Ive done two more sessions last month. So all in all ive done tca cross 5 times already on my nose. Once in 2011, 2x in 2015 and 2x just last month.

As you can see, they are still fresh and red. Im using tretinoin 0.05% to help with the collagen production. The problem that I always encounter is the oilyness of my nose is preventing the scab to stay longer. They always fall off  on the 2nd or 3rd day. And sometimes they dont even form scab at all because my nose is super oily 24/7. By the way, these were all performed by board certified dermatologists. Should i do more or an extremely oily nose is just too hard to Cross??

The pits don't look that deep. Do you feel they are more surface oriented than when you started?

For reds picosure works really well on your skin type. It also generates more collagen/ cartilage.

Have you considered hydro peels, ... they are cheap and clean out the pores/sebum/oil. There are also peels and products to dry up sebum. Salicylic Acid peels (aspirin) also help with this.

You don't necessarily need a scab to heal from cross. Just don't exfoliate, have the shower go on spots, or pick off.

I forget did you try fraxel or 3-7% density co2 for the nose?

Hi thank you for your quick response. I feel they are less deeper now but usually they look like this (about 30 to 50% improvement )when it's still fresh.

Do you think i need to do the hydro/salicylic peels first before doing another round of Cross?

And also i have not tried fraxel or co2 on my nose. Just Tca CROSS 5 times.

@giveback30-50% improvement is very good. No I think the job your derm is doing on the tca cross is good. Continue until you do the co2 or erbium work to resurface.

Wait for peels for the future.

Ok I will continue to do Cross until they are all levelled. Any idea on the maximum number of Crosses I can do? Will exceeding 6 treatments be okay still?

It is best for you and your Dr to decide this. Ask him what the gameplan is to raise and resurface.

Please take a look at this:

Doctor is suggesting Pixel laser after a few more Crosses. Is Pixel kind of outdated already?

IT can be.... IT's a CO2 laser. Hopefully not fractional and doing it ablative (no grids) for smooth out scars. Erbium does well for this but CO2 can be used.

Just TCA cross. Nope it did not get worse on my nose because they were really deep to begin with.

Day 3 of my 6th TCA CROSS session. The ones on my nose still hardly scabs because of too much oil production and I have some acne forming on the left side of my nose because i couldnt do my regimen for 3 days. The doctor also crossed some enlarged pores and small icepicks on my cheeks. The procedure is just $30 per session, $60 for whole face. I live in Asia(Philippines) so i guess it is cheaper here.

Ive had those scars for bout 8 years now..

I tried tca cross once, but I didnt like it. Derm told me I wasnt allowed to wash my nose for a day or two and that caused my nose to produce more oil and most of the scabs turned into whiteheads. Scabs with pus underneath. What do you guys think would help me lessen the appearance of those pits? I got those pits by the way from extracting huge blackheads. HUGE as in SUPER BIG BLACKHEADS and a few cysts.

hello give back i know na parehas tayong pinoy may mga nabasa ako sa mga post mo parehas tayo ng problema mas malala pa nga yung saken sa tingin ko i hope makahanap ka ng paraan para magamot mo yung scars mo sa nose pwede tayo mag usap sa facebook para makapagtulungan tayong dalawa add mo lng ako (carl ryan)

Omg i have ice pick scars on my nose too. ALL OVER MY NOSE. I have ice pick scars and a few bumps  (which i think may be acne scars too; i think these bumps are caused by severe acne breakouts). I am 18 yrs old and i am searching for remedies to remove or lessen the appearance of these scars. I've been searching for derma treatments also but im scared to undergo treatments because of the risks :(( do you know any solution for cases like this :(( or any advice :((

hi beautifulambition, im a year late for this discussion but I will still hope for a reply :(( giveback's scars and mine are almost similar. Aside from what-i-think-are-icepick-acne-scars, I also have bumps on my nose, and i think these too, are acne scars brought by my severe acne breakcouts and picking :(( I would like to upload a clear photo of my nose but unfortunately I couldn't. However i'll attach a photo here showing some of my bumps on the left side of my nose (note: the photo is of low quality)

@TroubledbyIcePickScarsTo me the original post belonged in the hypertrophic scar forum. The OP had a hypterophic scar on his nose that needed steriod injection and some laser work done or electro surgery to scrape it off.

Icepick work can be done first with tca cross to the nose. Note the nose does not heal like the rest of skin(cartilage) so the scars will get wider and then need resurfacing.

IF your 18 I would find a good cosmetic Dr who can do these procedures for you where you live. Look especially for TCA Cross, they are pretty cheap. Laser can be done down the line. Steriod injection and Electrosurgery are pretty cheap as wellfor you bump. Lots of people have these bumps and large pores on their nose.

You can try dermastamping at home if you wish.

Thank you so much @beautifulambition!! I would research on what you've suggested and contact a doctor soon. I am very pleased with your response. Thank you again!!
