Pros:

Nice glow
Deep cleaning

Cons:

Can make acne worse
Burrns and itches sometimes

I used to have pretty bad cystic acne, bad enough to tturn heads and people would ask what was wrong with me. I saw murad on tv and gave it a try and it worked! Used it for about four years and loved it. Couldn't afford it anymore so I stoped using it for 8 months until I started to break out just recently. This time it only worked for the first week then stoped! I seriously think they changed the formula...murad used to put a piece of paper in the box that would state each product name and the ingritients in it. Well they don't do it anymore so somethings up! I still like the acne complex face wash and lotion but that it.

Pros:

Cleared up skin temporarily

Cons:

Very strong scent, makes skin sting the first couple times you use it, makes you break out even more than before, very pricey

I've had acne since 6th grade and I am now in high school. I saw the commercials for this product and I thought, "Why not give it a try?" I have literally tried EVERYTHING. So I went out and bought it at Sephora at my local mall. I was very excited to try this product. But I have to say I am very disappointed with it. The first time I used it made my skin sting & burn like nothing else I've ever tried. & to make it worse it made me break out even more than I usually do. I've used it for 4 weeks now. Even though I've tried sticking with it, I can NOT do so anymore. I am so mad about what this product has done to my face that I'm considering to throw it all away. I bought the Proactiv Deluxe package last night & used it & I can say that after one use, it's had a much better effect on my skin than Murad. Bottom line, don't get it.

Pros:

Helps even out the tone of your skin, initially the results are great

Cons:

Doesn't do what it says--clear your skin.

This product may work at first and help even out the tone and feel of your skin, but it simply does not clear it. I've had -- by a dermatologist's standard -- "mild" acne for the past 3 and a half years, and it has not yet gone away. I used this product for 11 months and results fade in and out from good to poor. The bottom line is that this regimen is overpriced, results are unpredictable, and it just does not clear skin.

Pros:

At first acne went down . Big pimples don't come out as big.

Cons:

White heads get more bigger/nasty , got acne were I never use to get it. Started to sting a bit. Acne everywere on face : cheeks ,forehead, chin, nose, around lips,

Have been using it a bit over a month and acne changed from little white heads and big ugly pimples to not as big pimple but more and bigger white heads and red bumps. Good results at first then- big and saddening disappointment .

Pros:

Smells good. Leaves skin soft.

Cons:

Made me break out. Expensive.

I've seen the commercials, so I decided to give it a try since Proactive didn't work for me. After 4 weeks of using the treatment, it made my whole forehead break out a lot. It might have worked for some people but it did not work for me.

Pros:

was OK

Cons:

not great

i used this for about a year because i thought it had worked the best of anything i had tried before. i finally stopped using it because i wanted to keep trying products to see if something else helped better. i would recommend this to someone who has mild acne because it does seem to help the small bumps but not the big cysts or whiteheads, and it does make your skin smooth.

Pros:

Conveniently packaged together as a set, helped fade red marks

Cons:

Acne gel stings the skin, essentially BURNED my skin upon intial usage, eventually made acne worse (went from moderate pimples to cystic acne), expensive, could only find at Sephora, no SPF protection

Don't waste your time with this. I switched to the Murad kit after seeing the informercial on TV. Don't fall for it like me. The first two weeks were HELL. But, according to them it was a normal purging process, so I didn't give up. It did get better, but I eventually developed cystic acne which I hadn't ever really dealt with before. I have been using this system for about 5 months and though it has helped fade my red marks (or perhaps that was just due to TIME), it has made my skin worse. I went from having occasional pimples to full blown cystic acne (at my worst 5 cysts which had to be injected with hydrocortizone). I'm a bit upset I didn't do my research before wasting my time with this, but I'm also relieved I'm not the only one who has had problems with this system. I am going back to BP, even though I hate the bleaching factor about it. Please don't buy this product. Not only will it sting and burn your skin with it's chemicals, it may cause cystic acne as well.
