After reading the reviews of this tea i went on the hunt for it. Went to Holland and Barratt and they sold 3 variations of Roobois tea. Pure Roobois tea, a Roobois and EARL GREY!!! and a Roobois and a berry mix. It was 10% off for the day as well so got 40 bags for about A1.

I bought one of each. I was excited about the Earl Grey mix as i LOVE Earl Grey tea =D Im about to drink one now. It smells nice =D

i actually find it a very bland tea, little scent either

i bought the one yesterday that was pure rooibos, and one that was rooibus with lemon in it.

i dont care if its bland, if it helps my skin, i will drink it all day. :)

Right, so is the Pickwick Rooibos tea qualified for this?

My tea arrived tonight! I had 2 cups. It is ok - not the best tasting tea in the world, but it's really not bad either! I ordered the Get Gorgeous tea from the Republic of Tea. It came with some catalogs and I found some items for my Mom for Christmas, so that was a bonus! ;) We'll see how it goes the next few days... It's pricey for only 36 tea bags ($10.50). I need to find somewhere else to get it from.

I think I'm going to try it as a toner tonight after work. I feel a small breakout coming on... I HOPE it's just a small one anyway. Maybe it will help. I don't think it could hurt, anyway! Only been drinking it for 2 days now. I'm going to give it a week and evaluate if it's worth the expense.

just a quick one

make sure your diet is low sugar

some of those soymilks can ruin it, by being very high in sugar. try the sugar free ones

i stay away from high sugar prods, and definitely helps my skin

sugar will inflame skin, breakouts etc

I did pick up the "light" version, & I don't drink much of it. It's mostly a splash in that morning cup of coffee (otherwise I drink it black - no creamers or anything). Thanks, though, I'll look out for that in the future. I have been maintaining low sugar otherwise! So far!

So far, it's drastically improved from when I started this retin-a/vitamin/minerals/tea journey! LOL! I had a few days with no active acne at all. I'm on week 3 of retin-a, which is commonly the IB week. I have had a few whiteheads but nothing too crazy and NO cysts! NONE! I'm soooooooo thrilled about that!

Decided to try the oil cleansing method. I got some locally made certified organic jojoba oil & cold pressed castor oil. It removes makeup easily! Very soothing, also! Have used the rooibos tea for toning the last 2 days & I really like that, also. They were sold out of the Get Gorgeous, but I found Double Red Rooibos (1 can left). I grabbed that. It tastes WAY stronger & I like to tell myself that means it works better. LOL! Just got it today, drank 3 cups of it earlier. My overall skin tone has improved a lot. I look HEALTHY instead of dried out or really broken out or both. Overall, things are pretty good, I can't complain! I've made a ton of improvement!

It's from the Republic of Tea. It is not loose tea, it's in the tea bags like the Get Gorgeous. However, it's a mix of leaves and it's crushed (into powder & finely chopped leaves). It literally has a red powder that waifs out when you open the container.

I do have a much healthier looking "glow" about my skin, and I know what you mean about the texture - it's a lot better!! I'm headed past week 3 of Retin-A which is famous for causing breakouts, plus I did break 1 of my biggest rules - I finished my sons eggs that had cheese on them last Wed. Bad idea. I have a small breakout, but no cysts still so I can't complain. Did this to myself, basically! It tasted so good to eat cheese. And it sucks so bad to deal with a minor breakout after having a few clear days! I'm just trying to avoid irritating my face now so it doesn't grow into a big breakout. Should be ok - I've learned a lot about what NOT to do!

It's hard to drink the tea at work with so many other things going on, but I'm getting at least 3 cups during my 12 hr shift, and I have at least one in the evening after I do the oil cleansing method to remove my make-up. I use a bit of that for toner & if I have any breakouts I put the tea bag on it for a few minutes. I may look silly with a wet tea bag on my forehead but I'd rather have that than a zit!

Malkin

I think I ahve been drinking it for a month and a half now.

I also credit my EPO and zinc regimen to no more active, hormonal acne (cysts)

and the tea is just giving my skina great glow

I found it at an organic/health food store. It was the last container, apparently it's popular. I think I'll re-order online today in bulk so I have plenty. It's quite a drive to that store, if only to find out they just sold out again!

I had already stopped dairy at the time of starting the tea. I think dairy does affect an increase of acne for me, but stopping it didn't give me a glowing, healthy looking complexion either. The tea has helped considerably in my case.

I've been drinking Rooibos for a while now as a result of this thread. I think it has helped but I can't be sure, I started on Opti-Zinc and Vitamin B5 at the same time.. Doesn't taste great but it's all good for you so I'll keep at it. What I can say is - my skin has cleared up big time, I think the Zinc and B5 are very helpful.. just gotta work on the red marks (such a pain)
