Pros:

Noticable improvement in just 3 days! Inexpensive!

Cons:

Is every strong! Made my face very dry at first. Also, a burning sensation & redness occurs. I stopped using it twice a day & now use it once a day. That has helped! My skin looks healthier & even shows signs of repair already. I like to work with things before I give up completely. I may have to use it every other day sometimes, but I will not give up on yet.

So far so good!!! May not be for severe acne people.

Pros:

clears up acne

Cons:

maximum strength is not necessarily the best

I used the AcneFree Severe for about a week and a half. At first it felt nice, and my acne actually cleared up quite a bit. However, the 10% benzoyl peroxide is a bit too much for your skin, and after a week it was red and I had a skin rash all over. My friends asked me why my face was so red and I didn't know what to say. It was so flaky! Maybe if I kept using it my skin would get used to it, but for now I'm stopping.

Pros:

Controls acne and you can feel it working. Also, soaks up the oil in my skin which I had trouble with my whole life.

Cons:

Doesn't take away scars and can dry skin up fast.

This is a pretty good products, but there are better ones. I f you have mild acne it is likely to work better on you. But if you have severe acne it is not recommended to you. You must see a dermatologist first and get what the prescribe you to. If it turns mild after that and your tired of going to the dermatolgist and pay alot of money, I recommend you use it. Please remember to use it for at least a month to show results before you quit. I happed to learn my lesson about quitting face products too soon.

Pros:

I started using this kit in October. I used this kit with Acne Free's mask, which didn't come with the kit, but on the box it said u could use them together. Anyway, Acne Free made my acne a little better, mostly making bumps smaller and less noticeable. But it did not clear my acne. It is pretty strong. Don't put it near your eyes, it will burn the skin.

Cons:

It is now January and I am still using it and it's not working. I am giving up on this and trying to find something better. It stopped working about 1 month in.

I DO NOT recommend this to anyone except someone with mild acne. DON'T BUY IT! Huge waste of time and money

Pros:

Stops your skin from getting new pimples (mostly).
Doesn't dry out face too much.
Not expensive at all.

Cons:

Doesn't actually rid my face of the pimples, only keeps me from getting more.

I used the clear formula of AcneFree, in the tube, and have tried the 3-step AcneFree products, but they have not worked for me. The clear one may work for some people, and also the 3-step one may work for some people, but these did NOT work for me. I first used the AcneFree Severe 3-step formula for a few months, and it just made my face more oily, and I kept breaking out (the pimples weren't going away!). Then I switched to the "new clear formula", and have been using it for about a year.. It does not get rid of my acne, but the only reason I'm still using it, is because if I go off of it, I know I will break out. Plus, it does nothing to help get rid of the oil on my skin, and my skin is really oily. I use it twice a day, once in the morning, once at night, and I'm very strict about staying on a routine with whatever products I use. My face doesn't have a problem with being too dry, so strong or harsh products are not a no-no for me. All in all, I would not recommend this product to someone with oily skin, as it won't rid your face of the oil. In fact, when I wake up, my skin is so oily that I have to get a paper towel and rub it. I don't know if it's just me, but.. I suppose this product is worth a try, since it is not costly, like many acne treatments.

Pros:

-helps dry out acne
-cheaper than proactive
-can buy it in stores

Cons:

-dries too much; moisturizer barely helps
-too harsh
-didn't completely solve the problem

This product helped for a while, and then I began to develop cystic acne, which I hadn't had before. It kept my acne under control than just a basic unmedicated cleanser, but overall was too harsh, drying, and didn't do the job well enough even though I used it for a year for lack of anything better!

Pros:

cheaper than Pro Activ

doesn't bleach out faceclothes like Pro Activ

Cons:

Can't find it in Canada

slow results

I was a die-hard Pro Activ user for years then it stopped working. I never had acne as a teen, my acne started when I approached 30! Here I am creeping up on 40 and dealing with acne - ug! Bought this while visiting the U.S. once and noticed an improvement, but had to stop using it because I can't find it here. Going to the U.S. next week and hope to stock up. My son who is 11 is struggling with pretty severe acne already, tried Cetaphyl but no luck. I think I might get him to try this product. Anyone know if it is ok for kids his age?

Pros:

- Good value.
- Easy to find in stores.
- Clears moderate/mild acne.
- Better than proactive.

Cons:

- None really other than it only worked temporarily (personally) which is a problem I have with my acne, its stubborn.

I bought this kit for about 4 months and used it religiously. It was suggested to me by a cosmetics associate in CVS pharmacy. I gave it a shot since I didnt have much to lose. It worked well for the first couple of months, and when I gave a review on their website, they sent me a free full sized kit as a gift! Which I enjoyed. Unfortunately, my acne came back eventually since its stubborn. Overall, I was really surprised by the results. It claims it is better than proactive, and it its true. I would suggest this to people who have less stubborn mild/moderate acne. It's a good regimen

Pros:

Easy system
Worked very well at first
Moisturizer heals very well
Relatively inexpensive

Cons:

Does not necessarily kept skin completely free of acne over time
Dryness may occur
Moisturizer made skin oily (for me at least)

I have been using this product for the past maybe 2 years to fight my never ending acne battle. I was actually a very faithful customer simply because it was cheap, it worked very well at first and it kept my acne from flaring up. The toner was nice and although the moisturizer made my already oily skin even oilier, it cleared blemishes and scars very well. However, like with all acne products, it has its own negatives. Over the months, it feels as though my skin became so dependent on it that even a missed day would result in massive volcano eruptions on my face. Okay, maybe that last sentence was a bit melodramatic but bottom line, It was like a drug for my skin. I recently stopped using it because I was tired of feeling as though my skin will never be completely free and because of the constant shine and oil on my skin. Okay, enough of my ramblings. The true bottom line is, if you're looking for a quick fix, get this. It works very well at first and it heals past scars! However, if you're looking for something long term, avoid simply because it will lose its effectiveness over time. Thus, I just recently switched to Dan's regimen. Hopefully, the regimen will be like my secret weapon in this never-ending battle.... Like a holy sword of light or something.... Sorry... That last line was kinda random... - Sana
