Edit: Its been 2 weeks since my subcision. Scars may even be a little better than before, but certainly not worse. Safe to say I'm getting some level of long term improvement.
Not sure for if ishould try Ringfeil next time. I think subcision results dependon technique and skill. Novick is guaranteed improvement, but it would be nice to save the money.
If she is closeby, she is definitely worth a consultation, she is a acne scar specialist
She is close, but travel isnt an issue. My last trip to Novick only took 2 hours which is no big deal. Didnt even use a quarter tank of gas.
Money is always an issue though. Cost effectiveness and results matter. Idc if you make six figures, very few people can afford to blow thousands on treatments that dont work. Novick is automatic improvement, but I can think of a lot of things to do with the money Id save with Ringfiel. Money doesnt matter to me if she has no skill though.
I probably wont do another subcision until fall anyway. I think my skin looks pretty damn good right now. You cant even really make the scars out in most situations. Sunlight, bathrooms, stores, etc all look good. Only in harsh lighting do the edges of the scars still show. Everything I have probably rates as grade 1 right now.
I even went on a date on Saturday, and Im seeing her again tomorrow. Hadnt gone on a date for a while because of my scars. Thanks to this community for turning me on to subcision.

You sound awesome dude, very happy for you
Any of you guys have suggestion about doctors who do subcision in europe. I am living in finland and here i can not find any doctors who do that. All they offer are just lasers at an unbelievable price. I once emailed with novick and he said he has an office in isreal where the cost would be a quarter cheaper than what he charges in the states

Did you have treatment done?
Im still holding like 50%+ improvement from my last trip which was almost a month ago. I'll probably do a few more treatments with him and then retire to at home peels and needling.

There's no better feeling than see the end of the road.

Ya i got treatment done for $2k. he did 2 things on me:
1. belataro balance all over the cheeks to improve skin turgor.
2. on 5 scars: subcision + filler (restylane lyft + radiesse)

I saw some improvement. But honestly i have 30+ medium deep scars, so subcision on 5 of them will not give me an overall good appearance. I needed someone who can subcision the entire cheek and temple area, so i ended up going to Dr Rullan in San Diego and i like his treatment much better.
@keving100Where are you located? Seems like you traveled a great distance to see Rullan if you first went to Novick on the east coast.

Im 8 hours north of NYC.

I am from Germany and suffer from severe acne scarring (rolling, boxscars, icepick), laserdamage, fat loss, hypopigmentation and rosacea.
I already had 3 ablative Laser treatments, 2 Subcisions (not Nokor), microneedling and filler. I use the Derminator every 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately, the colour of my skin is white and red like scar tissue.
Every German doctor who does subcision I went to says something different about my scars. The last doc says that my scars aren't tethered anymore, the opposite: too many bonds have been cut that's why my skin hangs down now. That's why i really consider flying to the State or Tel Aviv to see Dr. Sadove, Dr. Novick or Dr. Rullan. Keving100, I read that you already had experience with Dr. Novick and Dr. Rullan. What do you think? Which one is better? Both do the subcision with Nokor, don't they? How much improvement did you get so far?
Anybody here with experience with Dr. Sadove (subcision+ fat grafting and facelift)?
I don't want to waste my money anymore. Is it worth flying to see one of them?
My skin is a mess, I wanted to start first with accutane to get rid of inflammation (rosacea nose) and the cyst)(scars(?) on my chin, but the results of my blood test are bad although I don't drink any alcohol. Any advice? I will post pics later.
all 3 docs are really good acne scar experts. they all do nokor needle subcision.
I am getting good results with subcision and sculptra with Dr Rullan. But in your case, fat grafting might be a better option.
Dr Sadove do skype consultations and you can email your pics to Dr Novick and Rullan to see what they recommend. Then you can pick the most suitable one.
@beautifulambition might be able to give u more specific advice based on your pics
Thank you
Dr. Sadove is my first choice because he is a surgeon and not only a derm.
Dr. Novick is an option because the flights to Tel Aviv are cheap and a friend of my daughter lives there.
But if you think that I could benefit more from Dr. Sadove, I would save my money to see Dr. Sadove.
I contact Dr. Sadove via the contact form of his website.
I am wondering why there aren't email adresses on the websites of the doctors because you cannot attach photos with the contact forms.
I cannot find any contact form of Dr. Novick on his website.
And I receive an error message whenever I send the contact form to Dr. Rullan.
Can you help me with Dr. Novick and Dr. Rullan? Thanks.

@keving100 Thank you very much. That is exactly what BA had already recommended to me Do you have the email addresses of Dr. Novick and Dr. Rullan?
[email protected] (Amy Bernal, Dr Rullan's office manager)
Thank you very much.
I sent them (Dr. Novick and Dr. Rullan) a message on realself.com
Dr. Sadove and Dr. Novick have already answered.
Regarding my photos Dr. Sadove recommends Subcision + autofatgrafting and prp. I will have a phone appointment with him next week.
I have just emailed my photos to Dr. Novick and I will e-mail them now to Dr. Rullan, too. Thank you for your help, keving100
i saw you said you spent 2k in one visit to dr. novick which is a lot. I saw someone say he charges subcision "per spot". Does that mean per 5 scars in one spot or every scar individually? I am just worried because I feel I have a decent amount of scars so if its per scar i feel like that will add up. Also do you know of any good subcision doctors in new england?

he charged me per scar. There is also Dr Yang in NY who charges $500 per dime size area to subcise.
there is Dr Dover in Boston who is famous (no idea if he is good or not). there are about 10 dermatologists who work at that clinic. You might be able to find someome good there. They are definitely worth a consultation since you live in Boston.
@keving100any chance you could take a look at my only post and tell me how many scars yout think I have? I feel like i may have 10 pretty big ones on my cheeks, and then may 5 or so small ones scattered throughout. thats such a crazy method because scars vary so much in size
