These pictures dont show these whiteheads very well so Im just working with what I was able to photograph. Ive been on accutane since October 14 2024. I weigh 115 pounds and 40mg daily until February and then I was upped to 60mg daily which Im still on currently. Since about the first week of March Ive developed lots and lots of these tiny little white heads all over my nose. If I do mash on my nose pus/ strings come out or little tiny white balls. It did spread to the sides of my nose. It almost looks like those tiny white milk dots newborns have. My nose turned bright red and hot and painful. I kept asking my derm about this which he kept brushing me off and saying it was milia. I felt like this just wasnt the case deep down. Well he finally prescribed me mupirocin ointment which has helped with the redness but even when my skin heals up some and the redness has decreased and the skin has seemed to heal the white heads are still there. I am now on cephalexin 500mg 3x a day as well. Im just curious if anyone has ever seen this?? Why is my nose area randomly doing this and why are these white heads so bad?? Ive never had issues with sebaceous filaments or acne on the nose even BEFORE accutane! Someone please help me Im SOOOOO defeated.
