Oh yeah, I forgot about the itching! Sometimes it's unbearable! I haven't yet worked out the exact conditions for why it happens, because more often than not it's only very mid and not that consciousl...

Accutane & depression

It's arguably difficult to say whether accutane actually triggers depression itself in a medical sense, or whether those who are affected are borderline depressed from acne anyway. As always, I would ...

Looking for advise before letting my Son use Isotretinoin

Can only speak for my own experience, but taking Roaccutane (I'm also in the UK) was the best thing I ever did. Yes, there are potential serious side effects, but they are the exception not the rule. ...

Accutane initial breakout

The dryness will hit you believe me! But that's also kind of the point. Best of luck with the course.

Accutane log

Probably not 'scars', could be PIH and if so it will fade - see if your derm can recommend a cream/lotion to help.

Is my dosage for Accutane too low? What did you start at?

I guess there's no harm in checking with your Derm to put your mind at rest, but they would have prescribed the dosage they felt appropriate. I actually had my dosage reduced before I started my cours...

Why not actually make a point of it and talk to them about your worries and how you feel? I'm sure they'll be supportive if they're real friends. Remember, you are judging yourself far, far more harsh...

My progess, trying to stay positive.

Natural and medical treatments don't have to be mutually exclusive, having a good diet and working out is just a good thing to do anyway, regardless of having acne. If you are happy enough to stick wi...

Nothing works

Yes, certain birth control pills can absolutely help with acne, but obviously they work by messing with hormones. When you say you've tried many treatments, which one's exactly have you've tried?

Ignoring the makeup pictures, I would say that the last two images do look like there is healing going on. But regardless, go see your doctor and get a prescription for something. Please don't sit bac...

If you are a girl with bad acne you shouldn't reproduce

There is no 'acne gene', and acne is not necessarily hereditary. Please, please visit your doctor to arrange some counselling - you should not, and do not, have to feel this way.

Acne still coming back after Accutane.

Sadly, Accutane does not necessarily cure acne for good. Sure, some people's acne will be cleared to the point that it's kept away by your everyday wash routine, but for others it can return. Taking a...

Alternating Epiduo and Isotrex (topical isotretinon)

Personally I wouldn't alternate, just pick one and give it a few weeks minimum before considering swapping to the other if you really don't think there's been any change.

Forehead bumps. PLEASE HELP!!

If it's not a form of acne, blocked pores maybe? What did your Derm say, and what treatments did they give you? Honestly though, I doubt anybody else notices them as much as you do.
