any help would be greatly appreciated

Can't you get stretch marks lasered? I think that would really help.

Yes, they can be lasered. Follow along in my thread if you have questions about stretch mark removal: click here.

Hi,

Thanks so much for posting this information. I have a quick question about the clinic in Tokyo. Do they perform the procedures you are describing here for acne scars? From your posts, I get the impression that no doctors anywhere in the world are performing the procedure for the general public, but that there are doctors doing research trials in Japan and China. Their website makes it seem that they are performing the procedures for consumers, though.

I am in Tokyo once a year and am considering getting this done. Any info will be great.

Thank you!

A

I found an article about a hospital in Taiwan using this procedure for anti-aging treatments. It says they only charge about 300 USD per treatment...which sounds amazing

P.S. anyone heard from BRD in the past few months?

The above link is incorrect.Try this one.

http://www.medicalspamd.com/the-blog/2009/...from-korea.html

Apparently, stem cell therapy is already being performed in China for awhile now.2012 and the group that is planning to goto China, heres one more option and place to inquire about. And it seems like a more viable one.The article says the only risk is that the stem cells could copy cancer cells in the bodyaso cancer patients and survivors will want to take a pass. But I thought we all have cancer cells in our bodies at all times. Its just a matter of what level. If its not excessively high, our immune will do its work by destroying them.

Another interesting comment was by a person questioning the procedure by saying how much better is it waiting 2 weeks to re-inject the stem cells .I also heard from one doctor that its better to inject immediately as soon as the cells are extracted from the body. What do u guys think?

Some more links.

Its good to see patients there are benefiting from stem cells. We now have more choices and hopes when it comes to treating diseases like cancer.

Yeah I just thought maybe you would have tried to contact them since you said you were going to Taiwan soon.

Anyway I found another doctor in the US (New Jersey) who performs a "Surgical Facelift" using stem cells! His website has before and afters and another article says it costs around 5,000.

youthfulneck.com/stem-cell-face-lifts.htm

stemcell.taragana.net/archive/stem-cell-researchers-introduces-new-face-lifting-procedure-without-involving-surgery/

This thread has been the only thing that has given me hope in a long time, so I am just trying to keep it going.

Actually I didn't read carefully enough, he only uses growth factors to "enhance" stem cells during fat-grafting...But maybe he would be open to trying BRD's procedure. It doesn't seem like too far a jump.

BRD uses GF's that are only approved for in-vitro uses in North America and the UK even though these GF's can already be found in our tissues. Dr. Giampapa uses GF hormones like thyroid and estrogen.

oh yes, he's certainly made a lot off of us with his free advice and wealth of knowledge. why he may have even encouraged people to pursue safer, more effective forms of treatment than traditional resurfacing and fillers. what a scam artist!

You're juvenile attempt to badmouth a fellow, not to mention highly respected and informative member of this board is not welcome. Your negative post does not enlighten nor help others.

BRD was certainly NOT a scam at all.

He was the first person to mention Blood Injections with LED therapy, on this forum if I recall. Both procedures have potential benefits.

I just hope he comes back again to offer more great advise.

Quick question about the mesenchymal stem cell therapy: What would happen if the same procedure was done on normal, healthy tissue? Would nothing happen or would extra tissue grow? If it doesn't, does that mean that the stem cell repairs back to the original condition of the skin, or is it just treated just as a filler?
