I have been on the dianette pill on and off for around 5 years now and when Im on it my skin is completely clear but I have tried to come off it 3 times now at different ages and my hormonal acne always comes back. Ive tried waiting it out to see if its just the change in hormones after stopping the pill thats causing it but even after almost 8 months new acne was appearing. So each time I always end up back on it even though I would rather not be taking a contraceptive pill, especially this one that has such a high risk of blood clots. Has anyone ever had success coming off Dianette without just moving onto another contraceptive pill? Or should I speak to my doctors about going on accutane because I feel like I have no other option!
