Pros:

None

Cons:

Sore, dry skin.
Extreme flaking.
Taught pink skin.
Swollen face.

I used this product as I hadn't read any reviews (I really wish I had). After just one days use my face had swollen up, I could barely see out of my eyes and I looked as if I had been beaten by a professional boxer. I was put on medication by my doctor that left my house bound for three days. My skin is still hyper-sensitive and peeling after 10 days. Not a pleasant experience.

Pros:

It sounds professional. The bottles are very nice.

Cons:

This product is horrible on the commerical they say take the 4 week challenge and you will see results bullsh*t. I used this products everyday twice a day for 3 months and I didnt see any type of results period. On the commerical they dont even tell you what the main ingredients that targets the acne in their system. You dont know tell you get it in the mail.

It does work please dont ever try this stuff. Murad cost way more than Proactiv and it doesnt even work better than Proactiv. If you see this commerical change the channel their 4 week challenge doesnt even work it just makes you skin worse. Take it from me I use it everyday twice a day for 3 months. The mask they give you is so watery too. At least I can say Proactiv gives you results and the mask is awesome but the bad thing about Proactiv is that you still break out with a pimple or two even though you use it twice a day everyday. What I am trying now is Dan's Regiem because I have tried everything and nothing keeps it clear for long. So wish me good luck.

Pros:

none, honestly.

Cons:

smells horrible, drys skin, makes acne WORSE, takes too long to put on.

I wouldn't recommend Murad at all. I tried it for almost 2 months just to give it a chance. It has made my acne worse. I am at that teenage acting stage and hating my skin.. I would not recomend it to any other teens. It is very harsh. You have to do it twice a day and it takes FOREVER and smells HORRIBE. If you buy it----you're wasting your time, and money.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Cleared my skin for the first 2 weeks I used it, but then after a month it made my skin much much worse than it was before.

After a month of using this product, it made my skin worse than it has ever been. I thought I should keep going with it, to see if it would eventually clear my skin up in the long run but my face just kept getting worse. I got zits in new places where I never had them before, and my chin broke out worse than ever. I'm still working on getting my skin back to normal.

Pros:

The mask is amazing. Total favorite.
My skin cleared amazingly. I generally have no acne left. I'm still on it though and have been for 2 months.

Cons:

- Lotion doesn't hydrate enough. I had to layer it on my nose.
- It's expensive but to me it was worth every penny.
- Honestly it's impossible to use it twice a day. That's probably why a lot of people's skin was irritated and didn't clear. I used it once a day, and the exfoliating gel once every other day. It did burn, but the burn goes away.

I have a question. If your acne is manageable, and light, and if you're a girl you can simply cover it with makeup, why bother changing your regimen? I used to have really bad acne, so I'm thankful for what I have now. All I can say is to try it, you know what your skin can take, what works well for it, and what doesn't. But if you don't try it you'll never know. I read every single one of these a few months ago and still ordered it. No one says anything about my acne anymore, because I basically have none thanks to Murad. <3 Also, I imagine the ones that have the "none" cons, probably Murad workers. But then the ones talking about proactiv are probably working for them too. Which brings me back to my question, "Why bother changing your regimen if if gives you satisfying results?"

Pros:

Doesn't contain BP which is so bad for skin. Might have worked- I couldn't use it long enough to find out.

Cons:

dries your skin out like the gobi desert. Is pricey with expensive shipping. Makes your face fall off. Contains hydrogen peroxide which is a known carcinogen.

I was attracted to the idea of the product at first because it has no BP and claimed to not dry out your skin. What a joke! I used it for only 3 days, by day 2 my skin was SO dry and was literally peeling off my face like a snake shedding it's skin! I thought "this can't be healthy" and after reading the reviews here and on other independent sites I was too scared to continue use. I just couldn't see using something that harsh long term. It would burn slightly and make my skin red when I applied it. I had to apply moisturizer like 9 times in one day and it still didn't help the dryness. Hope I can get a hassle free refund. My skin is normal to dry, never oily so maybe for people with oily skin the drying aspect would be a good thing, I don't know. Maybe it would have worked to clear up acne, I didn't stick with it long enough to find out, but it just didn't seem healthy for my skin. Sort of like pouring bleach on your face twice a day. Oh yea, and the website does not give a list of ingredients so I found out after receiving the product that it contains hydrogen peroxide which damages skin cells.

Pros:

It works! Love the moisturizer.

Cons:

It takes awhile (6 months) to clear your skin.

I've suffered with acne for 18 years. I decided to try Murad because I was tired of ProActiv bleaching every fabric it touched and it didn't get my skin 100% clear. Murad did! It took several months, but my skin is smooth, glowing and totally blemish free. So stick with it! It will eventually work! The Murad oil-absorbing sunscreen is wonderful too.

Pros:

-Leaves skin very soft
-Gives you that "clean" feeling you look for after using it.

Cons:

-Lotion doesn't hydrate enough.
-A little pricey but totally worth it for me.
-Can't use twice a day... once is enough for my skin.

I have struggled with acne my whole life. I'm almost 23 & I figured I would have grown out of it by now...I was wrong! I have tried everything out there, even going to the dermatologist & nothing has worked. Some things worked for awhile then they would stop. I was to the point where I just wanted to give up. I saw Murad Acne Complex on tv & figured I would try it. I did research b4 I bought it & I found both negative and positive feeback. I went to Ulta & bought the kit. I was a little shocked how expensive it was but I knew it would be cheaper than filling prescriptions each month. I have been using it for a few months now & I love it. (Keep in mind that i've been using this for about 3 months & i'm still on my first kit.) It makes my face feel so clean & radiant. However, I only use the face wash & lotion once a day...after I shower. My skin is very sensitive & over the years I have found that if I wash twice a day it breaks out even worse. At night I use Noxzema's Clean Moisture Makeup Removal Cloths. (Guys can use these too, it's not just for makeup removal!) I dont really use the spot treatment b/c it didnt do anything 4 me. I have never felt better about my skin. It did take about a week for my skin to get used to it & start working but after that, it did its job. I do tend to get a bump here or there if I fall asleep w/ makeup on but after using Murad for a couple days, its usually gone. And when I do break out, its not one of the painfull red bumps that you think everyone is looking at. Everyones skin is different. I was skeptical at first b/c there were so many negative reviews but it has worked for me. I know they sell it at Ulta & Sephora. If you are skeptical, call b4 you buy it & see what their return policy is. I know some stores will give u a refund if u dont like it. You can also buy the items individually so maybe just start out w/ the face wash. You never know until you try. I can honestly say, I will be using this product for a long, long

Pros:

First product I've used that doesn't dry out my face. Great lotion. Honestly, I think the other girls on here talking about how it dries out their skin are just not meant to use it, just like I wasn't meant to use ProActiv because I had a bad reaction. It seems to be working for me, so no complaints.

Cons:

Expensive for my taste. Wish it came in bigger bottles.

I've been using this system for over 2 weeks now. I didn't even make it 1 week with ProActive, so this is a nice change. My skin redness has been noticeably reduced and I am getting less and less pimples everyday. Woohoo!
