Pros:

- The kit comes with a moisturizer, unlike ProActiv and some others (its a good one too).
- The cleanser smells and feels nice.

Cons:

- If you miss a treatment, you're screwed.
- The toner smells like glue and feels weird and sticky on your skin
- Expensive. $30 + shipping for a month's supply? No thank you.

I was using a Clean & Clear astringent whenever I had major issues and moved on to this for better control. It worked SLIGHTLY better, but wouldn't any 3 step system, 2 times a day compared to my usual 3 times a week or so of a 1 step, $7 product? I find it just doesn't work much. Nothing horrible about it but for that price, don't bother. I'm using ProActiv now with much better results. In fact, the Clarifying Mask for Murad seems very similar to ProActiv's Refining Mask. Although it has a whole lot less sulfur, which is the active ingredient.

Pros:

The only good thing about this product is that it makes your skin soft.

Cons:

Causes more breakouts on top of the ones you already have. I should have listened to the reviews on youtube and not bought it. Do not use this Proactiv worked better than this junk!!!!

This product does not work do not spend money on this junk!!! It makes you break out more. It does make the breakouts feel soft though LOL.

Pros:

None of it smells too strong. The sulfur spot treatment works well.

Cons:

Not enough lather in the cleanser, the salicylic acid gel doesn't work well at all. The moisturizer made me itch.

Not worth the money.

Pros:

Worked a little, reduced spot size but didn't stop new spots from coming.

Cons:

Didn't really work all in all

I've used this for 3 weeks with no improvements, so I'm going back to Benozyl Peroxide.

Pros:

IT WORKS!!!

Cons:

I wish the cleanser came in a HUGE pump bottle so I'll never have to go wothout it.

I've been using this line for about 2 years and am ecstatic that I finally found a product that works after trying every prescription and over the counter products out there. The cleanser takes of every trace of make up that when I use the toner I didn't see any make up on the cotton ball at all. When I run out and have to go wothout it for a couple of days to a week, I start seeing little pimples creeping up in a couple of days or so. Then I start usig it and it completely clears out my face again. I wouldn't have the clear skin I have now without this product. Proactive was not for me; I found it too drying and my skin actually hurt after applying it to my face. This product is so gentle it feels like you have nothing on your face yet it works.

Pros:

I noticed a reduction in the large pimples, and the overall quantity of acne on my face

Cons:

Expensive, especially once you buy more than the tester kit. If you aren't diligent about using this twice a day (because maybe you get a little lazy like I did) then it simply won't work and you won't see any results

I've used proactive, i've used neutrogena and now I use Murad. Bottom line I found is Murad works the best for me, but I really have to eat healthy, no fried food, because a skincare product can only do so much, the rest of the acne comes from whats on the inside.

Pros:

cleared up large spots

Cons:

peeled with toner noticed more blackheads

I have had pretty bad acne, I was mortified by my larger spots so I geuss a few tiny blackheads aren't as bad. Proactive made my skin peel way worse. I like the wash better than that weird creamy stuff. Moisurizer made me look fresh as a daisy. Now breakouts rarely happen.

Pros:

Smell good almost like green tea, doesn't bleach clothes, and has a clean feeling.

Cons:

Purging, but doesn't seem to get better.

So I basically used Proactive for about 2 years, and I heard about Murad and decided to give it a try. Now when I use Proactive, I saw results, but I still broke out a little here & there yet my skin looked better than what it used to look like. I had got Murad and tried it smelled really good, and it didn't bleach my clothes like proactive though. Know I know I would go through a purging stage before my skin got better, but that wasn't the case for me. My skin got even worse I had cystic pimple all on my cheeks and I would wake up to about 50 whiteheads everyday. It was very painful. After about a month and a half of using the product I decided to back to proactive and it cleared it all up again except for now thanks to Murad I have severly bad scaring on my face that I have to get fixed surgically!

Pros:

Didn't dry out my skin..wasn't as expensive as other acne products but then again didn't work on me so still a waste.

Cons:

The "toner" or exoliating gel or whatever it's calls smells like vinegar. The moisterizer on TOP of the acne repairing lotion kinda rubs into a peeling consistancy. Doesn't happen when I use the moiterizer alone. Made my acne worse!

I had almost gotten clear after about a year of severe acne using Clinique Acne Solution.. Then I decided to try Murad to finish up the job. For the record.. I did not quit Murad when the purging process began. I was well aware I'd break out a BIT... I gave this product 90 days when I should have stopped at 4 weeks.. I broke out after about 3 weeks.. got cystic nodular bumps all over my chin. I then broke out on my cheeks which I never break out on. And my forehead got a few bumps as well (I haven't had zit on my forehead in ages) I kept using it thinking it'd get better but it only got worse and now I have a mess on my face. The last few weeks of using Murad I noticed my skin felt inflamed and itchy after application. That's when I realized it was doing more harm than good. I stopped usage yesterday and switched to a product with benzoyl and my skin is slowly recuperating. I'm sure this works great for some people. Simply did not for me..I say try for yourself.

Pros:

Fresh feeling
Calms skin down a little
Skin a little smoother?

Cons:

Relatively pricey
Isn't really consistent in helping acne

The Murad Acne Complex kit helped me the very first time I used it when I had one or two pimples here and there and it helped keep my skin clear. But recently I started to get acne...not just one or two pimples and the regiment wasn't effective enough to really do anything. This is sad cause my acne has gotten pretty bad lately. :(
