hiya everyone,

sorry i hav,nt been on earlier than this but i,ve been recovering. Some of you may be aware that i,ve had 2 procedures done by dr khan. The first was done 5weeks ago where i got fat removed from my abdomen and cells injected into my face plus some subcision second treatment was done 2 weeks ago when i had skin removed from my neck and dermaroller then cells from the skin were injected and rubbed onto the skin to give me pigmentation. Results...... plumped out skin.... yes. scars.....still here but have improved.......pigmentation.......slight change. dr khan said it would take about 6 weeks for cells to kick in and skin would improve within 3-6 months - heres hoping! By the way hope u all have a MERRY X.MAS XX

BRD

did you ever find out what might help me to reduce fat grafting?

Hi Jaden,

Please excuse my late reply.

I have been doing a bit of internet research regarding ultrasound massage skin therapy for the reduction of adipose tissue. I have primarily searched through online peer reviewed medical journals. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any controlled studies regarding the use of 3-5 Mhz ultrasound massagers for facial contouring and fat reduction.

Facial tissues are very delicate and thus when performing any specific treatment one must evaluate procedural predictability, reliability and repeatability in order to properly construct a realistic benefits/risks ratio. That said, at the moment I am unable to assess the risks objectively. I don't have direct experience with this technology, nor do I know of anyone who has used it in the way I initially conjectured may be beneficial for your specific condition. Therefore it would be unethical of me to recommend it to you at this point of time.

I'll keep looking for solutions that may be of benefit to you. Please feel free to contact me anytime.

All the best this holiday season.

Here's a heartbreaking post from someone where Dr Lam basically insinuates this will never get done here in the States :(

This does not look promising. Better figure out how to get to Japan to have it done folks!

I see.. 😐 Well, that's wonderful, icaretohelp. That you're happy with the results so far. I hope things keep improving. 🙂

Hello I joined the website yesterday when I had learned of the stem cell scar revision treatment and I am extremely glad to hear from the person who praised the work of Dr Aamer Khan saying its the best treatment of acne scarring around. I am considering going to his clinic to have my scars treated and was very happy to hear this testimonial.

Kind Regards Kay Kaur

Hello, this is a message for Dostoyevsky, I went to see Dr Khan and he didn't mention anything about the stem cellutions lasting just 12 months and seemed very positive about the whole procedure claiming it is cutting edge technology and has no side effects. However after reading some of the comments on this thread I don't know what to believe I certanly dont want to spend A6,500 on a treatment that will ware off after 12 months. where has this come from anyway? and how can someone comment on it without actually having had the procedure? This particular procedure appealled to me because Dr Khan said its less painful than the Fraxel laser and with a higher percentage of improvement rate and no side effects. I aint up for the weeping sore and bleeding skin and am really hoping that this will be the one. So could you or anyone else shed some light on thisa cell cellutions treatment for pitted scarring, chicken pox scarring and other injury scars to the face? Thanks

Kind Regards Kay Kaur

When? you think by this century? Denver International Airport has good flight rates for only $800 direct to London. If I am looking at minimal downtime then I would probably highly consider it, but I am of the understanding you need multiple treatments,a s with anything else, to get best results. Is this true? If this truely eradicates carring by 90% and I see hardcore proof with many up close, unaltered digital photos with high resolution, then I will fly to London 20 times. I am not apologetic about how I feel here and will not once again deal with 'needing to have realistic expectations." Realistic expectations mean it does not work in my opinion! I have thrown away $30,000 on cosmetic procedures to try to recover from the damage. My problem really isn;t the money, it's finding something that REALLY works. I've had the following, and my sHADOWING FROM SCARRING is WORSE:

wire brush dermabrasion

silicone microdroplet

Fraxel (too many times to count)

other noninvasive crappy laser

punch excisions

And there's many more I can't think of off the top of my head. I also STILL break out in nodules and pustules and am getting NEW scars. I need to be on a strict NO DAIRY diet to stop the acne. Nothing else works. I REALLY need someone's help!! And you all can see how long i've been a member!! Never a happy day for me 🙁

Hi Kay Kuar,

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by the 12 months... I don't think it was me who you're referring to or if it was, it was a mistake on my part. Dr Khan said the best results can be seen within 3 - 6 months but I did see an improvement straight afterwards because my scars weren't as indented as before. Fat is injected into the scars... to be honest the indents don't look as good as they used to now that it's 4 months after the procedure but they are still a whole lot better than they used to be and I've noticed that my skin heals a lot faster now after the occasional pimple and they don't seem to be leaving scars (I assume that's the stem cells taking effect). All in all, I would still recommend the procedure because my skin looks a lot better, although it's still not perfect. I'm away at the moment but will report back properly once I return back to the UK.

hiya v_singh

Its been about 6 weeks since my stem cell injections, overall my skin looks healthier and plumper - scars and open pores still here but definatley have improved they appear smaller and not as deep as before the treatment. Dr Khan said my skin would continue to improve for 3 - 6 months. I hope he,s right!!. By the way it was,nt me who recommended a cream sorry but if it helps terproline cream is supposed to be good for collegen build up. x

Dear Wishful Thinker and Dostoyevsky,

It's great to hear from you and that you've had some improvement. How severe were your scars (are we talking Brad Pitt, Dane Cook etc)? Is it possible to tell approximately the percentage that your scars have improved, so far? Would you recommend this treatment, based on the results so far?

I wish you all the best!

/J

I had a deep peel performed on me on 4th january, still i am so red like lobster, and most of my scarring is still there , and my plastic surgeon said that after redness fades away, he would like to do stem cell therapy on me....and he is talking about results that would last probably up to 40 years from day of the treatment..... i didnt have time to read whole topic, but has anyone undergone this procedure and what are your thoughts about it?

Thanx in advance

As far as I know there are currently very few doctors offering the treatment discussed in this thread... What exactly does your doctor mean when he says "stem cell therapy"? I assume you're not seeing Dr. Khan in the UK?

Well, that's wonderful. That's great that you can get this done. 🙂 What will your surgeon charge, if you don't mind me asking?
