Pros:

None

Cons:

Makes acne worse
"Purging" effect never went away
Dries skin
etc.

In all honesty, I used this product a year and a half ago for a little over a month. I should have reviewed it ages ago as it was a terrible product but I just never got around to it. At the time my acne was manageable, light with the occasional breakouts but I was sick of getting these mild breakouts so I decided to try Murad. After the first week my acne got noticeably worse but I expected it as they said there would be a "purging" phase so I stuck with it. In the second week I started noticing types of acne I've never had before such as tons of whiteheads and blackheads. In the third week I was positive it couldn't get any worse and that the acne must start getting better now... that wasn't the case. It was cystic acne ALL over my face in every spot and this was very very demoralizing, I wasn't sure what do do until I finally just gave up on it and threw it away. This treatment had made my acne from a few spots on my face every once in a while to an acne onslaught that... a year and a half later I am still having troubles clearing it up. It took me around 6 months after the treatment to "fix" what Murad had done to me and by fix I mean manageable. I highly recommend not using this product, and if you ever hear the term purging, please note that it should not make your acne terribly worse and it should not last for more than a week max. Currently, my acne oscillates from very light to moderate depending on location and season, but I noticed the products that helped my face the most was drinking green tea (very effective for the first 2 weeks - reduced acne from moderately severe to moderate) and using a gentle skin cleanser like cetaphil. Stevamycin is also a very effective product.

Pros:

Smells Good
Clear acne in one week
easy to use

Cons:

the purging effect
expensive
on the spot treatment tube not very much of it

I use murad for a month and it work for only a week. Then thats when I thought the purging effect was taking place, well it wasnt at least for me it wasnt. For the last month in a half I have more pimples then I ever had before even my friends notice it. If murad works I believe it to be the spot treatment and the mask only working. Because when I was out of that stuff my acne was breaking out left to right top to bottom. Never happen before. So murad I hate you at least proactive lasted for two weeks instead of one

Pros:

The cleanser is very cool. it is very soothing to the skin. Also the skin perfecting lotion was very hydrating.

Cons:

At first, i thought it was going to clear my skin. The first week is good, because it made my skin firmer. But the following weeks it made my acne worse! Breakouts come all over and it is ridiculously uncontrollable, but i still continued it to the fear that it would get worse if i stop it, but, it made my acne way more worse than ever.
The exfoliating gel is very irritating.

Try it. If it works then you can post good reviews about it but if it makes your skin worse, then you'll be like many who are posting bad reviews about this product.

Pros:

No skin irritation
Easy to use

Cons:

Doesn't work
Waste of $$$ and time

This is not a great remedy for acne. As much as I wanted it to work it didn't do anything positive for my skin.

Pros:

Noticeable decrease in acne breakouts

Cons:

After using Murad once (the three step process) a few days ago, my skin is so irritated, dry, SWOLLEN, and RED!!! It's so much worse, I would trade 3 acne breakouts for the terrible feeling my face has right now. I do not have sensitive skin AT ALL, and I am suffering from this product. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they recalled this product.

I will never recommend Murad, don't listen to the ads on TV, Murad will not decrease redness (it will induce it!), it IS like all other acne products that dry out your skin, except worse because it also makes your face swollen! Yes, Murad will decrease your pimples, but it will do so painfully. I put Murad on two nights ago for the first time, I woke up this morning with a swollen, red, and itchy face. My face is still itching and I just know my face will only get worse because I keep having to touch it! I am not the only one, look up alergic reaction Murad, and you will find a plethora of people like me, who have oily/combination (but not sensitive) skin who have had this type of reaction. Please do not try this product.

Cons:

Eveythinggg! especially the price!

I was really hopeful to use this product. I've tried so many different products; nutrogena, acnefree, clean &clear, olay, st.Ives, ect. I've been using murad for about 3 months now, and my skin is literally so much WORSE! I'm getting acne everywhere on my face now, even where I didn't have acne before! I hate it! I'm going to send it back & get my money back!!

Pros:

I liked the moisturizer.

Cons:

It doesn't work. Period. It may somewhat help acne from getting totally out of control, but it will not clear existing breakouts or stop new ones from happening. Plus, its super expensive and I didn't like how the product felt on my face. P.S. The "spot treatment" might as well have been water. Seriously.

Please don't waste any more of your time or money and just try Dan's regimen.

-used for couple months made my face worse than ever before. it made it the worst. literally

I'm telling you right now, this thing has made my skin worse than ever before. I'm a real person it seems like people who are posting good reviews about this regimen are fake or just murad workers. I feel like such a victim bc it's literally killed my social life and now I have no confidence and am not outgoing. I have half a mind to file a lawsuit against this company bc their products are pure bs. Virginia Tech lost to Boise St. couple days ago.

Everything!!

This is the worst treatment i have ever used. I have been using this treatment for almost 3 months, for the first couple of weeks my skin cleared up, but then... i started breaking out like crazy, all over my face, and my skin started flaking (peeling off) the gel burned and made my skin extremely dry, itchy and sore, the moisturiser is not hydrating, i have stopped using murad and hopethat my skin will recover it is dull, dry and still very itchy!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! If you are like me and still buy these product after reading these terrible products DON'T it will ruin your skin!!! I guess the search for a wonder acne treatment continues!!....because this most definately is not!
