Keep us updated! :) I would love to see how this goes. I've been struggling with acne for a long time, and treatments, washing my face, and even moisturizers make my face so red and terrible looking, even though I'm so gentle. I don't want to get rid of washing my face and not touching it because I wear makeup and have to work, sing in choir, etc. I want to see if this method works. If it does, I'll try it because I am so tired of ugly red skin from when I am treating my acne, or severe acne when I just use cleanser and moisturizer. Thanks for the updates, and for being brave enough to do this. :)

How are you supposed to shave while on this regimen? I'm very curious.

How are you supposed to shave while on this regimen? I'm very curious.

My regimen on this is kinda different than most others. I just pretend like I dont have acne and dont deliberately rub a lot of stuff or avoid normal shower water (after the 2 week beginning period)

I shaved normally with my normal razors and generic shaving cream.

2 months in and all my pimples and acne are gone. There is still some slight discoloration on my forhead in spots, but really, my skin is now clear.

If you think that you have "induced" your own acne by rubbing and irritating it, this might be the fix for you.

Stop looking in the mirror. Stop worrying about how you look. Live your life just like you did before you had skin problems, and I can almost assuredly say your skin will get better.

Ill occasionally check in on this thread in coming months and post pictures of how it's improved :)

goood advice that last line. it becomes hard work checking your face everyday!

granted i didnt cave man as long as you did, but when i tried it for 3 days i noticed my skin became incredibly congested. my skin has problems with keratinisation whereby the outer layer hardens quickly and stops oil getting out, thus causing spots if i don't use a regime.

do you have photos of before and after, i'd like to see

Anyone curious, I used Burts Bees Gel Cleanser, http://www.amazon.com/Burts-Bees-Purifying-Cleanser-Bottle/dp/B0027TZPVQ , a relatively "light" cleanser from what I've read, since it's only 1.0% acid, versus a more normal 2.

I've always suffered from mild acne but in the past year of so it's really flared up. I've tried a butt-load of products ranging from ones sold in drug stores like neutrogena to proactive, none of which have helped. Burt's Bee's Acne Purifying cleanser didn't clear my skin 100%, but it helped a lot and what is left is not nearly as bad as it was before. It smells nice and lemon-y. I've also found that it's most effective when combined with the toner and the blemish stick. (BTW I LOVE the blemish stick). If you're on the fence, it's worth the try. They are also sold in a mini trial kit ($14 for small versions of the cleanser, toner and spot treatment) for those of you who wish to try it out before committing to a large bottle ($10).

First like 5 days I didnt wash my face at all, then I did a little after that.

Im still having skin tone problems, the forehead area in particular is pretty much zit free, but the skin is discolored and red. Still.
