Is the redness and itchyness part of the process?
Hi, I started using this 2 days ago. And my face turns so red and very itchy, but I can see that my acne did clear up. I'm just scared that if i continue using this product it might harm my skin.. is that part of the process or shud i stop using this?, Thank you

not for me
it worked fine until after awhile it stopped working like it used to. It cleared up my acne but it made my pores more visible and my skin really dry and flaky.

Works for some time
This acne clearning system cleared my skin for a little while but eventually stopped working. It took about three-four weeks for me to see improvement. After about five months of using it my face was worse then ever and it didnt help me at all. In the end, I would not recommend this product. It provides only temporary results.

Not for sensitive skin!
I thought the cleanser and the toner were good but the repairing lotion made my face very dry. I even tried reducing the amount I put on as suggested on the bottle but it was still very dry. In some parts of my face I have been peeling and having dry patches because of this lotion. I tried a lot of things but its still very dry. HELP!?

not for me..

Pros:

works for some skin types

Cons:

caused major inflammation of existing acne
caused more allergic sensitive break outs
cost is not too bad, but I have found much cheaper ways to treat

I have acne that is largely caused by sensitivity to chemicals.. both in what i eat and apply to my skin.. instant irritation with most man made products.. this product caused more swelling and inflammation for me. However, I gave it to my mom who had great results with it.. so, may be worth a try.. Walmart sells an Equate brand of this product that I haf bought for my mom to try and it did not work as well. I have found only natural, I mean as in 1 ingredient, baking soda, whole foods is whats right for the type of skin I have.

Help?

Pros:

Softens skin

Cons:

Kinda drys out patches on skin

Well I have been experiencing acne for awhile now and nothing seemed to work.so I went out and bought acne free treatment and I don't know what to think I have had it for about 5 days but it says on the box results in 1-3 days I don't really see any results yet but I think I'll keep using for another week because people have seen dramatic results in 2 weeks. I don't know am I expecting too much in a couple days?

So far so good

Pros:

Light smell
Effective
The toner makes my skin feel clean

Cons:

Dry, flaky patches
Itchy feeling
Red patches

I've been using the sensitive version of the product and it feels as if I'm using the severe version! It's really really harsh on my skin and my skins becoming very flaky and dry around my mouth area. I have been using it for about almost a week now. I'm assuming it's because my face isn't use to it. I've been using aveeno products before this. I started breaking out along my chin and jaw line. Not so much everywhere else. I have a really bad break out on my chin I've been trying to get rid of for months now. Since I've started using this product, all the cystic pimples came to a head and I was able to pop them. All the little bumps also came to a head. It works really really fast. But it does dry out my face a lot. I use bare mineral makeup to cover up the blemishes and throughout the day my skin gets very oily. So far it's doing the job. Hopefully I see better results in a couple weeks! This acne is really embarrassing.

Effective but harsh

Pros:

Works to get rid of acne

Cons:

A lot of money
Harsh on sensitive skin

I do like this but I thought I didn't think I had sensitive skin. I bought this at cvs because my friend recommended it. My acne has decreased but the area on both sides of my mouth are irritated, dry (flakey peeling), and a bit swollen. I regret not buying the sensitive skin package. I obviously can't return it and I'm not going to waist my money and buy it again for $20. I'm very disappointed

Pros:

-Can buy at almost any drugstore
-Affordable
-3 step system

Cons:

-Doesn't clear up acne completely

This product worked fairly well on my skin, preventing further breakouts. I absolutely loved the AcneFree Redness Relief but it has been discontinued. I like AcneFree products over Proactiv because it seems to work faster and more effectively. I rate this product a 7 because I have seen a difference in my skin overall and has kept any new acne at bay. Hoping by the end of my third month for a completely clear face.

Pros:

Smells okay no fragrance
Cleans well
Toner feels nice
Application is easy

Cons:

Didnt really clear skin
Lighter skin tone
lotion is not a moisturizer

I am a African American teen with inflammatory acne all over my face that I have been dealing with since the 5th grade. While acne free promised to deliver it did not. The 3 step system is time consuming and the lotion needs a moisturizer so the 3 step system turns into 4. It felt fine I had no adverse or negative effects I just didnt see major results. It helped my skin with evening out skin tone and cleaning my oily skin but other than that it did nothing. Maybe I should have gotten the severe kit. *Shrugs*
