Im trying out the rooibus tea after seeing this thread...the brand is SALADA its green tea with rooibus, just wondering if this is gonna be as potent or as good as the GET GORGEOUS blend?
Im on my first cup today, I have a pitcher ready so will see what happens with it!! I will update yall.
I started drinking Get Gorgeous last week, drinking about 2-4 cups a day. I broke out really bad on xmas day. Since reading this thread and buying the tea, my xmas breakout has reduced dramatically. I still have gotten new blemishes while drinking it but am keeping optimistic. My skin looks 75% better than it did last week. Hopefully my skin will continue to improve by drinking this tea...oh and I also have used it every morning as a toner on my face. This could be helping alot as well.
The Get Gorgeous tea is better tasting than the Double Red Rooibos (both from the Republic of Tea). However, the double red is MUCH stronger with more antioxidant properties. I have both - actually down to only 1 tea bag of double red so am ordering it now. You really need to drink 3-5 cups a day to maintain the benefits. I can tell on the days I have missed doses due to busy workloads. I try to make it up in the evening if I can. Today, I've used it as a toner again because I'm recovering from a post-Christmas breakout and thought my skin could really use the extra help. Yes, it did help me reduce redness and inflammation, but again you really need to maintain a rather high dose of it to continue seeing results. When used topically, it could dry your skin in excessive amounts (discovered this when I got a bit overzealous one day!).
After reading the reviews of this tea i went on the hunt for it. Went to Holland and Barratt and they sold 3 variations of Roobois tea. Pure Roobois tea, a Roobois and EARL GREY!!! and a Roobois and a berry mix. It was 10% off for the day as well so got 40 bags for about 1.
I bought one of each. I was excited about the Earl Grey mix as i LOVE Earl Grey tea =D Im about to drink one now. It smells nice =D
Ah ha! A person in the UK! How have you got on with the Rooibos from Holland and Barrett - I'm off there in a minute to get some.

Hey a fellow UK'er! I like the tea from Holland and Barrett; they have a buy one get one half price sale on at the moment so its even better!!
You can ask the employees' any questions you want as they are actually trained in holistic healing; they have to pass tests to work there so know everything about the products in store.
They also sold a Dr Stewarts Skin Purify tea which i think helps as well.
I would say that roobois tea does help acne in my experience. Ive stopped taking it recently ( for reasons i cant quite work out; i just sorta stopped haha) and im breaking out again. It seems to hold breakouts at bay. Im going to make one now to get back on the tracks!
You can also buy a cheaper roobois tea from Sainsburys, its under their redbush teas. Tesco didnt sell it for some reason.
The taste to begin with is a bit... overwhelming however it really grows on you; and you'll actually start to crave a cuppa of Roobois tea!

I've seen it in Tesco alright, there's a Tetleys Red Bush Ive seen there.
Ive never noticed any great difference with Rooibos but then again I dont drink it regularly enough, plus I drink it like a normal cuppa tea with milk.
I drink Roobos tea too! For the Australians you can actually grab it from woolies or coles. Mine was a 50pack for only a few dollars and it's organic and tastes pretty much like .... tea. Nothing strong like peppermint or chamomile. I don't know about the health benefits but I'll read more into it now. I only knew it had lots of good stuff and was x10000 better than normal tea. Cheers!
Well he's research quite a lot, I'm pretty sure we can do our own research. Google.com =D

ROOIBOS TEA FACTS
* Rooibos is not a true tea, but a herb. The brew made from the dried Rooibos leaves is therefore a herbal infusion (known as a tisane) rather than a tea, but is widely known as Rooibos tea.
* Rooibos has a distinctive colour, flavour and aroma, which differentiates it from most other teas. The flavour can be described as slightly sweet and fruity.
* The vibrant amber colour of Rooibos comes from the natural colour that develops during the post-harvest aoefermentationa (oxidation) process, brought about by natural enzymes in the plant.
* Rooibos is a pure and natural product, as it contains no colourants, additives or preservatives.
* Rooibos has no kilojoules.
* Rooibos is graded according to colour, flavour, and cut length.
* Rooibos ages well and can be stored for long periods without any deterioration in quality, flavour and taste. In many countries Rooibos is enjoyed as a hot or cold beverage without milk.
ROOIBOS HEALTH FACTS
* Rooibos is a good source of antioxidants and is the only known source of a potent antioxidant aspalathin, which could play a role in combating several lifestyle diseases.
* Unlike black and green teas, Rooibos is naturally caffeine free (not decaffeinated) and therefore suitable for children, infants and breast-feeding mothers.
* Rooibos has proven cancer-fighting properties in animal research studies.
* Rooibos contains low amounts of tannin. (Tannins are astringent, bitter-tasting plant polyphenols that bind and precipitate proteins and interfere with iron absorption in the body.)
* After centuries of use, no negative side effects of Rooibos have ever been recorded.
* In Japan, Rooibos is called aoeLong Life Teaa and considered an anti-ageing beverage. Many Japanese women also believe that Rooibos tea offer special benefits during pregnancy.
ROOIBOS ANTIOXIDANTS
* Rooibos contains a complex and abundant blend of antioxidants.
* Rooibos is the only known source of a specifically beneficial and rare antioxidant called aspalathin.
* Unfermented (green) Rooibos has higher levels of antioxidants than traditional, fermented Rooibos.
* The antioxidant content of Rooibos also depends on the soil conditions of the region where the plant was grown, and on how the infusion was prepared, i.e. ratio of leaves to water, temperature of the water, extraction time, stirring, etcetera.
ROOIBOS vs CANCER, HEART DISEASE, AND MORE a
* Rooibos slows down the development of cancerous skin lesions.
* The complex mixture of polyphenols in Rooibos may help protect against free radicals. (Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage the DNA in cells, leading to cancer.)
* These free radicals can also oxidise cholesterol, leading to clogged blood vessels, heart attack and stroke. The antioxidants in Rooibos can neutralize these free radicals and help to limit their impact.
* Rooibos increases the antioxidant status of ratas livers. This could result in Rooibos being used in the treatment of chronic liver disease. Based on recent research done in the Slovak Republic, this research team recommend Rooibos for people with chronic liver problems.
* Rooibos protects the brains of aged rats against oxidative damage. This could play a role in the treatment of Alzheimeras disease.
* Many of these findings require more research before specific recommendations about the use of Rooibos can be made, and therefore several research groups around the world are currently working on Rooibos.

No problemo! I saw someone posting about the gorgeous brand too but I just got mine from the supermarket. Every roobois tea is from South Africa and should be of a good quality, mine's organic and the taste is different at first. I think It's my favourite tea now however! I have to try white tea and oolong though. I'm unsubscribing from this thread so pm me if anything interesting happens.
I am back to this thread again. How long has it been..Like 2 years.)))))
I am still battling with acne. But 7 months ago I stopped drinking Rooibos tea,the store stopped caring it. I cant drink the spiced one, only plain Rooibos.Plus, I have to drink at least 4 cups to keep my skin clear. 4 cups, people!!.I was addicted to the tea. Anyways, I kinda had clear skin and wanted to sort of "battle" the main cause. Decided not bother with looking for the tea. I did hope stores would start caring it again..Started trying pills,creams,lotions..stuff like that all over again.Again..with no results.
Just ordered Rooibos again on Amazon. 10 bucks for Organic 10 Ounces Rooibos!! Super excited.
Yes, I am suuuuuuuuure this tea is MAGICAL!
Why? I had acne for 12 years, the tea was the only thing that actually kept my skin clear. Overall, I gave up the battle with acne. Now I am back to preventing it rather than wanting to cure it.
question, do you have to apply it topically as well as drink it to see results?
i had my first cup tonight. my mum had some at work
so going to start drinking a few cups a day. see how i go.
just read about applying it topically and its benefits. how much can you drink a day? i dont want to over do it

My skin is clear full stop. I never applied it topically but apparently it contains AHA which is in many of your over the counter products etc which is very good for your scars, red marks
I love the taste
Big Thumbs Up
