either that or my skin had just changed and gotten worse). Unfortunately this coincided with me being up late one night and catching a Murad infomercial. I am seriously a sucker for infomercials so I ordered the entire system and within a week after I began using it my acne got REALLY bad. I don't think that something in the Murad caused my skin to break out; it was mostly the fact that I'd switched from the Duac, which was moderately effective, to something that was not effective at all, despite all of its slick advertising and packaging. And the worst part was I believed them when they said it would get worse and then get better and kept using it for way too long which caused lasting damage in the form of red marks and scars. Don't waste your money! Btw, the positive reviews seem like they're written by Mu

Pros:

Initially very good. Not a cure for my acne but certainly the best I've tried. The best thing about it is the way it leaves my skin feeling really clean & unclogged.

Cons:

I have fair, sensitive skin and I have to use Murad very carefully, otherwise it dries-up and burns my skin. Recently I have had very nasty breakouts - most likely caused by Murad.

After several months of use I can say this stuff definitely works but it has not completely cleared my acne, probably because there is no way I can use as per the instructions. I use it now about twice every fourteen days, any more than that and it burns my skin, and recently has caused some really, really bad breakouts - spots that look terrible & take literally weeks to clear up. I don't think these spots are 'purging' but seem to be a nasty reaction of some kind. My advice is try it - but be careful.

Pros:

Makes your skin feeling soft.
Reduces Redness

Cons:

Small bottles
Purging period was/is horrible.
You must do it twice a day.

I would, but you have to be patient and take the time to use the product everyday. And if you have a purging period, be patient, it only lasts maybe up to 2-3 weeks.

Pros:

It makes your face feel very smooth. It eventually starts to reduce your acne scarring. Easy to use!

Cons:

Too expensive
Purge was a bad one
Too small

Be ready for the purging, but it will get better and I recommend it to anyone with very bad acne, not normal skin.

Pros:

after a wash, your face is tingly and feels minty fresh and clean. i love that feeling.

Cons:

well where do i start?
dried skin, not enough repair lotion, major and severe breakouts, flaky skin

i started out with a few pimples here and there, for some odd reason i felt like switching to Murad. bad idea. this is why i'm here, and how i got my severe acne. it was all over. don't buy this.

Pros:

I've noticed all reviews are only over 30 days. I know it says three weeks on packaging, for clear skin, but it takes longer than that. Like. for me it was 6 months. And now I don't get a pimple. EVER.

Cons:

Takes a long time to work, expensive.

If you have the cash and paitence for it, try Murad. I used Demroclogica before, and It made my skin worse. Murad cleared up the flaky skin and such, and I really liked it. The moustrizers is reallly nice.

Pros:

refreshing scent makes your face clean smooth and soft

Cons:

they should make there bottles bigger not enough product to last you 30 days

the purging sucks but after the purging clears you have soft smooth healthy skin BUT it takes more than 4 weeks to clear your skin. i still have dark spots and have been using this product for 5 weeks.

Pros:

Price is decent compared to other products, but that might be due to the fact that it's sold in smaller quantities. Has a great cooling effect when cleanser is applied that makes it seem like the product is exfoliating your skin.

Cons:

Made skin worse and caused me to break out almost as bad as the first summer I experienced acne and was put on heavy antibiotics. Product made my skin consistently irritated and actually was physically discomforting for the full two weeks I used it.

It's important to remember that there is no cure all for acne and that just because a product didn't work for me it, it can't work for someone else (or vice versa). I have tried three line of products with Proactiv being the first, Skin Perfection MD second, Evolution X (surprisingly good product) third, and Murad fourth. In order of what worked best for me, Proactiv seemed to fluctuate and actually made my skin worse in the second year I used it. Evolution X made my skin (about 90% clear) better, but I know there's still a product that can help me with over 90% effectiveness. Murad comes in dead last with Skin Perfection MD closely on its heels. I've never used a product with such poor results, but that's not completely unexpected since using a product is part of the research process involved in this unfortunate aspect of skin health. I recommend not to buy this product anywhere expect the official website in order to insure you are warranted your 60-day money back trial perio

Pros:

I startred using Murad as a last ditch effort to get rid of the adult acne I aquired at 25. It works wonders and within 3 months my face has done a complete turn around. I'm so glad I tried it!! The post acne scar treatment works great for scars too.

Cons:

It is expensive for the treatments but I think the price is worth it for clear skin. Also the consitancy for the treatment serums can be sticky and burn you're face if you have sensetive skin.

This stuff is expensive but if you can afford it it's worth the try. I didn't get my first breakout until I was 25 but when it came it was horrific and cystic. I don't have an issue with price so I bought every skin care acne kit I could get my hands on from proavtic, to clinique, este lauder....you name it I tried it. Nothing worked. Murad has cleared my face up in 3 months and I've purchased the vitamins and I'm now taking those every day. I'm so glad I tried it even though I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone and if you have sensetive skin it may be a bit to strong for you to use.

Pros:

The spot treatment worked well

Cons:

Made me break out even more and gave me blackheads on my nose, chin, and forhead.

This product is not worth buying, it made my acne go from 2-3 pimples to 10-20 and caused blackheads when i didn't even have blackheads to begin with. And i've only been using it a week now.
