Ive been using Tretinoin cream for 3 months and I see no improvement, if anything its worse. I used to use different gel and I had amazing results but not Tretinoin. Im now going on antibiotics as well so should I continue using Tretinoin? I have cystic pimples, pustules, and closed comedones

Id suggest continuing Tretinoin alongside the antibiotics, as it often takes 36 months to show real improvement, especially for cystic acne. If irritation is severe, consider reducing the frequency or discussing the option of switching back to Differin with your dermatologist.

Retinoids never did much for me either. Also, I doubt it's just that tretinoin doesn't work for you but adapalene does. I bet something else changed in your life or your acne just got worse naturally somehow. Having said that, I think some tretinoin creams have comedogenic ingredients in them believe it or not.

The Regimen worked for me when all the other stuff didn't. If you haven't tried it, it's amazing. It works.

Three months is still early with tretinoin, many people dont see real improvement until 46 months, and the purge can make things look worse first. Adding antibiotics is common since they help with inflammation, while tretinoin works on clogged pores. If irritation is rough, using it every other night or with moisturizer can help, but its best to check in with your dermatologist to see if you should continue or adjust your routine.
