Hi! I had 2nd last injections. My derma said that skin looks better and she said that the last time it was difficult to do my injections because the skin lunging, now the skin became more elastic.

I asked about you. She said if you have stretch marks you should to get laser (fraxel) and after that get laviv or sprs.

My skin doesnt burn now. I dont know about alcohol because i dont drink at all

I wanted to just give an update since it will be ONE YEAR next month since this occurred.

I haven't been on the site in a long time because I noticed it was giving me more anxiety about my issue. Anyway.....I did 6 rounds of the saline. It has helped. But my atrophy is not 100% healed. I'm sure I need to do 3-6 more saline injections and probably combine it with laser for better improvement. However, I'm not ready to start treatments again. They are very stressful to me. I noticed, once I stopped treatments, I began to feel ALOT better. The area still bothers me, but not as much. I sometimes notice people glance at it, but not nearly has much as before. And actually, I've been getting a lot of complements on my skin since I've been on the spironolactone and have been doing mild chemical peels. So that has really helped my self esteem. To be honest though, I think I am that small percentage of people who's atrophy will not totally heal. And I've come to accept that fact.

I will start looking into treatments to soften the scar in a few months.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks, V! I am so glad she sees an improvement in your skin. Do you? I wonder if dermarolling would be as good as Fraxel. I don't like the idea of lasers on my skin personally.

Keeping hopeful for both you and I! Is your skin smoother now? You mentioned you have rosacea. I have been diagnosed with it now....vascular which I am sur eis down to the steroids. :(

My skin became really textured (rough with lines) and open pores. Is yours smoother?

ps What do you mean by skin "lunging"? Do you mean it was sagging? I am very happy that this is working for you.

Hi, do you mean your skin was tearing? That is awful if that is the case. I'm not doing dermaroller. I find my skin doesn't heal now....takes forever and scars, so I am afraid to do something that will make it need to heal. Have you seen any improvements at all with the SPRS? I did call Moscow today, and am going to send photos tonight to try to show the damage. They said it might work. The creator of LaViv, Dr. W. Boss, also emailed me and said he thinks it would be a good idea along with fat grafting for the stem cells to help the atrophy. Keep me updated. :)

Hi guys!

I'm so sorry this has happened to you and I felt like I needed to comment on the similarities in our symptoms. I felt like I was reading my own words.

I had a pixel laser procedure done and have since found that ppl who suffer laser damage have these exact symptoms as well. I have suffered orange peel tecture, fat loss in my face, sagging skin and excessive acne like scarring. My face literally aged about 10 years in 2 months. It's been the scariest thing I have ever gone through. I have heard of laviv and have been interested in it. I am excited to hear if it works for you. I am also looking into fillers and fat grafting and poss accutane. Good luck to you and I am excited to hear of your progress!

V- Could you ask your derm if SPRS works on indented scars (like pock marks) and lines? Thanks so much and please keep me updated. :)

Leonasoun- I have met someone with terrible laser damage. I don't believe in lasers at all. I think they cause immense damage. I don't know if it is the same mechanism as steroids, but I think it is similar in some ways. Steroids cause fibroblasts to stop multiplying, which eventually causes a collapse of the extracellular matrix of the skin. I think that lasers cause some sort of radiation damage that also damages fibroblasts. The interesting thing about SPRS, which I learned from calling Moscow the other day, is that they have done the analysis of fibroblasts from young people who have laser damage and the ability of the fibroblasts to proliferate is less than much older people. Now, they said they did not think that steroids go as deeply but they certainly do. I have stretchmark scarring on my face. However, they may do a different sort of damage. They do release, with prolonged use, a pro-inflammatory cytokine. I don't know if adding new fibroblasts would stop that, but stem cell fat transfers likely would. I don't want to give up. I have been damaged by a doctor who did not even tell me there was a steroid in the cream she was giving me.

Are you scars kind of adhered to your face? Mine are. They aren't exactly like "acne" scars but are pitted and lined. I am so sorry this has happened to you.

V- has the SPRS thickened the skin at all? :(

Hi Vzhik-I've been talking to the creator of LaViv. He suggested fat transfers for the stem cells. I think it can help. I am having to fundraise for the rest of my costs. I need fat grafting as well as the subcutaneous fat was also destroyed on much of my face. I think there are many things that need to be done akin to a burns victim.

I know that Matriderm has been used in Germany under the midface to regenerate the dermis. That might work for you as well.

Hi finally a topic I can related too.

I used hydrocortisone cream on my face for a good half a year. And i have the same problems you guys have - sensitive, paper-like skin, atrophy, striae, and CYSTIC ACNE. I can't even touch my skin because I break out and get even more scarring!!

I have been taking supplements for the last half year and washing my face with gentle cleansers.

Nothing has changed!

I have not yet seen a dermo - still on the waiting list.

Help please!!

Snapped, when have you stopped use this cream? Can you use mousturizes?

what supplements did you use?

Why did you use this cream?

I stopped using this cream last April. I forgot to add that I used a chemical sunscreen to protect the rosacea - and I think it was the chemical sunscreen that created more damage because it reacted very badly. So for the entire summer to fall of last year Ive been trying to heal the chemical reaction.

I don't know why I used the cream. I just thought hydrocortisone would help with blemishes - a very stupid and regretful mistake.

The pictures are when my skin is at its worse. When my pores close, it looks better.

What should I do? Do you have the same problem?

SNAPPED, now your skin is very sensetive, right? I dont know what you shold to do. You can try Fukaya's lotion to calm your skin. I used Selvert Thermal Creme Peaux Intolerantes. It is for very very sensetive skin, after piling, sunburn. it does not include bad ingridients. its expiration date is 3 month after opening. You can try it to calm your skin before you will meet your dermatolog.

Diet is very important, you should to eat a lot of protein, vegatables... vitamin C. No fast food etc.

i hope you will meet your dermatolog soon.
